The more I see the behind the scene Pictures the more heartache I get. Please air it already

I've never thought of rereading the novel since by the time I was reading it the cast had been confirmed and filming was almost over. When I was done I was full of expectations thinking I won't need to wait for long till it airs since the story is straight forward n with little danmei scenes. I guess I need to reread because the wait is soooo long

This is true. I think the cast is close to accurate. I remember in the extra chapters of TGCF when Xie Lian lost his memories he never doubted himself being 17 because he still retained his youthful baby looks. While on the other hand Hua Cheng went through alot and that's why he seemed older. As for me, I'm sure the cast will do a major good job. The novel was good, donghua good hopefully drama good also.

I hate to think of this but I guess we should come back for hopeful news after the airing of Ancient Love Poetry. Just realized it's another huge budget tencent drama and so tencent will let it air without being hindered. I guess probably news for this should be expected from August

He will. give him a chance. he is no idol but actor. I trust his acting he will indeed do Hua Cheng some justice. You should watch him in Maiden holmes...it was his first acting and lead role but pulled it out like a versatile actor.

The audition took more than 5 months and had more than 800 actor goers definitely was packed with all those baby faced, idols, matured actors. Beginners etc. None of the rumoured actors here was in my initial actors I thought would pull these roles. Initiallly I thought Xu kai orSong wei long would make a better Hua Cheng and Song ji yang or Lu Han or Neo Hou and Ding Cheng Xin would make a better Xie Lian. But guys in an audition of more than 800+ actors I don't think the director such as Chan ka lam who has a good reputation and has seen the fruitful Untamed soar to the skies will choose a cast out of impulse or maybe because they are baby-faced and Idols. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yi Bo were also intially in a similar category ( Idols, immatured actors with lass acting experience, baby faced etc.) But they did a great job because the director choose and trusted in them. I'm sure some supporting cast might be added without enough auditions but I believe at least the main cast waa carefully chosen. I want to trust Chan Ka lam really chose the best and the best out of the best. As for the rumored Hua Cheng in my opinion he is very okay and fit for the character from his disposition and height. I don't where he looks like a baby face or like an idol but either way in my opinion we should give them a chance first.

I think Hua Cheng indeed had an older disposition than Xie Lian after he died and became ghost king but he was still younger than Xie Lian and also Hua Cheng was San Lang who practically was baby faced looking very young. Also the Hong Hong (Hua Cheng) during the story of the fall of the Xian le kingdom he was young. If the same actor will play all these people then it's better to cast an actor who ain't too baby faced but has a baby face at the same time. Whether baby faced or not I guess we should give them a chance first. I heard that's what people said about Yibo casted as Lan Zhan that he was looking too young for the role but he did a great job.

Instead of when will it air I guess I should start asking for the trailer since that will signal the air-date

It's refreshing to have someone with similar experience. This story of anxiety is worthy to narrate for my grandchildren in 50 years time.

Me too. My biggest regrets is reading all these novels before a confirmed air date. I feel the people who had to wait on the cast of MDZS cause as for me I discovered the untamed then read the novel. It was refreshing. Since the anxiety is like this I will hold back reading HYX until an air date is confirmed.

This is another headache for sure. They should just air it already. TGCF is giving anxiety for a cast this is giving stress for its airing date. C'mon

I came here to say this man needs main roles. I just became a fan after Miss is Dragon. At first I wasn't sure but this guy is indeed versatile in his acting. He has made to my must watch all his dramas list

I'm quite tired of this upload and take down game. Tired of hearing of rumours rumours can't they just announce the cast already? I regret reading HOBs/TGCF before the cast being uploaded. I envy those who will come across the series in the future without knowing the anxiety of just waiting for a cast.

Where there is smoke there is fire. I don't know about the rest of the cast but ZLH has been featured multiple times compared to other rumoured actors. So I believe partially he must've gotten the role. Just hoping it's really true.
