I wish they'd just sell the rights to make this show or any Chinese BL to a company in Taiwan/Thailand/Hong Kong…
It would be a good idea but I guess the setting would cost them alot. In China they have the historical setting and I guess that reduces the budget in special effects and CGI. Also a country like Thailand they don't have a history like that of china especially in their costumes so it will be expensive for them to create all that as in the costumes in HOB are from ancient China. For Taiwan I've never seen their historical dramas so I'm not quite sure about it but if given modern BLs from Chinese authors I guess they'll do a great job. At least costumes and history of Korea almost have some similarities with China but they won't be the best option given their current hate relationship with China and also the biggest fandom of HOB is in China they won't allow it. They will prefer it butchered in their country.
This is my number one novel and I know the story that is driven by a love of 800 years will be butchered to its adams so as to fit the censorship. However modern day BLs can be given to Thailand, Taiwan or Hong Kong; China should try not to bother even butchering those.
When is he gonna get a genuine lead rolw apart from Bloody Romance because I really loved him there. In YinYang Master OMG...can he please go audition for Yan wushi in Thousand Autumns..
For youu HOOMANS, dont listen to hate comments. Give this drama a shot. You wont regret. Trust me! | Thank you…
Quite a refreshing comment. I never understand people who hate on a drama without giving it a chance. In the beginning I too thought this will have a typical storyline but I later found out that this storyline is quite matured. Infact very matured. I really liked it and sad it had to end. People are complaining about the storyline of Li Cheng turning gay from being a straight fellow in the process of courting a girl. If people complain then who'll tell the stories of people living in a closet like Li Cheng and know nothing about it?
Everyone has the right to pursue their happiness. Nice story and direction. It shows that life ain't rosy but has alot of rocks and feels good to be with someone who can walk with you in that rocky path.
The novel is very good. It has a heavy political setting however one of the best novels I've ever read. The danmei scenes are not many since the relationship starts from the point of view of adopted father and son. What keeps you on board is how Chang Geng fights the feelings he has for his adopted father but later on when they get together it becomes so beautiful; they pamper each other alot. Give it a try I swear you won't notice the danmei scenes are countable.
I have a feeling they are going to cast a female actor for that role and let her cross dress as a man....rather…
The three ghosts (Hua Cheng, Black water n Qi Rong)are among my favorite characters in HOB. Then in the heavens I like Xie Lian, Shi QingXuan and General Pei. I'm so waiting for the cast.
Me in the first 25 episodes: Hao Du, you are hot. I know you won't kill her, cause she is the main character,…
In the first episodes I was really frustrated withe the way he kept on pursuing ChangGe despite seeing her struggles. I like good looking serious like his but he was quite frustrating but nowwww....I only see HAO DU. I like him. I had to go follow him in weibo. Very great guy and actor
Me in the first twenty five episodes: HAO DU needs to die, he is frustrating, so fed up with him and practically fast forward him.
Me right now: Hao Du is the sweetest person, he is the apple of my eyes in the drama and I'm practically repeating his parts. Liu yu ning has made it to my 2021 best actors.
It is really one of the novels I liked. I never like heavily political invested dramas but this one is on another…
Thousand Autumns is just a new donghua I discovered though I by passed the novel quite a few times. After watching the donghua I went to read the novel and it has ultimately made to my best novels. I hope you will like these : Those years in quest of honour mine; liu yao: revitalization of fu yao sect; Wife is first; Dinghai fusheng records; Tian bao fu yao lu; lord seventh....etc. for now
I havent read the novel but heard that it's one of Priest's best and heard great reviews about the ML Guyun. But…
It is really one of the novels I liked. I never like heavily political invested dramas but this one is on another different level. So straightforward with a great story without a moment of boredom. If you read novels then don't forget on this one. Very beautiful. TJC and CZY even make it more beautiful as the main pair. I believe the drama will do the novel justice and live up to Priest's iconic name.
This is one of that rare dramas where you almost forget following up the story and just listen to the OSTs. Songs are very beautiful. There is a song that reminds of a certain OST I heard from a korean drama. Kuddos to the whole drama. Nice cinematography, ost, directing and acting. I'm ashamed I almost took to heart some of the comments and gave up such a beautiful drama. It is common in storyline but I love it.
I'm glad in episode 9 they spoke about pain after sex.. Most BL series couples wake up next morning as if last night was just a simple trip to Havana and you wonder if it ain't painful. Because as for me just constipation makes me wanna break walls so I've been wondering if its dat simple
Practically the lead is absent almost thoughout the drama and I'm still wondering if he's still the lead. I like TJC but his character as Prince Zhou gets to my nerves and is quite irritating. He seems more like the lead than Xu kai.

I just keep on replaying his parts with Le yan.
Me also: where is Xu kai?
