Sina TV has released in a post the preview posters of the dramas to be broadcast in June. The Wolf is among them. But at the end of the post they wrote in a parenthesis: (ps forward is only prediction, subject to actual broadcast)... So I am gonna stop chasing this. You can check the post at the following link: https://www.weibo.com/1642592432/J40dpEBcB?filter=hot&root_comment_id=0&type=comment#_rnd1590657433761
Let's pray that it airs in june. I'm fine if it takes 2-3 months but they better not take longer than that. It's…
I just got the drama schedule for the Q3, The wolf is not in it, and would be a disaster if it was, because the other 2 Xiao Zhan's dramas (The Oath of Love and Douluo Continent) will collide which is not good, if it were to have 3 dramas of the same actor collide with eachother would be a disaster on sales department. Even having it airing in June is not sure that won't collide with Douluo Continent...
At this point is kind of official it won't be broadcast in May... (I blame Youku for their misleading post back in April where they announced it for may, and also for uploading the trailer several times on their youtube channel.) The scheduled dramas on iQIYI these days looks so crammed though... quite chaotic if you ask me. https://i.gyazo.com/c55eed46b3875b17f3758786a4137c8b.jpg
I don't know how much reliable this is, but Douban (the Chinese kind-of version of IMDB) updated the airing date of the drama to May. The only logical airing date to me would be Friday 29. I doubt would be released Saturday or Sunday. This in case the above news can be considered reliable. If not, I can see it airing on 1st June, which is Monday. https://i.gyazo.com/e5c171004a31e51bc04ff6b24c612e28.png
They changed it to June 2020 it is confirmed.. They also pushed another drama in June also in that list only kept…
I don't know where do you get your info but it doesn't look like that on either iQIYI nor Tencent websites. Love of a Lifetime is behind The Wolf on Upcoming section.
How many dramas did this actress had as a modern girl traveling into the past? And in none of them she was brilliant to come up with bright ideas to improve her life into her past life self... She never knew how to fight and she always had a thing for love triangles. I couldn't stand her since Oh! My Emperor... Looks like nothing changed on her dramas acting style since then. How pity.
told you something is definitely wrong behind this drama, this was supposedly to be exclusive to tencent first…
Honestly I'm even more puzzled by how come more platforms was able to purchase the broadcasting rights, because last year after the success of The Untamed Tencent has made an announcement that they have purchased the airing rights for all the upcoming Xiao Zhan's works. Maybe this didn't included his past-not-aired-yet works? Anyway, we can only wait and watch the unfolding...

Everything changed since XZ has become the most famous actor in China to date. The producers didn't knew until some time ago they had a hen with golden eggs into their hands, because the drama was forever in post-production due to ban issues. That was kind of their curse and their blessing in disguise at the same time. Since they invested so much time and huge sum of money into this project, of course they want to make the best profit of it, and because everything Xiao Zhan touches now become instant gold, the producers will want to extract all the benefits from such unexpected luck. Ofc they sold the rights to more platforms and not only to one as initially projected and of course all of them will not want to miss into the opportunity to cash in some gains from the eager fans that was on thirst for so many months lately. I just can't understand though, why announcing the release in May to then just keep pushing and pushing it endlessly towards June... Its true we are still in May and the airing can still happen, but man, can they stop exasperating us a tad less? We had enough of this sh*t, like seriously.
Today is a sort of Chinese Valentine day, 520 day which in chinese idioms can be read as "I love you", so it is a romantic day. I had very high expectations for the drama to be at least announced today (if not suddenly broadcast), but looking on Tencent website I am highly disappointed. Not only the drama was not announced, but on their 520 promo poster of May dramas to binge, they advertise all the newest dramas even "And the winner is love" one which wasn't yet announced has the poster promoted there, only The Wolf is missing on their May calendar. What a huge bummer. Is this meaning they will (again) postpone it? I'm soooo freaking tired of this cat/mouse game. Geeze! -_- https://i.gyazo.com/b435f60b8f45d41d1858c0604213c546.jpg
If the drama will be aired on CCTV, shouldn't they tell us the airing date ahead of time? I can understand if…
You are perfectly right. I would add that unlike few weeks ago when everyone was keeping silent, many artists have started to express their opinion and many are defending Xiao Zhan by taking attitude, which is a huge step. Also Weibo has banned a lot of antis accounts so they don't dare to make much fuss in there anymore, although outside weibo is still quite messy, especially on website such as Douban (similar to MDL) where is really like a cove of snakes.

That's what they got in prime time? Gezzeee... I was reading some weibo posts now, some fans in super topics are saying that Xiao Zhan flew today in Beijing. Might be for the release day? (hopefully!)

Strange enough I don't find the drama on Youku upcoming section. It is anyway available for spot reservation.
Its really a matter of a few days. End of May or beginning of June, doesn't matter anymore after waiting for 3 years.
