I don't know if you've been paying attention, but in the holding room, there were several maid outfits. I think it's a shame that So-Jin was not in maid's clothing, on top of that. :-D

The scriptwriter Kim Soon Ok has a very great experience. She has written many very long dramas (many episodes). And often dramas that have crazy ratings. She also caused some scandals, like with her drama "Temptation of wife". The Korean government almost imposed stricter censorship rules. But finally it did not do anything because the ratings of this drama were too high. People love this kind of immoral story. Compared to other authors who wrote daily makjang dramas, Kim Soon Ok's dramas have a strong structure. It's not written on the fly. Besides, weekly makjang dramas also have a structure.
For a long time, there has been a sense of irony in Kim Soon Ok's dramas, and dark humor. But since Last Empress, she has reached a new stage in the delirium, sometimes producing self-parodying scenes or plots of her own style. And the pace of her dramas has accelerated. Penthouse is very fast-paced.

Maybe because they want to air it more sooner. So, it won't be preproduced and episodes shot during broadcast.

Watch Parasite after Penthouse, and you fall asleep during the first 5 minutes. :-)

You can do that in a makjang, even more a "crack makjang".
It's part of the fun, and the self parody genre.

For me, main thing that make just a little bit flat is the return of dead people. I have difficulty to follow Yoon-Hee too. She act sometimes, like if she know her daugther is alive.

Now I prefer not read fan theory, and even don't think about the drama, so I can be surprised. :-)
I'm watching Sisyphus too, but here, writers are two steps ahead of audience. Even when you think hard about the drama, you can't decypher all the mysteries.

It could become a drama about zombies in a flash now.

I hope they will increase S3 number of episodes before to start. And also I hope Kim Soon Ok won't stop to write drama, contrary as what she said in a interview.

But what happened to the real Ae Gyo ?
And Dan Tae is supposed to have killed Su Ryeon, how is she alive now ?

Damn yeah. I think I will watch soon another drama from Kim Soon Ok to compensate.

One of my favorite male actor since a long time.
I prefer far this kind of actor than younger ones we get as "male lead".
I was worried when I had learn that actor Shin Sung Rok wouldnt be in the drama (another very good actor), but then I was happy when I had learn we get Uhm Ki Joon instead.

If you haven't already, I advise you to watch the Special episodes. The actress Kim So Yeon is much more beautiful physically in natural than her character in the drama. Also, among all the actors in the drama, she is the most gentle and reserved person. She smiles a little and talks without ever raising her voice. Seeing her like this, it's impossible to imagine that she could produce a character as crazy as So-Jin.

Really ? Everybody guessed that since a long time. :-)
