So the fact that Xiao Zhan "MIGHT(?!?)" be cast on this drama can have a tiny bit of ground to it, as his manager is a shareholder of the studios where the drama will be produced. Usually those studio/producers tend to cast their own artists in big titles.
But Yibo has really nothing to see with this. YiZhan shippers should take a chill pill, they are causing only harm.

Xiao Zhan is back to some sort of normality at last. He's been active on the past few days, he even post on weibo a selfie, which is an extraordinary event for the fans, as it wasn't happening since 109 days ago. And with his comeback his popularity has reached new heights, whatever he publishes becomes an instant top trend, doesn't matter if is something of importance or not. For example today he published his first video on his new douyin (chinese tik-tok) account, it was just a how-to summer drink and in a matter of minutes he was trending at nr.1 hot search and hot plays. Crazy!
He also is dominating the pop charts with his latest single "Light" which was crowned for the 8th week in row as Global Chinese Pop Music Chart Champion. He is literally crushing any other actor/star in all the tops, charts, rankings etc.
They should be crazy to not capitalize on such opportunity and broadcast his dramas asap. I mean, if any of his drama was not already scheduled, they should push it forward, seen the craziness of the people atm to have him back on track. "The Wolf" producer should really push for a date one of these days if she wants to catch the golden hen with the golden eggs.
These are just my personal considerations tho.

I don't know if is the same case though... The Oath of Love is been the most read novel that fans was waiting for the adaptation for a long time, and The Wolf has gathered a lot of attention due to his original script that doesn't come from a novel. Ad to that the huge popularity that XZ gained after the Untamed last year and was already granted that everything he would touch would be a golden card in anyone's hands, but since the anti's incident he gained even more popularity if that was even possible, and because he was missing from the entertainment screens for so many months the fans are thirsty to see him. I don't know if the broadcasters would want to waste the occasion on capitalize on such wildcard and put all their eggs in one single basket from start. That's why I think The Wolf is not gonna come if TOoL is gonna air any time soon...
Only my 2 cents tho. With chinese entertainment you can never guess.

I don't know why I think is not gonna air this month... Even The Oath of Love has already entered the queue on the Upcoming list, as it is planned to premiere in July. I don't think they would want them having collide. Iono what to think.

I started to watch the anime (donghua) and let me tell you, its a masterpiece! I am literally freaking ADDICTED! I'm on episode 50 and already starting to fear the end even though there are more than 50+ ep waiting for me. Cannot wait to see Xiao Zhan on this role, every single scene with Tang San looks tailor made for him. I'm curious how will they put on him some of the special effect from the anime. I'm already screaming inside only thinking at those scenes waaaahhhh! I highly recommend everyone to watch the anime while waiting for the live action drama. Is totally worth it.

Word of advice: Stay alert. Tencent, iQIYI, Youku none of them have any drama in the upcoming list until 15 June. It might drop suddenly on the next few days, they might not even announce it.

It happened to The Untamed last year, it proved to be a smart move. They want to replicate that.

I really wanted to give a chance to this drama, i promise i wanted, but in the end I gave up. I dropped at episode 24. There are so many reasons for which I dropped it that it doesn't even worth mention. Nothing saved it for me. Not even Johnny. From the eternal red lipstick on Dilraba even when she sleeps, to the eternal same ringtone on same phones with same cover on ALL the cast, to the eternal plot with copyright stolen works (once wasn't enough in the same drama?...), to the eternal banter on marriage on all the couples, even those that are not even a real couple, to the annoying mother that bullies husband, daughter, future son-in-law, to the more annoying bbf, I could go on and on and on, there's nothing worthy to watch in this show if you love your mental health. Seriously there are much better dramas to watch out there instead losing time on this trainwreck.
I'm sorry if I might hurt people's feelings with my post, but this is how I feel and this is my opinion in regard.

Ah, forgot to mention, the set where The Wolf was shot is in Shangri-La where there is this blue sky and clouds reflecting on the lake's water. Maybe that's why people matches the things?...

I also will watch this drama not only because of XZ but I like both Talu and Li Qin, and also because this looks so much more original and intriguing than most of the dramas released recently. Can't wait!

I agree, I can see better his drawing connected with Douluo than with The Wolf, but on the super topic people went literally nuts with the matching of the drawing and the Wolf release... I still must understand why lol...
Douluo Continent though is more close, if you look at the posters and the plot there is really a connection with the blue sky and clouds there.
But wait and see he will update us on a totally new and unthinkable stuff that perhaps has nothing to do with any of his dramas :D

Today Xiao Zhan has updated his Oasis and Weibo pages after quite a long absence. As usual his messages are cryptic, his post contains a blue sky with clouds on which he painted a sky whale and the caption "Blue sky and white clouds, what do you see?" His studio is also challenging people to answer to the riddle.
Last time when he released his new song Light he posted one day before a drawing with a boy and shooting stars, reference to the lyrics of the song. Same happened when he released a previous song, Ode to Red Plum blossom, he posted a day before a drawing with a plum blossom branch. Today everyone on his super topics are making speculations about what is he about to announce, its getting quite hilarious at times :))
The most speculations are on The Wolf thread, even tho he drew a sky whale, people expecting him to announce the drama LOL!... I believe is more believable if Douluo Continent has something to do with it.
