No it don't because the dama has been licensed for Viki on western countries. It is censored on WeTV and iQIYI international apps atm. Maybe they will unblock at a certain point. But right now you need a VPN and the chinese apps.

OMG there is movement! CCTV Drama on weibo has just published a post with Xiao Zhan in costume garb (CCTV is supposedly the TV channel that will broadcast the drama nationwide in TV on channel 8). There is no real reason why CCTV would just drop a post randomly with Xiao Zhan unless they want to attract viewers. CCTV channel is of a huge importance in China.
Also iQIYI has pushed the drama in front in between two dramas that are actually airing at 16 PM and 20 PM respectively.
And Tencent also forwarded today XZ's message for Mother's day.
I smell announcement today, and a release for airing at 18 PM Beijing time.

I totally agree with you Janec! Looks like some of Darren fans are way too sensitive to understand that the real Xiao Zhan fans doesn't care if he is in the leading role or not, we only want to see his works broadcast in any circumstances. We also want them to be successful, so of course we will publicize them to no end, especially after the 227 incident. What they also don't understand is that we are very grateful to Darren for his beautiful friendship with baby Zhan, because we know he helped ZX a lot in his career and they care very much for eachother. And the truth is that if this drama is seeing the light right now, after all the problems with the censors it had for the past 3 years, is also thanks to XZ's huge popularity, that the broadcasters wants to milk, and they shouldn't feel butt-hurt over that, is just a sad but crude truth. I would feel happy if was the other way around and Darren would create publicity in order to give space to my idol to have more works released and see the light of the screen. People is just narrow-minded.

From the novel, which is based on the tv show's script, Darren and Zhan has almost equal screen time, which would mean they are co-main star leading. I don't get this rage of Darren's fans against Xiao Zhan's fans publicizing the drama. Isn't their right as well? They should be grateful he is popular and the drama can see the light, in my opinion.

YES! That sense of ownership and jealousy over this show and its cast, I think all of us whom became deeply addicted fans are experiencing it in a way or another. I for sure do too :)

You are kind of contradicting yourself here... On the first comment you agree that this drama is a masterpiece. Then on the second comment you say it got all the awards because of the fangirls salivating over the cute boys... I thought masterpieces gets awards because, well, masterpieces, but well... Hummm okay?... i guess... :D

Actually this tv show won every single award it could be won in China last year. And not only in China I might add.

Fun fact, I just finished few moments ago for the N-th time watching AGAIN this drama, and I still can't get over it. I came here and the first thing I saw was this article that hit me into the core. I watched for the first time The Untamed while was airing on WeTV, I paid VIP membership in order to can watch the episodes in advance, that eager I was to see more of it. It has been more than 10 months since then and I'm still engulfed in it, and can't let go.
I developed a passion for Xiao Zhan, I would follow his every single move. I consider him a genius actor. I can imagine the drama without any other actor from the cast, but not without him. For me him, together with the amazing plot, was the key of the huge success this drama had and still has. Can you imagine Wei Ying with someone else's smile? Because I can't.

I've seen this info on The Wolf weibo super topic, several people said that dramas which had higher expectancy was broadcast first. It happened to Autumn Cicada.. I don't think they mean to attract fans, nobody publicized the drama in any platform.

Yes its been confirmed to air in May, as Youku published dramas that will be broadcast during the month of May which includes The Wolf. The only thing missing is the day.

The picture that the director chose to post everyone knows is from the screenplay, but also everyone doubts is a mere coincidence to have the 5/7 and the 9 slots represented for the 9 free days casually if not on purpose.
