We should watch it as just a nice drama, and consider him as a Guest. Better a guest than a secondary role.I do…
Didn't knew that watching many dramas makes you become an instant expert in dramas. I might reconsider a change of profession then... ahah! You might be surprised of the age of some of us in here... but anyhow, since when being born in the 80's or 70's or 60's makes you become a sudden sage? Actors might have had late breakthrough, there have been cases and not only one. But i was not speaking about the past, I was speaking about the present, with all the requirements that today's China's entertainment industry requires to an actor or a singer to become a star. Point me to someone that had a break through... There are few to none. You gave me example Zu Yilong. Sorry to burst your bubble but Zu Yilong graduated on Beijing Academy with bachelor in acting performance. He debuted quite long time ago when there weren't so many idols around like today. Since 10+ years ago the number of actors-idols has triplicated. He was not an instant bloomer, he had the same normal route as any other actor, unlike Xiao Zhan who graduated in Art and Design, never studied acting and debuted at 25 as Singer. Also as side note, if the respective Lilly felt need to reply to me, she would have done it in person not through an alt or a "forum lawyer"... LOL. I have no idea why people get butthurt over my posts. Is quite hilarious.
It's also funny how the makers of the drama are using the fame of the man you don't know to promote for this drama.…
I'm sorry, if you gonna contradict then do it on solid basis. The drama wrapped up filming in 2017, so no is not one year old as you say. Check their official weibo for it, is that simple. https://www.weibo.com/6356014463/FmmVrioy0?filter=hot&root_comment_id=0&type=comment#_rnd1575017219696 This drama is sitting in the closet for the same amount of time like The Wolf. The drama had serious issues being broadcast because collided with more points on the China's ban list, a couple of those being time travel theme and Qing Dynasty arguments that collides with the Republic's anniversary. As I said before, if they pushed it out was thanks to the fact that Tencent TV acquired rights to air all XZ past and future works and wants to milk everything they can from his fame.
I love Xiao Zhan also but I hope people didn't come to watch this just because of him. So far this drama is sooo…
I'm ok with everything you said but one thing i need to point out: I watched up to episode 6 with subs, and in spite the fact that i do like this drama so far, sorry but no, this is not better than The Untamed, even a bit, ever.
It's also funny how the makers of the drama are using the fame of the man you don't know to promote for this drama.…
Let's just admit that we can enjoy the drama thanks to The Untamed that brought fame to Xiao Zhan. Or else would still rot in a closet full of dust, in spite of the author and the rest of the cast. A bit of honesty doesn't hurt...
So is this about time travel or reincarnation? Just a bit confused because if it is reincarnation I don't think…
It is both a reincarnation and a time travel. The producers took a way around censorship by making his soul travel in time and reincarnate into a new born baby that keeps his 21st century memories since day 1. No nit-picking on the way they depicted this, just glad they found a way to free the drama from the dungeons.
I dont know the guy everyone is talkıng about but I can swear I saw ''Li Zi Feng'' in trailer he was shooting…
You should watch The Untamed, then you will likely know very well who Xiao Zhan is and even more likely will forget everyone else is not him... ahahah!
We should watch it as just a nice drama, and consider him as a Guest. Better a guest than a secondary role.I do…
I think you don't know much about China entertainment world, or else you would not talk like this lol... No star started their career at age 26-28, that age is already considered OLD, especially if this star has no acting school degree on his belt, seen that most of the idols now span ages between 16-22. Beginning one's career with small insignificant roles in a pool of talents like China means ending your career in-before starting it.
It's also funny how the makers of the drama are using the fame of the man you don't know to promote for this drama.…
Fact is, the fans of the other actors should be eternally grateful to Xiao Zhan for not being able to retire himself from playing that insignificant role, because the reason that this drama is seeing the light after being archived on a closet for 3 years is because Xiao Zhan has an exclusive contract with Tencent that acquired the rights to publish everything Xiao Zhan is filming. So yeah, that's the reason Yoyo TV -the same as iQIYI- is promoting the drama with XZ's only cover on their main channels and that's the main reason the drama was trending at 1 and 2 on weibo for 2 days in row. Not because of the fans of the other actors, just to be clear. Li Qin had 3 dramas on stale for years. I would say, her luck was to partner with XZ in 2 of them, plus a movie, to see any of her dramas airing. That's how rude XZ fans can be. LOL!!!
Wooo I love this drama so far! The character build up to episode 7 is great. What I love the most is the bond between brothers. They dropped the stereotype with the siblings born from different mothers in/out of wedding lock hating eachother, or the step-mother cunning on the step-child. Is refreshing to see brotherly love in a c-drama finally.
We should watch it as just a nice drama, and consider him as a Guest. Better a guest than a secondary role.I do…
He said in an interview that he tried to cancel the agreement for this role but he couldn't. Back then he was happy to accept any role was offered to him because his agency was not taking care about his career. I'm so extremely happy his life got the 360° turn and he got the fame and shine he has now. I'm gonna watch diligently every single role he plays on, no matter how small, because he is an extremely hard working person, he deserves to have people appreciate and praise his work.
