Everyone has their own opinion and that opinion can be different from the majority and I respect it. - If you…
I agree with your comment regarding the couple, but allow me to not agree with the last point. People should not search for trailers in order to be convinced that they want to watch a drama or not. Usually I won't watch teasers and trailers except for the one that announces the show, because I don't want to have spoilers. Chinese publishers are known for pushing too many spoilers into their trailers, teasers, intro's and endings, etc. One should enjoy the drama at the pace it was made, eventually go search for teasers if you are too much excited to wait for the next episodes, not because the main episodes lacks in a certain aspect.
For the rest I do agree, I will drop this later on if the feeling that they don't match persists. For now I decided to give it a second chance and wait on the spark to happen. Thank you for your input.

I'm at ep 18 and unfortunatelly feel the same as you. I see that many people are enjoying the drama though, so…
Thank you! You expressed in words how I feel about this drama much better than me. This is exactly what I am feeling while watching them interacting. As you said, they feel one dimensional characters, add to that the fact that there is little interaction between them up to episode 16-17 and the chemistry even that little bit of it is vanishing while trying to concentrate on the overall plot. I highly believe that (for me) they cast the wrong actress for this role. People complained about Yang Zi being one dimensional on Ashes of Love, but her character was written to be one dimensional there due to the lack of emotions (because of that emotionless pill). In this drama the actress kind of reminds me of Yang Zi in AoL, her attitude a bit naive and playful, even her clothes and hairdo recalled AoL in certain moments, but she was suppose to not be one dimensional, she should show high attachment when she looks at the male lead, she should pour love and sadness from her eyes, but to me her glances are empty. She does look like a deer in the headlights, but that looks kind of a forced expression on her face constantly.
Anyway I will give this drama a second chance, I am curious to see where this leads to. Usually I won't drop a drama unless is too stupid to bear, this one is not bad, is just that I was expecting more from the main cast and my disappointment didn't allow me to enjoy as everyone else seems to do.

every single drama I see there is one person who says the leads have no chemistry
If you enjoy their chemistry then good for you, it means that you enjoy the drama much more than I do atm. But there is this thing called personal preferences and opinions, for me they simply does not match as a couple. Maybe on later episodes I might change my mind, but so far they just don't click. You should respect other people's opinions, whether you like it or not.
On And the Winner Is Love Jun 4, 2020
This is usually the kind of drama that is for my taste. But i'm on ep. 12 and still don't feel like is catching my feels at all. I was wondering why then I realized there is no chemistry between the main leads at all. Actually I liked Yukee on AoL but i really don't find her suitable for this particular role. She's kinda acting like a second female lead, I can't even explain this feeling.
I hope will get better on the upcoming episodes because even tho I'm not a big fan of Leo, I loved AoL and was eagerly waiting for him to play a similar role. So far i feel quite disappointed.

Producer Chen Yushan has updated her Instagram and for the first time after more than one year (except for the happy bday to Talu) her Weibo profile with a post that is quite ambiguous. She cites the verse of a song in which is said: "When the critical moment arrives, do not despair, is important to not give up and keep up the hope..."
You are free to interpret it however you wish. Can be that she hints to not lose hope for the airing drama this month? You judge LOL!

Sooo as I anticipated few days ago in a post below, Tencent has pushed back again the drama from their "Upcoming" list. (until yesterday it was still on the first spot)
Now "You are my Destiny" and "Love in between" are in front with already fixed date followed by "The Great Qin Empire" which I believe will have announcement one of these days. Until yesterday The great qin empire was still behind but on the list of June dramas that Tencent has published a couple days ago is at the end of the list together with Horizon Towers. So I am really afraid that they won't publish it this month, or if they do it will be around 28-29. Which is really bad for XZ fans, on July there's another drama of his expecting to be broadcast. They gonna overlap them...

Is The Wolf based off of a novel? If it is, does anyone know where I can read it? I'm tired of waiting. Might…
Contrary of how all the other dramas were made, this is based on an original script, which made this drama so unique, that's why everybody is looking so much forward to it. But yes, there is a novel, and is based after the drama script. It came out in February this year. Not many people read it even in China because they are afraid it will ruin the drama expectation for them, after waiting for so long.
I'm still trying to find the Chinese version of it myself, because I tried to purchase it from the shop they put it on sale and couldn't buy because they don't ship to my country. I highly doubt there is a translated version yet.

The latest announcements on the website of the "State Administration of Radio, Film and Television Republic of China" was released on March. Here's a screenshot of it. I put a red cross near to The Wolf. They were expecting licence for changing the number of episodes from 58 to 51. Since then i was reading news (and I've seen on Tencent website also) that they further went down to 48 episodes probably due to request(?), so probably they had to apply for a new airing licence for the reduced episodes. In order to receive a broadcast licence from the Radio&TV Admin the timings goes up to 60 days. Hence this long wait. The producer just announced that they just passed the second trial, so i guess they have free way for announcing the airing date.

