I’m just replying in the same fashion you are with me.
Of course, nothing is really obvious or absolute as you state, but in any case it is his business to deal with and I’m not that invested in the topic of his weight.
Whether his looks fit different roles is up to the Director(s) of each project. However, viewers do have the right to agree or disagree with the Directors choices and that can include whether the viewer agrees that the actor’s looks reflect their part. Clearly, you feel Lou Yunxi’s look matches your perspective of his role but in no way is it slam dunk or “not appropriate” to discuss his look which includes his physical appearance. Differences of opinion have every right to be mentioned and discussed here. Telling someone to “just leave it alone” is smug and rude. Enough said, I believe in free speech and open forums of discussion.

Sigh, ok started 1 year and 4 or 5 months ago and ended 1 year ago. Call that years if it makes you feel better. I am aware he posted 3 photos on Weibo and responded to comments that he is too skinny…
Never thought that this could be a problem for some, probably cos im like him, lol
Yes, you are right and while it is probably annoying for him to keep hearing it again and again hopefully he realizes that most people are just voicing concern for him. Wish I had people worrying and caring about me that much lol!

I totally get some have that body type, I know a guy like that who can eat anything and as much as he wants with metabolism overdrive BUT Lou Yun didn’t used to be/look SO skinny when he was younger. Thin yes but not emaciated and “typically” people get heavier as they age as their metabolism slows down. I actually don’t see it as much here as there are more layers and bulk in the costumes than modern day dramas. I had to stop watching Light Chaser because it was too distracting. He is just such a great actor and I’m sure fans just are concerned for him.
I think a lot of people in this comment section forgets how collectivist Korea is and how high they value family.…
I think everyone is forgetting it takes two to tango and WJ’s father wasn’t kidnapped and forced to be with Heeja. He is also a bad person who left his wife and kids so they are guilty of being associated with a bad family member as well. They should be sympathetic towards DJ who had to live with a despicable mother and multiple fathers. He has suffered terribly in his life as well.

HS disgusts me. She has 100% been selfish from beginning to end. All she ever thinks about is her love life and herself. What an incredible hypocrite! I wanted to reach into the screen and slap her silly while telling her off. Her sole focus is to find a man any man will do. When has she ever thought about family or sharing burdens with her YOUNGER sister? WJ has been the glue holding everything together for her mother, sister and brother and what the hell is wrong with YJ telling HS that was so awful. I’m so incredibly frustrated with all of their behavior, each and every one of them.

Why does every evil bad guy/girl have to cackle maniacally in dramas, it’s cringey? Makes me think of vaudeville villains or entry level acting. Wish they would stop using this ploy.

I hate that deer in the headlights wide eyed look with a kiss. So absolutely ridiculous. Everything is stretched out for too long as well so you have to look at it on screen for waaaayyyy too much time!

I sympathize and understand that constraint BUT they should avoid being in roles where kissing and romance are part of the character or they need to do what is necessary to make the role believable. I’m surprised a Director is ok with lackluster fish kisses or those in which only one party is putting in the effort. I suppose if the person is a highly sought after actor they may get a pass but it does affect the audiences immersion into the story and characters. Perhaps in Lakorn dramas they don’t care idk.
