Just started watching this, 3 episodes in, and upset with Sut's father and sister. First his pride and prejudice made him cut off his son. And now that he's dead, feels guilty and wants to make amends by raising his grandson. Fine, understandable but you don't uproot a child from the only family he's ever known and loved after his parents died. He's not an orphan, he has an uncle and grandparents too. Forgot about them? What so hard in reaching out and coming up with a solution how you all will raise Tawan? Instead of throwing in their face you have money and a big house (Sut's sister).
What episode they realize they’re in the wrong in trying to take Tawan away? And offer a true apology? Might determine whether I'll stick with this drama or not.
Enjoying the show so far but... don't know if it's the director or the actress playing the FL intention, but they don't seem to have a grasp on what being 'sassy' means. To be sassy is to be bold and overly forward. Fresh, smart (even smart mouth) and having unrestrained behavior.
Instead the drama FL is rash and reckless, jumping headfirst into danger with no plan (being stupid). And getting upset at the ML for accidental skinship and accusing him of trying to take advantage of her. When instead should've made fun of him and teased him to make him feel awkward and beg her to stop. And have him questioning her why she's not afraid of him taking advantage of her. Him reminding her about propriety.
If I'd known I wouldn't be able to finish watching this drama I wouldn't have started. Does anyone know where I can watch the last two episodes where the links actually works. Tried using the links found on LakornGalaxy and CatAttack but they led me to "questionable" sites instead.
Enjoyed watching this show. And this was after I was looking for something to watch after finishing To the Moon and Back/Matalada starring James Ji and Toey. Looking for a new show before withdrawal knocks me down.
Also, could've sworn the actress playing Mae Pong was also the mother in Poo Bao Yayee Indy Inter. Another mother trying to set up her son to marry the wrong person, hating and fighting the woman he chose. At least in PBYII the mother wised up much quicker and started liking the girl and supporting her as her DIL. But she (Mae Pong actress) plays the FL's mom in Mr. Lipstick(seen already). And the ML's mom in the Thai version of Put Your Head on My Shoulder(seen already).
Anyways, anyone have any recommendations of light/non-toxic Thai dramas, where the couple(s) have chemistry? And similar to Ruk Tuam Toong and set in the countryside? FYI, already seen Hak Lai My Lady, Poo Bao Indy Yayee Inter and You Are My Universe. And already have Mae Krua Kon Mai on my plan-to-watch list.
Like to see the Taiwan remake of "Mars." It's based on a manga about a shy art student and a popular play boy who become drawn to each other. And heal each other's wounds. There's also an old Thai drama I'd like to see a remake of. "Kaew Tah Pee" (2006) starring Tik and Cherry. Love to see Thai remakes of Korean drama "Touch Your Heart(2019). And the Chinese dramas "You Are My Glory," "Moonlight," "Gank Your Heart" or "Falling Into Your Smile" and "I Hear You." And some time-travel/cross world traveler Thai remakes of "Queen In Hyun's Man," "Mr. Bad" and "Romance of Tiger and Rose."
Okay, Thai dramaland writers, you really need to stop this. It's overdone and we're in 2023 now, going into 2024.
Stop making your female lead wake up and automatically think she's been assaulted/raped. Yes, she's allowed to panic waking up in a strange place. But is it that hard to let her think a bit and realize maybe nothing happened. Like check herself to confirm if she's in pain or has bruises on her hips, thighs and nether regions. Whether there's any stickiness or blood down there or on the sheets. And even after checking, to find the answer is not at all, for peace of mind take the rape kit test no matter what her parents or friends say. Request or demand to see video footage of who she was with. Don't just have them blame an innocent person because they jumped to the wrong conclusion without gathering all the facts first. Innocent people do end up in jail due to testimony and insufficient evidence.
And being sickly is not an excuse to not be a decent human being, barking and biting at people. Please, please, please write a parent(s) and/or sibling who scold and punish them. Not spoil and enable them. Or who cares more about their face and reputation than their child/sibling wellbeing.
Started watching this after watching Hak Lai, My Lady. It's been a long time since I've watched a Weir lakorn. Liked him in Pin Anong and Wong Wien Hua Jai. He seems to play the country/indy male role well.
