Yeah the same for me. Saya and Eunseom were like 2 different people in season 1 - in looks and characters. I was…
Well after seeing playing Eunsenom pretending to be Saya in season 4, I don't think the feel is gone;).
Also I'm ok. with even main changes to characters, if I can comprehend how they got there. Eunsenom becoming more heartless after 8 years of being a leader marchnig his people to war - yeah make sense. Saya becoming less mad (and also less cunning) by finding out he has a brother makes absolutely no sense.
He was not healed by this, he just become more convinced he is a part of the prophecy and more important that everybody else (and that Tanya cares about his brother and is playing him). He should become more mad not less.
If he overcomed this, it should at least be explained how, should the character still be belivable. Years passed, "the sociophatic feel is gone"- won't do it. It would be like showing us sociophatic Saya in s.1 but not the locking up and mistreating by Taealha that led to it;).
Of course, the show can handle it like that - explaying everything with "years passed" instead of showing what caused some major developements but the show would be loosing quality by taking it that simple.
Seeing ep. 4 though I have a good feeling and starting to think they are acctually going for something interessting with this. So still waiting to see what they do with Saya, hopefully in ep.5:).
Eunseom and Tanya reunited and even kissed. Such a sweet moment. Not gonna lie, when I started season 2, I had…
Yeah the same for me. Saya and Eunseom were like 2 different people in season 1 - in looks and characters. I was a bit disapointed that they became so similar to eachother in season 2. I had a hard time telling one from another (looks and characters) to be honest. But it makes more sense now, since they were going for the brothers switch - at least the similar look make sense now. I still hoping for the character of Saya to develope more - I'm missing the bit sociopathic feel about him till now, and LJG certainly is able to deliver that. Let see, what happens in ep. 4:).
This drama is seriously underrated - I guess that is because it's not an easy one to watch: it is slow and artistic, the time line is jumping back and forth - no happy ending, no good, naive characters either, no remorse, no healthy relationships, no sweet easy love, or silly characters created just for the purpose of being a comic relief so the audience don't have to deal with too much seriousness- none of the things we got used to nowadays dramas. Everyone in this drama is messed up to the point you have problems associating or feeling with any of the characters, they are to messed up to be likable. If the only character you somehow manage to somewhat have compassion with is the obsessed stalking ex-lover, you know this is not a standard k-drama and things are not going to end well. It was clearly not made to be an enjoyable evening or coffee break watch or to reach a wide audience. Thanks god for that - someone still dares to go for something else as an easy entertainment. Well done. I'm also impressed how much Kim Jae Youngs image changed in this drama. I suppose he's lost some weight for the drama, that would explain the facial changes and also made his eyes ever more expressive. His acting improved imense as well, I'm looking forward to new dramas/movies with him.
People actually combust when they see sex scenes in kdramas, it is very dangerous of Netflix to do this. Please…
Innocent minds? Yeah they might start imagining inappriopriate things. Thinking of Squid Games though...... Like everybody, including the young and innocent, watched it right? Innocent minds imagining themselves under Denver = disturbed 😂. Innocent minds imagining themselves brutally killing countles people for the sake of rich people being entertained = o.K. Let just hope our inocent K-drama lovers all will have (good) sex at some point instead of displaying pointless violence after someone has lost a game 😂.
I think she is no longer a person, but some kind of “alien”, because she has not grown in 5 years, she is…
Not a mouth but gills and fish scales and the eyes are strange because they have membranes like frogs or sharks eyes do- that is probably why they also showed a fish not dying in contact with the lunar water - it just multiplicated it and then swam in it - it is suggesting that Luna survived because her gens were engineered a certain way after the scientists realized fishes are not drawning in the water (yeah I know amazing dicsovery:)). Luna is kind of a human-fish-hybrid. The fish was multiplicating the water though - so either the multiplications of the lunar water in living organisms are not endless but stop at some point or they killed the fish - otherwise the whole station would have been under water because of it:). I'm kind of imagining what happend to Luna 72: Luna 072 - the fish-hybrid: all vital signs are stable, multiplication detected - ok. kill it, kill it!!!! Seriously I think they manged to replace the water in the cells of Luna 073 with lunar water somehow or grew her cells with the lunar water- she is now a lunar creature because of it and can survive on the moon. That would also explain why the plant could've grown without any light or heat (the station has been shut down for 5 years including the power systems . so both plant and Luna survived without any live support that long): the plant might have came from an earthly seed but grew it cells with the lunar water afterwards - it cells were therefore filled with it and already adapted to the conditions on the moon.
that was... meh? i was expecting a refreshing remake, as i was super invested on the unification of the north…
And if they had changed the orginal plot there would have been people criticizing changing of the plot. Few comments below there is already someone complaining about not having Bella Ciao as OST lol. I guess that is the problem with remakes - no matter what you do, there always will be someone upset about something;). I'm loving this one though.
I did not read the novel, so I don't compare to anything . But jeez is this drama poorly written and the plot an endless loop. ML is hot though and the acting does not suck, given those lines and the plot the actors have to work with,
Please stop criticising the new cast or it might happen that LJG won't accept the role because of all the hate and who will be the new replacement then 🙈? I mean SJK is the best Saya/Eunseom but he is definitely not happenig anymore since he refused - nothing we say will change that. LJG ist the next best choice for the role! He will be great as the sociopathic Saya, just watch his performance in Flower of Evil (acctually I'm kind of excited about that although SJKs Saya is my all time favorite). I'm shure he will make a decent Eunseom too. If he refuses because of all the negativity who else there is to be put in this role?
Kind of raises the obvious question right? Why is he trying so hard to protect CP when he tried to kill her just…
I think he did not try to kill CP. He just shoot at him at missed on purpose. I think he wanted to make shure, that people would think, someone wants to kill the CP, so that CP would need a bodyguard in the first place and Ga On would get so the opporunity to place himself close to CP - for his own reasons (in that case I rather belive, he wants to protect the CP). Or so the grandmother has a reason to assign a bodyguard to CP. Probably the whole (fake) "assasination" was even her idea -again for her own reasons (musn't necessairly be the same as Go On's). She probably just wanted a spy. Well that is my theory anyhow;)
