How do you know they changed the plot? There are like literally 0 spoilers about this drama, you can't get angry over a synopsis written by a random netizen on douban that could fabricate it at his will...

There is a frame in the drama where Fan Xian is watching through the ice (i think while reading his mom's letter, can't remember well the episode tho) and he is seeing the "future" frozen under the lake. That's a spoiler about how his time traveling happened.

You guys should be happy that due to the huge popularity XZ baby has gained, this drama can (eventually) see the light of the screens, otherwise would remain buried on the censor's dungeon for who god knows how other many years.
