All we’ve been watching is the reverse of what happened in 1988 and where they all went wrong. suspense is not…
Suspense isn’t just about dragging out the culprit reveal for as long as possible. Some of the best crime dramas reveal the culprit early on and still manages to keep us on edge because the story keeps evolving. Here it feels like the plot is relying too heavily on endless false trails instead of building meaningful suspense. I haven’t watched the latest episodes yet. Hopefully there’s some progress
The plot has been relying on misunderstandings for quite some time now . It’s getting frustrating and draggy rather than suspenseful. I had high hopes in the beginning. I hope there is some progress with the latest episodes. Wrong suspect, misunderstanding ML and each other on repeat. It feels like investigation is progressing but they are just going in circles every time.
Reflecting back - Mina Sue was painted as a villain right from the start from the way she was so indecisive. In…
No. She was a mess. Go Eun was very different from Mina Sue. It’s a dating show, they can talk to different people.
Go Eun never hurt anyone in the process. The problem with Mina Sue was never the indecisiveness. She wasn’t honest with her feelings and acted really immature. Being honest doesn’t mean being right. Let’s not act like she wasn’t problematic. I think it’s very humane and she doesn't deserve hate for it. However it’s admirable to see her brave enough to show all her emotions.
We fell hard for HeeSun slowly but surely like Subeen esp after the paradise date. At first I thought she was just a naive pretty girl. Turns out she had the most impressive qualifications and she was so humble the entire time. That steady and calm confidence at such young age is impressive. Unlike Mina Sue, she wasn’t insecure and pursued Subeen sincerely without being overbearing.
Happy for Subeen and Heesun. They look like they’re dating. Regardless, they still look close. Can’t wait to see them in the reunion.
The last 2 episodes were underwhelming. It was all about Go Eun and the boys. I wanted to see more of Subeen and…
I Geon fumbled so hard. I understand Go Eun’s decision. No matter how attracted she is towards him, he’s way too cocky and casual. She didn’t choose Sung Min because she really liked him. It’s because I Geon gave mixed signals and was too casual.
Whoever played the teen mom in ep 3-4 can act! Every time she came on screen and cried, my heart ached. Girl has the talent. I hope she gets recognised and gets more work in the future.
I’m rewatching and I’m on ep 16. I need to watch this reunion as soon as I finish the final episode because I’ll be a mess 🤧 Reply 1988 truly is one of the best shows ever.
on my profile it says i completed this drama but the truth is i dropped it at episode 17 because finishing it…
I feel you. I rewatch it almost every year and I put off watching the final episodes every time. The ssangmundong flashback in the end always makes me emotional.
What’s with the sudden hate towards Kim Hye Yoon? I don’t get why trolls are camping here. Were the actors or the drama involved in some kind of controversy?
The first two episodes disappointed me badly because I love the actress and she deserve to be the center in this…
Honestly I don’t get why the flaw in FL’s character is a put off for you. There’s obviously going to be a major character development for her. This isn’t the first time a drama has started off with a selfish MC. In fact, it is very common in kdrama. Redemption and backstory will come in the upcoming episodes. The crazy fans do have a point though. It’s just only 2eps in. What irked me the most was how casually the ML reacted when he found out FL was a Gumiho. And how he just happened to forget her. Idm light hearted dramas but this is just insulting the viewer's intelligence.
