what really shocked me about this drama is that I was 100% team 17 in the novel but the drama is making me love…
Wow, I was going to say exactly the same things you did and then I read your post so now I donāt need to type it all out! Lol Visually seeing XLās expressions, his movements and actions in the drama reflect romantic love or ābeing in loveā with someone. In the novel it comes across as caring about or friendship/buddy love. Of course, this is my take from the English translation so perhaps their is something lost in translation.
The drama is much more powerful in getting each charactersā POV across to the viewer and actually the ālovers bugā requirements etc. I understood much better in the drama rather than in the book as well, which makes a BIG difference to understanding what XL is accepting in taking the bug. I usually donāt post āthis is the bestā or āI love this drama so much commentsā but this is a rare exception! I am truly loving this drama so far and Iām preparing many boxes of tissues for the rollercoaster of angst ahead. Waiting for S2 will be tough and I hope they donāt string it out too much.
This comment section supports the sad truth that people generally canāt understand someone elseās perspective until they actually live it themselves.
Remember the idiom: āBefore you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoesā.
In other words before judging someone, you must understand his experiences, challenges, thought processes, etc. This refers to having EMPATHY
