Song Kang is a good actor too but he’s not able to pull off this kind of comedy in my demon. The plot ofc is different but the comedic side both the character are going for is similar.

Totally agree with your concerns. The mystery aspect doesn’t seem to be the main focus and they have revealed the feelings early on. I wonder how they’ll keep the plot going with the mystery part and keep the romance interesting for the remaining episodes. I hope it doesn’t fall off.

Am I the only who likes the drama for it’s absurdity? It’s not trying to be a serious healing drama which deals with real life issues. I watch this as a fun rom com kdrama mixed with a little bit of healing. I mean the fl was studying while she was running, in ER, and when her family was literally throwing things at each other. If you try to take this drama seriously, you’ll be disappointed.

Idk about other accounts but I have encountered one of the users before in many comment sections. The user have degraded kdramas they don’t like and the fans by giving the same reasoning -‘fans like anything trash as long as it’s their favorite oppa’. As if they’re the only one with a functioning brain! This isn’t their first offence. Normally, their comments are ignored because the fans are mature enough. There are super fans in this drama who are very defensive. So this has resulted into childish drama between fans and haters. It’s better to ignore that troll account. You’ll know which one I’m talking about when/if you happen to come across them again. It’s the same pattern.

Hmm fair enough. it’s your personal choice after all. I was really disappointed with Song Kang’s styling and role in this drama. I’ve seen how charismatic he is in other roles so I expected more with his role as a demon. it’s not entirely the actors fault, he has to work with how little he’s given. The character itself seemed to revolve around FL most of the time so it was boring.

I used to find Park Shin Hye annoying too. I thinks it’s because of the roles she played in Hiers and doctors. Her excessive ponytail swinging in Heirs bugged me. I find her acting a bit over the top sometimes but that’s just my opinion and it didn’t justify the intense annoyance I had towards her. I stopped watching her dramas. This drama looks very promising and she’s doing really well.

I’m loving this so much! I don’t remember the last time I watched academic rivals trope. It’s fun and refreshing. Park Hyunsik is way too cute and hilarious esp while he’s being petty. Same for the side characters! ML’s senior is so dorky and cute.

girl, forget extravaganza, those were basic expensive formal outfits and no where near ‘inspiring’. The unique outfits IU wore cannot be compared to the basic formal outfits KYJ wore. They could’ve elevated the looks by playing with hairstyle, makeup & jewellery but it was the same hair, similar makeup every episode except for the wedding day. Not saying they were bad, I would totally wear them but seriously, is really worth the hybe you’re giving? I don’t see anyone raving about her outfits.

Song Kang’s styling sucked. He looked like a kid wearing Hagrid’s blazer most of time. That paired with silk blouse, I can’t take him seriously as this sexy mysterious demon. He looks amazing in all his other dramas so it’s a shame. They did him dirty.
Kim Yoo Jung is gorgeous in everything she wore ngl. However, she looks like a highschooler cosplaying as a CEO. She should’ve changed up her hair and makeup. It’s the same for every role she has taken. So it’s hard to distinguish her roles and take her seriously as a CEO when I just watched play a high schooler/college student with the same look.

Take Ahn Bo Hyun for eg- His role in Yumis cell and Flex C cop is nothing alike. Ofc his acting is the major factor but styling plays a huge part too. It’s more convincing. Imagine Woong’s (Yumis cell) hairstyle on Jin Isoo (flex C cop). it would look goofy as hell and no amount of good acting can make it look less goofy.

on ep 1&2 what is wrong with fl and the other detective? The nonchalant attitude, constant scoffing, eye rolling and rudeness after she messed up big time. at least they get to keep the job.They were given the choice to quit and take responsibility too. She should stop complaining. Also, FL didn’t feel the slightest remorse for breaking ML’s nose when she found out she assaulted an innocent citizen. ofc they’re not gonna accept him with open arms but least they can be polite to ML. FL is so unlikeable already. I like this show. I hope she gets less annoying.

True. I only want to express my opinion, discuss and hopefully find people who shares the same views. It’s fun. I was hesitant because super fans might get offended if I said anything bad and I didn’t want to deal with it then as I didn’t feel strongly for the drama.

Maybe you didn’t get me, super fans and haters alike are toxic. I’m not against recycled kdrama tbh as long as it’s enjoyable. As I said it before, I didn’t dislike it entirely. I found it average but that’s just my opinion.

Also, I agree. If you don’t like the drama, you have the right to express your opinion but continually shitting on it in the comment section is annoying. Fans have every right to defend it.

They’re more popular globally because of Hallyu wave. I do agree that some of the cdramas are sub par compared to average kdrama. I don’t watch cdramas often but every now and then the ones I watch are leagues above some of the most popular kdramas. Nowadays it’s rare to find kdramas that are as good as the cdrama ones, maybe it’s just me.

Got curious of the infamous comment section. It is toxic! I hesitated to write anything negative about this drama when it just started airing because ik crazy fans will attack me and I don’t dislike the drama enough to start any discourse.
Thanks to the haters and trolls I can finally say this- It’s the same recycled fantasy romcom kdrama. I didn’t drop it as I didn’t have anything to watch while it was airing. KYJ as a CEO isn’t convincing for me. I think her hair and make up is exactly the same as her last few roles, correct me if I’m wrong. In few scenes where she switched up her makeup she does look like her part. I didn’t like Song Kang in this role and I hated the styling. Overall, I struggled to finish this drama.
