Yeah I remember encountering this before but I can’t remember which drama. It was annoying being continuously bombarded with the same comments. As if anything is going to change if they did that in MDL lol

What’s up with the negative reviews? Did they really watch it? I wasn’t expecting much but it’s really good so far.

I haven’t watched any of his dramas after EY because none of them appealed to me. Sure he didn’t have hits like Lovely Runner or AoS but I don’t think he had a bad career

I wish Do Ji Han had more screen time. His character intrigued me in s1. It’s a shame. I want more of Do Ji Han and Dr K.
Unpopular opinion- Baek Beom was boring in 2. No character development. At least in s1 he had a tragic backstory. Here he was just a meticulous and genius forensic scientist, nothing else. This alone isn’t charming enough for him to be MC. Well I guess they focused more on the cases in s2, which made up for the lack of character development. I didn’t like the first half because they added many unnecessary scenes like the toxicologist moving in, which contributed nothing. I wish the focus was more on Do Ji Han rather than wasting the screen time on the cringey toxicologist.
One more thing- detectives had zero contribution in the cases here unlike s1. They only appeared in the crime scene and for arresting. Detective Su Ho’s appearance in last episode was a nice surprise. Hope they include him in s3 too.

Time to watch this drama again for season 2. Thanks to my bad memory.

THE CAST

The investigation part was the highlight. The ending and revelation fell flat

The only thing that’s more atrocious than 8 feet ghost’s costume is Bona’s acting. She was giving 😐 90% of the time. Whenever there was a scene between her and any side character, they gave more expressions than she gave the whole drama. She has that stiff expression in every drama she has appeared in so no, I refuse to give her the benefit of the doubt that her character was written like that. Heck even the girl from Single’s inferno was better than her.
Girl is so pretty but can’t act to save her life. I really want to like her but I can’t take that same straight face in every scene. Not giving her dramas any more chances in the future. There are so many talented actors out there but idols who can’t act take up lead roles and just ruin the whole experience.
I started this because the plot was right up my alley regardless of her bad acting in Joseon Attorny.
It was an okay watch though. They dragged it out in the last few episodes. I fast forwarded half of the time but I didn’t miss any major plot points.
I didn’t find the main lead’s romance interesting. I found the King and Queen’s chemistry more compelling, even though it was shown only briefly. The bromance between the king and ML was the most fun to watch.

I would be annoyed if anyone else did the same thing as Kian. I have watched Kian and Dex in India before and Kian fully immersed himself in the culture without any prejudice. So since it’s Kian I don’t think he meant it in a degrading sense. It’s a bit annoying but I’m not offended at all.

I was hesitant to start this because the last time I watched Bona in a sageuk, her acting was really bad.
She seems to have improved. I’m glad I gave this a shot. I’m enjoying this.

I was a crying mess the last few episodes. This is a masterpiece. First 10/10 drama for me.

I think it depicted life in rural Asian countries perfectly. This drama felt just like the stories my grandma used to tell me about her life.
No character was all bad/‘evil’. As the show progresses, it reveals more about what actually happened. There are lots of flashbacks. The characters are far from just black and white.

When I saw the trailer for this drama with IU in it, I knew it was going to break me. I broke down watching the wedding scene. The actors who played Gwan Sik are perfect for the role.
