Anyway, it's what will happens. People don't watch dramas when there is so big mistakes like this and see there is a actor change. I don't speak about watchers now, but people looking at the drama in the future, after broadcast.
For me, the drama was a potential masterpiece, because the scriptwriter wrote "Road Number One". Anyone who watched this drama know what I was expecting.

Korean still watch massively. 4% or 5% on JTBC is very good rating.
Add to that, Sisyphus is n°1 on korean netflix. ;-)

Exactly, never seen before sets and very high number of differents sets. Movie quality.

If I start to think to much about this drama and listen theories, It's like I get SPOILERS.
I just want Penthouse surprize me. ;-)

I get the idea, but this actor or another: there is an unrepairable break in the relationship between the two leads. Everything that was built and felt by the viewer at the beginning is annihilated. Just one more depressing fact...

It is a risk to take: low ratings lead to a financial loss (advertising).
On the other hand, having to redo so many scenes is also a financial loss.
I don't know which is more financially penalizing.

But for the drama, it is highly penalizing.

Of course, now some viewers are happy with the change, but this is only a temporary feeling. Just the time to watch the drama when it airs. And even so, it is possible that the interest will quickly fade away once the case is over for a few weeks. The audience will gradually disappear, and silently.

If we look at the long term, in five or ten years, the current buzz will not matter anymore, and only the cohesion of the drama will matter.
And at this level, the drama loses forever the possibility to be a masterpiece and to enter the hall of fame. A shaky drama, with actor changes, excessive cuts over two episodes, maybe more. And possibly a replacement actor much worse than the original one, which was already not extraordinary but up to the task. And all the hard work of the production to give the best can never change anything, sadly.

The drama has lost the opportunity to be an artistic work, to be only a fragmented and temporary consumer product.

All this is so depressing that I have lost all motivation to continue watching. No matter how much I read the positive comments here, the words vaporize like ash and are blown away by a death wind. Sadness, overwhelm, bad luck, the relentlessness of fate. It's like watching one of my favorite actresses drown in the ocean, just when I thought she might finally get an outstanding drama with a great scriptwriter. The kind of solid work that I would want to watch again and again.

There, I'll just have to mourn now.

Not Tae Sul but Tae San, the brother. yes yes yes!!!! Sigma is this guy. You see, in 2001, he was young (and maybe pretty, but we don't really see is whole face).. It's why I thinked. oohhh, 2021 : atomic war, Sun come back in time. Still young in 2001, then 2020 again... pppplease we need an actor for older sun !!!! ok ok ok ok let's take a bad man.. ah ah aha ha.

Car scene was a lot of fun too. wwwha ahaha

By the way, Sigma is the very first time-traveler, 06/08/2001, subway station. If I understand your theory : old sun-sigma kill Tea Sul to help Young sun-sigma to get the girl. WOOOO. Best love triangle ever. ;-))
