Ainori is another dating reality show but much more like a normal Japanese reality show than Terrace House, with its in your face animation, voiceovers, cutaways. At first I was overwhelmed with just how much was happening on screen but after a while I was interested in the members and the weirdness became fun to watch, The members seem like average Japanese 20 year olds looking for love who probably haven't travelled much and are very much outside their comfort zone.
I just finished watching Ep 14 and I'm finding this drama to be so adorable! The love story between Miao Miao…
Yeah Kuan Lin only seems to have that blank stare or is smiling/laughing and it was weird to watch in the episode about the mother since he just has that poker face throughout. Wang Run Ze seems to be the better actor and a more interesting character for me.
Just started this drama and I really like it so far, Kahoko could easily be a spoiled entitled brat and Mugino could be a cynical edgelord but they're both genuinely so kind and endearing and their relationship is the cutest one I've seen. I see people complaining about them not kissing but imo it's much better the way it is, they're both helping each other grow and that makes for a much more meaningful relationship than them constantly going at each other.
The story is very cliched and certain plot points are really problematic but where this series shines is in the awareness that it's not meant to be taken seriously and the two leads are so endearing. Mao Inoue is just adorable! I think the more problematic aspects of the show can be chalked up to the fact that it's a product of its time and society.
Hit points (HP) translated as "Blood left" should be all you need to know about the NFLX translation. It is comically…
omg I spent half of the first episode wondering if blood left was some new stat in this game and then I realised it's HP. I think they're machine translated which explains why they're so terrible, it's sad netflix wouldn't at least review what they're putting out.
I was about to watch it on Netflix now. Why are they awful?
Yeah that could be the issue it seemed machine translated or by people who weren't fluent in English. That is disappointing and I hope netflix fixes it,

I can get the gist of what they're saying but the subtitles feel like they're directly translated and it doesn't read properly. It could be just me but you can check it out for yourself and maybe it won't bother you.