Best written drama. I hope they dont destroy the drama by focussing on xiao zhan..he should be killed in this…
Why should they kill him? He has a huge importance on the novel... SMH.

Xu Kai and XZ are too expensive and too mainstream for that role already, the only reason they got XZ in the first…
Is not on XZ's ethics to drop a role if he engaged in it, even if is a second male lead. Who knows XZ's character, knows this very well. And they already filmed a number of episodes from S2 before they split the drama into seasons.

Yeah, most likely for obvious reasons:1. Xiao Zhan's reputation has rotted in China already. 2. The director and…
You are obviously one of XZ haters who's spiting only shit in here and who has 0 knowledge about what really happened with the AO3 website and the chaos in China but still spits nonsense anyway... First and foremost, why would the producers drop a money-maker-machine that is XZ at the moment? The cast has not been even confirmed. His latest single "Light" has sold more than 35 million copies WORLDWIDE in less than 24 hours, placing the song THIRD on the Best-selling digital singles EVER after Shape of you and Despacito setting a Guinnes world record for the most sold song ever in history in such a short time.
AO3 website didn't shut down because the fans of XZ complained, that was a pure and mere coincidence, it was just a freaking server failure and China had in plan to shut down the access to that website months before the incident.
No star has or ever had control over their fan-base, and no star on any country command over what their fans should or should not do or say, as they are not the fan's father or mother or boss. You are just full of sh*t like all the other d*k heads antis that hates on an innocent person without a valid reason. You should take your hate and go spit it elsewhere, you are not welcome in here.

So in short it might not come out in june
I started to be a fan of XZ after the drama Oh My Emperor (bad 2nd lead syndrome ugh!) so I found this drama long time ago and then It started my long wait. But I became a die-hard fan after his role in The Untamed, I started to learn serious Chinese, I created a facebook fan page in November last year (more than 20k followers atm), I created several accounts on Weibo, WeChat etc only because of him :D
So yeah, any drama that has his name in it be sure you will see me as a stalker there LOL!

So in short it might not come out in june
I really have no idea at this point... Based on what the producer said few days ago, it should be in June, also there was an official post at the end of May that announced all the dramas to be aired in June and The Wolf was in there. Might be will be they will just broadcast without any previous announcement or publicity.

All of these "The Wolf" approaches are marketing to attract viewers. You go to their sites several times a day…
But they announced it for June in an official post tho, and the producer Chen Yushan also said in a post that the drama comes in June. Then why is it not on Tencent's schedule?
BTW don't worry for my health, I'm a XZ fan hence quite used with the stressful situations and long schedules awaits LOLS! Is just that is hella annoying how they play with the viewers and fans.

I have no freaking idea what's going on seriously. Although on Tencent Upcoming dramas list The Wolf Is still first, I doubt will still stay there for long, because they just published their June schedule and The Wolf is not in it. I mean ARE THEY EVEN SERIOUS NOW?
So the situation atm looks kinda like this:
On iQIYI until 2 days ago the poster of the drama on the "Coming Soon" was in front, but now got bushed back at the end of the row exactly like last month.
https://i.gyazo.com/03fa34ee7108143380db76826ac07197.jpg

On Tencent on the "Upcoming" is still first in row
https://i.gyazo.com/cdc90a6bc40cfabd8dc70d445470a501.jpg
But if you open the VIP section at the "COMING SOON" section, the drama got pushed back so much that to me looks like fall out from June schedule, and other dramas got placed in front of it since last week.
https://i.gyazo.com/64835a23a46b077ebf969756106a1255.jpg

Also Tencent published their June schedule and The Wolf is nowhere to be seen. The dramas The Great Qin Empire and Horizon Towers are on the list, and if you look on the "Upcoming" they are now behind The Wolf, which means they gonna get pushed in front pretty soon. Also new dramas has been added to the schedule... I am bummed... WTF!
https://i.gyazo.com/1262d1c70fe109a1df12e597b4c90f5f.png

Our only hope is they will drop it like suddenly and without any announcement, otherwise I can't explain why pushing it in top of Upcoming lists for all these months for nothing, and pushing it on the front pages of the Smart TV's? Gah!

Ya know, right now I'm not even worried anymore whether it will air, it will (probably XD) sometime soon - what…
Here you can see one of these "sensitive" shots that is not even bloody but might rub the audience in a wrong way, and this probably is not even cut out from the drama. This was filmed by professional stuntmen with trained horses, imagine the bloody shots, they must be really gore to being cut out.
