honestly, loving this so far! the leads have chemistry and they act out the childhood friends who care about each other but also act like siblings so well!
I totally knew that her fiance cheated on her. it was obvious. but I wonder why she hid it - probably because she wants a clean cut and her parents to not be angry on her behalf. I wonder when she'll actually tell them or just Seung Hyo about it.
I'm on episode 7 and really enjoying the main couples dynamics. lol they really be acting like an old married couple. but reading the comments, I'm worried about the SML screentime. sigh
LOL as I'm watching episode 6, I'm just thinking how cool it'd be if they made Mercenary Enrollment a live action. I'd be so excited to see who they cast as the numbers.
Ugh I knew most of us called it halfway through the show that it would be a SE, but goddammit. binged the last 20 episodes on Christmas and now I'm just crying. they literally had everyone die except for like 3 people. I'm devastated.
can we get the entire crew back for a modern version that's happy? LMAO these people deserve a happy ending too.
I would've loved to see more of the romance in the happy version too. lol this version really didn't need it. but I was a bit surprised but happy about the LTG and A'Ying pairing. the mutual respect is there and in sure even if they don't LOOOOOVE each other, after all the time they spend together and their mutual love and respect for Ning and Ren, I'm sure it was a beautiful relationship. lol it seems like LTG is "scared" to talk back to her anyways when she calls him out in shit so at least they have each other to remember people and share in the comforts of past experience and future joy.
overall, still a great watch but really, you left us 1 couple and I don't even know if Chu Yue is alive or dead at the end since she's seeing a kid that I don't think exists.
I feel like I'm melting into the chemistry between FL and ML. They are doing really well in the romantic comedy,…
agreed. idk why those scenes are even necessary. like these past 2 episodes have been great without it - for the most part except when they whine to him about food 🙄. let's keep it that way.
sorry not sorry, on Episode 6 and I'm so over his so-called friends. like yes. I'm sure them getting sent here for 500 years has been suuuuuch a travesty but they're really not making it easy to sympathize with them the way they're treating Sang Hyuk like a maid. yes, he made a mistake that got you sent here but that doesn't mean you treat your friend like trash. at least just clean up after yourself. like I don't know his connection with Du Shik and the Love Room owner. but at this point, it seems like it's Sang Hyuk letting them live the comfy life they have while being punished. and also, beanie/bald dude apparently doesn't even contribute to their goal to getting back home, so what's he even complaining about?
I like the lead couples slow burn. the FL lead obviously knows who she likes and so does the ML but he's hesitant because well..... it might crash and burn and end up with her dying and I think he really can't handle a 3rd person he cares/loves about dying again
I like the SML with his child competition but let's have it end there. I feel like if he gets rejected by her in later episodes and keeps pursuing, it's gonna get frustrating. I have a feeling it won't though since he's a reincarnation 🫣 something else is bound to happen
love that we get one episode of happy fluff and then it goes back to angst LOL also, the SFL annoys the ish out of me. like bro, he does NOT care for you. Best you can do is wish him the best. but you just go and out him? to someone you just met? ugh. also, her acting is not the best... sorry not sorry. her crying scene this episode was not it.
also, Noh Suk Min's action and expression during that scene was peak. really representing the devil right there. can't believe he's out here doing his own dirty work though. guess he's the, if anyone can do it right, I can. bro killed his own mom.
with so many popular names in the cast I totally forgot who's actually already acted with whom. it's like a big reunion haha
Lee Jae Wook, Go Youn Jung, Yoo In Soo, and Bae Gang Hee - Alchemy of Soul Lee Do Hyun and Ryeoun - 18 Again Lee Do Hyun and Go Youn Jung - Sweet Home S1 Lee Do Hyun and Bae Gang Hee - The Glory
and I feel like I'm definitely missing some of the other supporting actors
I'm reading the webtoon now and I'm just waiting to see if they cast Teddy, Jimmy, Gerard, Jake, and some of the other bigger characters in the books that are missing.
just finished reading the chapters on this part and I gotta say, they made Beom Suk much more gray here. in the webtoon, the guy had no Redemption and readers would not have felt bad for him. it's also interesting the characters they added and the plots a bit different. overall, they did great with highlighting the important points from the webtoon while giving it good live action story.
lol I'm not for or against the removal of the BL aspect if it works for the show. but I'm curious. if the age gap between the 50 y/o being in a teen body having a relationship with same age teen is a problem, would people prefer the 50 y/o teen date a 50 year old? LOL this is just a question in my mind now because if the gangster is stuck in this body and has to live as such for the rest of his life but we have this moral/ethics dilemma because of his mental age, are we okay with his teen body dating an older person? genuinely just curious 🤔
Hi, would you mind spoiling the story for me. I want to watch both seasons but I don't get what the plot is. Is…
Hyun Soo is a human that somehow was able to resist fully turning into a monster. So, he has monster abilities but human control so he's not killing people like the other monsters. Yes, they call it a sickness that stems from human desires. The ending of season 1 concludes with the military trying to capture Hyun Soo to study him but he is taken away by another human that is the same as Hyun Soo (so monster but he is able to control it).
The whole first season is about learning and survival. So, you can think of it like any other zombie show where the first outbreak happens and you follow of group of people that are trying to survive. In this show though, you don't get bitten to turn into a monster. It's almost random when someone turns into a monster but they show symptoms before completely turning. Hope that helps!

overall, looking forward to more!!
