Zhai Xiao Wen for now might not shout Xie Lian but I'm pretty sure he will pull it off with more guidance and the make up. The directors knew why they picked him. There must've been something more appealing about him as XL than others that we don't know of.

Also as for Zhang ling He he really is the best pick of Hua Cheng. The novel just described how Hua Cheng looked like and left us to imagine how stunning he is. However ZLH really screams HC. People should go watch the guy act and stop judging him. He was tailored for the role HC. He is tall, handsome with sharp features and his voice OMG what else do people want?