The mothers in both Hak Lai, My Lady and Poo Bao Indy annoy me. Why do they not want to believe in what their husband and son are telling them how a certain person is no good? As if it's just jealousy talking or they don't have an eye for people. At least in Poo Bao, the ml, Tossapol is a cop and with his instincts and his dad as witness, she should at least stop and think and take off the blinders. Because it doesn't make sense of how in a rural/farming village, there's one person who's exceedingly rich. Where is the money coming from?
Even worse, those mothers are trying to push their son towards the villain's daughter who they don't love and have no interest in. While hating and finding fault with the woman their son likes. Thinking they're gold diggers who are no good for him. When storyline wise, as a city girl, they're richer than him.
I've noticed how a lot of Thai dramas have a lot of remakes of a previous lakorn. But not this one. There's only two versions.
Love Tik and Cherry in this one but would like to see a remake with a new ml and fl take on this storyline. With tighter writing and less women slapping, screaming and hair pulling.
Can see Baifern, Ferny or Thisa playing the fl teacher. Can't think of any actors to play the ml. Maybe Film or Donut? Mario, Mark Prin or James Ji?
Which Thai actor and actress do you think will do it justice? You'd like to see as the blind fisherman/hi-so and heart of a gold teacher?
Like the fake/contract marriage trope and a drama featuring a chid(ren) playing cupid for the ml and fl. But will wait until Ohsweethaven finishes subbing this drama. Anyone have good drama recommendations with the two tropes mentioned? Must a completed drama with eng sub available. Thanks!
Been watching lakorns on and off for years. And it still confuses and irks me with how they portray orphans. It's so extreme and getting old too.
They're either hated by other characters, who's just plain hating. Thinking they're up to no good, cursed at and looked down on. That they're evil and want to steal what doesn't belong to them when they're actually a good person. Or they're portrayed as a greedy, murdering psycho biting the hands of the kind people who looked out for and took care of them.
Why only those two portrayals? I'm hoping this isn't art imitating life because the perception on orphans is just wrong. It's enough to make me drop a lakorn. But will sometimes plod through, if not too frustrating, only to see the haters get what they deserve.
This is my second lakorn starring Euro as the male lead and loving it too. Although the fl in Husband Overnight drove me crazy. But Euro and the little boy made it worth watching. Would love to see Euro and Prapye in another lakorn.
how is the villain so strong in this ? is he taking some chemical drugs that made him strong ..And Nam soon is…
Was wondering the same thing. Thought I was seeing things. Could it be he's distantly related and due to some mutant gene anomaly got their super strength despite being male?
What was the fl thinking?! Ml told her whether sun woo was the killer or not she was going to be the next target. Instead of practicing caution, she gets herself released from jail, from safety and keeps walking around at night.
Meeting up and hanging out in remote places. It's like she's telling the killer 'look, here I am. I'm making it easy for you to get me.'
And I don't remember or think the show did, but was there no curfew issued until the killer was caught? I know the village chief made a magephone message about the panty thief. Suggesting the women to dry their underwear indoors. And they had a community meeting where they argued about installing cctvs or have a ritual.
And who is the killer.?!Was starting to think it was sun woo but he had another personality so the blackouts happen when the killer personality took over.
I think I'd only watched one episode of this then dropped it because the fl was coming off too much of a door mat. Thinking of giving the drama another try though. But then another similar drama is on my mind and I can't remember the name of it. It's the same plot where the ml is in danger and has to marry the fl as a sort of protection talisman. But this will the couple's second marriage as they'd married before for the a similar reason but they'd divorced later. And now they have to remarry again. Anyone recognizes the drama?

I haven't watched them yet as the episode length is, 1.5 hours, so long. Looking for something 45-60 minutes long.

Rant done.

Please, please, please drama gods let there be a family/reunion team up. Bong Soon and her grandma teaming up with Nam Soon and her mom and grandma.
