You would be surprised to know that was little to no green screens in this drama, the entire show was shot on the plains of Shangri-La, the entire cast had hard problems filming, for example Darren needed to have an oxygen bottle with him to help him breathe while Xiao Zhan got a bad eye allergy to sun rays that he hardly could keep in check in order to get the shootings done. You should check some BTS video's, the photography in this drama is quite unique.
