I was on the director's Weibo today (the link you provided) and no new pictures were shown. There are still three. But…
When The Untamed was announced/premiered the drama The Longest Day in Chang'An was also airing and very successful, this didn't altered even a bit the success that TU had, not only in China but internationally. Seen that Xiao Zhan is red hot, this should be an incentive to push the drama forward. Legend of Awakening is not even by half as successful as Longest day in Chang'An was, so there shouldn't be a reason to halt the broadcast of The Wolf.
Xiao Zhan almost reminded me of Vincent Jiao my top fave, the much skinnier and way younger version. I'd yet to…
Believe me, he is the top, coming from a binge watcher of c-dramas, no other actor wears ancient clothing like he does. In every drama he acts he nails the role. An elegant raffinate prince in Oh My emperor, a mischievous boy in TU, a mysterious icy gongzi in Joy of Life, a very manly raw prince in The Wolf, I've never seen any other actor to fit so great all these ancient weird chinese wigs... on him they just look natural (and gorgeous I may add).
Justin Yuan, is that Yuan Hong? Is that his english name? I like Yuan Hong very much too, him along with Wallace…
Yes, Yuan Hong, the eternal lovable 13th prince in Scarlet heart. :) I prefer Eddie Peng to Elvis Han, although he didn't had many dramas, he's more of a movie actor.
Xiao Zhan should be at N°1 on best actor in ancient garbs from kids these days (and not only, he looks so manly in these clothes!), not even a contest. My faves though from the older generation gotta be Hu Ge and Nicky Wu, although there are some others like Justin Yuan that deserves a special mention.
I still believe will air on May 7, as hinted by the director. Even because will make more sense for the days of episodes release. If they do as they did for The Untamed, 3 episodes/week, Thu/Fri/Sat was the airing days of TU (if I remember well, i watched it live, a pain in the arse waiting...) then 7 May is next Thursday.
May 5? Is this really final?Don't Wanna get my hopes up. :((
Don't know who/why set the date for 5 May but is not certain. The only certain thing is, that it is definitely this month. Nobody knows which day though.
Does anyone know Chinese really well? I'm trying to understand why everyone on Weibo is voting to not watch this…
I would not be concerned for Xiao Zhan and his dramas/works. This is gonna be a success, believe me. He has so many fans that his song "Spotlight" has become the most downloaded paid song ever globally, which is a huge achievement for any artist from any part of the globe. His fans doesn't bother with stuff that tries to stir conflicts.
Its "almost" official!!!!! YESSSS!!! The director of the drama Cao Hua has just posted a picture saying "Dawn is upon us." with HUGE HINTS at the airing date. On the corner of the picture is written May 7, there are also 9 spaces left, to imply 9 days left! IT IS HERE! THE WOLF IS HERE!!!! MY GOD JI CHONG! "faints!" https://www.weibo.com/1271969590/IFrGgs0F4?filter=hot&root_comment_id=0&type=comment#_rnd1588077429847
As of now, Xiao Zhan broke all the records possible with his new song "Spotlight" in China, the most sold ever song in any platform, the most streamed, the artist of the year already and this in just a bit more than 24 hours after release. But he is still enduring the antis bullying who are more determined than ever to slander and create chaos, because after seeing the huge success he's having, they feel they can't really destroy him so they increased their attacks even more by slandering TV hosts associated with XZ. But if the drama will be released, the huge wave of sympathy and love towards XZ for what he is enduring that is rising right now will make this show become the biggest hit on China's TV shows history.
Xiao Zhan is positively hot again and attracts capital like crazy. Currently, everything related to his name is…
He broke the Hall of Fame Records Sales on QQMusic in only 16 hours after release without any freaking promotion. The last song to break the Hall of Fame sales took 5 months and heavy promotions!
I prefer Eddie Peng to Elvis Han, although he didn't had many dramas, he's more of a movie actor.
