Btw thank you for the feedback, I’m still new to like writing reviews and this is only my 2nd hahaha.
Awesome! \o/ Found it on youtube. It's next on my list now. Keep up the great reviews whenever you have the urge to write! judging from your ptw we're interested in a lot of the same shows so I'll be keeping an eye out to see what ya think of them

Oh, you're just fun to read. Thanks! I really wanted to see this before, and now I have to. Where did you find it?

If you enjoyed Battle of Changsha then you should definitely give A Touch of Green a go. It's fully subbed on…
Added it to my rapidly depleting queue, ty <3

I have watched quite a few Chinese dramas and perused this site a lot when it comes to looking for other dramas…
You might be amazed what people can take affront to or troll at on occasion ^,^ but mostly i was talking about my weird affection for the full-on historical, that i didn't bother to mention- Advisors Alliance, Three Kingdoms etc. I've yet to see anyone start a popular fan club over those ;)

There's just nothing better to me than a strong female lead. I love that she exemplifies this and she's on my mental 'actresses to keep an eye out for' list. Looking forward to her future projects!

One of the things I absolutely love about cdramas that keeps me coming back is the diversity. I'm a HUGE fan of historical dramas- actual historically based ones as well as high fantasy (wuxia/xianxia). But my personal favorite is when they take real historical times, events and/or people and give them a richly textured fictional story such as Ming Lan, Yanxi Palace, Empresses in the Palace, Hao Lan, Scarlet Heart and Empress of China. Not only do they have interesting complex tales but the mfl is strong and brilliant in every one.
I know I'm atypical from the average viewer but I had to put it out there. Most of the time I really need something to keep my mind going instead of watching something and feeling my brain cells slowly die.
Please don't hate on me. It's just meant as a different pov.

Hey, thanks! I was looking for something new to try. Here's hoping the mfl isn't a total flake at times, that's my biggest peeve with comedies. Loving the love for tdramas! And ty as well for telling us where to find it

I’ve finished reading the novel. Do they have the second book? Cause HZX hasn’t solve her family’s murder…
If there's a sequel, and I don't think that there is, it hasn't been translated into English yet. Frustrating for me too, I've been searching for it.

Eternal Love of Dream gets soooo much better as it goes on..... which I will have to be honest, shocked the heck out of me. I wasn't expecting to like it that much. And the infidelity is not a thing, don't worry <3 Off the top of my head I can't think of any drama I've watched where the ML characters actually cheat, cuz srsly, who wants to root for a cheating cheater who cheats? ^.^ not me
I couldn't finish Pinocchio myself. Probably cuz by the time I did I'd seen every plot device they were using too many times and it was boring the hell out of me.
DotS was kinda worth it. I haven't finished Forest yet either, and I'm ashamed, so much eye candy there. But it was still airing when I started it so I have an excuse.
Look at all your comments, MDL is the best isn't it?! So many enablers \o/ roflmao

I can't get myself to finish Hwarang. Eye-candy cast or not..that storyline makes me want to yeet myself off the…
oh the feeling of wanting to yeet yourself off the balcony XD pretty sure that was my review exactly for goodbye my princess.

Totally agreed with you on this show, on pretty much everything, cept Gu Jian, who was just too tragic for me. I felt sympathy towards him all the way to the end- he was stuck watching the train wreck as much as I was lol

I read this novel before I even knew there would be an adaptation. I'm excited, because the novel was really good and it'll be fun to see Yang Zi in a role where she's smart and not cold or vapid. I'm also a little scared, cuz it's part of a series and I really don't want to risk a cliffhanger with no resolution again. I'm still brokenhearted I didn't get an ending for Princess Agents and it's been years!

Nope, I'm definitely not into starry eyed romance, actually I don't even care about romance in dramas that much…
I hope I didn't offend, and of course I don't know either of you at all. I'm just going by what was offered through your opinions in this article. Yours, in this instance, seemed to lean more towards emotions, ie the chemistry between couples and how invested you could get in the relationships. In a couple of instances even if you mentioned the plot was inconsistent or messy or disappointing, the interactions would save the day and give it a good rating. That's all I'm basing it off of, from a very distant point of view.
Being a starry eyed romantic is in no way meant to be an insult- none of these shows would even exist if the lot of us weren't, me included, to some degree <3 Cheers!
Jeana Aug 2, 2020
I personally love shows that go controversial. It means people out there feel strongly about it. I mean, we're here to alleviate boredom, not exacerbate it, amirite? That being said, I found myself oddly somewhere between the two of ya'll, for the handful that I've seen. Where Jeana seems to be more drawn to twisty plots and adventure, it looks like Minarii is more drawn to the starry eyed romance.... which makes for a perfect tag team debate that you can keep going indefinitely, since there's so often a polarization between the two in asian dramas.
I'd be interested to know what shows you two agree on :) Maybe that can be your next article. Good fun, gals, thanks for starting my morning <3
Also, I haven't seen this kind of trolling in the comments since I took a hiatus from gaming. Aieesh.

Actually, I'm very new to cdramas and I'm still exploring. I know there are really good ones but there are really…
Oh, there are some truly, deeply terrible ones, that's for sure ^.^ Sometimes there are even ones where they start out with amazing writers, and for reasons unknown, switch halfway through. I didn't even know that was a thing before I read it in the comments on Legend of Fuyao, Makes sense as to why they occasionally seem like they went through a lobotomy though. If you need any recommendations, feel free to ask, I've seen so, so many at this point! :)

Sadly, this isn't leo luo's first role, he was the sml in ashes of love. ( which was much better imo) He deserved so much more. Don't let this ruin you towards cdramas, there are a lot of good ones out there lol
On Yoo Ah In Jul 29, 2020
Person Yoo Ah In
This man is the Gary Oldman of Korean cinema. He is a chameleon who can not only play any role he is cast into, but give it a soul and life exponentially more powerful than mere words in a script.
Sometimes you have actors that play a role, and are good at it, or not. Sometimes you have ones that synergize really well with a particular archetype, or force their own personality into it and make it their own. But then there is a special, very rare breed that can take a role and in every sense become that person. Every movement, every microexpression, immerses you so deeply into their character that you forget that it isn’t real. This is how it ought to be done, and raises the bar for what cinema could and should be today.
