The drama has been filmed between April - November 2017 and was set to be aired in 2018. People loves to exaggerate things and make the drama look older than it actually is. Darren might have been the stronger actor back in 2017, but that was over since the Untamed aired. Now the traffic is brought in proportion of 55% by Xiao Zhan, 20% Darren Wang, 20% Li Qin, 5% the rest, according to official stats and data.

As I said, it "finished" airing for the China VIP members, not for regular members and not for the International fans that are using International platforms which have scheduled airing episodes. I uploaded 2 pictures with the scheduled airing time for the episodes. One is from the official TV Series Weibo, one is from Xiao Zhan Studio official Weibo. Why would they bother to make a schedule for the airing dates, if the airing ended? The series is still on going for the non vip members and for the rest of the world. It should be featured based on the official schedule released by the official producer.

Well, the scene I saw wasn't very pleasant to watch. He pined her onto the bed, forced himself above her and forced a kiss, then tried to take off her clothes. That's abuse and I can't ship someone who forces himself into a girl even if is for a so called "good" purpose, if there is one.

For some reason MDL fails to feature any Xiao Zhan's dramas on the front page. They failed to feature Douluo Continent when the new trailer was out, they failed also with The Oath of Love, and they failed now with The Wolf. Although the drama has all the episodes released in China, they are still released by a schedule internationally and for the non-vip users, so I don't see why is not featured in "Starting This week" and neither on Currently Airing, and I can bet you won't see it on "trending" either, even if is one of the most discussed at the moment. The mod responsible with the front page must have a bad tooth against Xiao Zhan for some reason, who knows... Mistery!

Well, The Wolf it had been initially announced to be broadcast on National TV. And because they are more strict with the rules of the censorship, this drama has been through more rigid rules. Webcast dramas censor board are more permissive when it comes to censoring stuff, but not the CCTV and other national live TV channels. So they had to comply and make it 13+ Teens friendly. because this was a fantasy, Darren Wang's role was very bloody as stated by himself, and they had to cut all that part. Later when everything was ready, the XZ's story with the cyber bullying made the drama to be put on hold for fear of not being attacked as happened with the other shows where he appeared this year, that got heavily abused and boycotted after the airing. They had to calculate well the timing when and where to broadcast, so in the end they ditched the TV and decided for a multi-cast web with a sudden drop of all 49 episodes to avoid the boycotters and eventual leakage of illegal episodes. I hope this explains a part of the issues this drama faced. BTW another thing: only because you don't hear about issues on other dramas, doesn't mean they doesn't have them. Might be that these dramas are not popular enough to have leakage info.

Even with the subtitles you won't get over the dislike for Wolfie. At least I didn't, which is a bummer because I like Darren as actor. But they did him wrong with this role IMO. The fact that he mistreated the FL and almost "raped" her made me despise him and almost hate the FL for her unconditional love for him. I was happy when she married Ji Chong and clinged into him at the point to force Ji Chong to push her away. I am happy with the ending, at least our boy got his happy ending. :D
