Title Once Again
Honestly, i normally don't watch weekend dramas since I find them too long and not all the characters are written well, but this time, i am loving it!! I can't really say that I'm not skipping scenes but there is more than enough to keep me engaged. Love the sibling relationships, parent's relationships, and all the budding love lines and of course the reblooming love line?! ?

If you're on the app I don't think there's an episode ranking option - unless I just can't find it. So, for me…
Haha yes there's a kisskh app. Its not the best, but I find it really convenient to use it on my phone to keep track of shows.

I really like what ive seen so far and will continue to watch... but seriously how have 500 OF YOU RATED IT AFTER…
If you're on the app I don't think there's an episode ranking option - unless I just can't find it. So, for me once I start an episode of a show, I'll rate it based on current episodes released and change it as I go along if it needs adjusting. Lol sorry if I'm contributing to loss of ratings trust haha but I didn't give it a 10 if that means anything...

Same, I'm shocked that the ratings a 5. I think it deserves higher but I guess we'll see what the final rating will be after it ends.

Also, strangely, I feel like Jun and Kim Yoo Jung would make a nice pairing if this show flops. Sorry, not sorry. Still love both Yoo Jung and Chang Wook.

By episode 2, all I'm gonna say is that Choi Dae Hyun's friends gotta go. I feel like he's the biggest problem in this whole show. His character is not only controversial but adds no value to the show. I don't find his parts funny at all, just annoying. A lot of the other 'controversial' things I can overlook, but that characters got to go.

Does anyone know why she is mainly starring in Chinese dramas this year? I don't think she has ever acted in Chinese…
I don't think either of those 2020 C-dramas are recent. If I remember correctly they've been on her filmography for a while now. So its likely that they were filmed a couple years back but never aired due to the China-South Korea entertained feud/ban a few years back.

Dayum. There are some harsh critics. For a 1st episode, I thought it was fun and set the stage well for the upcoming antics that will happen between our main leads. My only qualm as many others have pointed out would be the non- consent kiss between 2 strangers and the friend. Also, this is probably my 2nd JCW show so I've not formed an opinion on whether he's great in other genres but I think he's doing fine and is quite lovable in this rom-com. Looking forward to the next episode!

How do you add or request someone to add to the cast list? It seems like the a few others should be added. It's probably too hard to add every guest, but I think Kang Hana, Lee Da Hee, Lee Sang Yeob, and Hong Jin Young should be on this cast list. They were there for quite a few episodes.

I actually really love this season. I didn't start from Season 1 when the original cast was there but from Season 2, so it was a bit different. I think by watching them from the start with a whole new cast sans Jong min, it felt like I was part of the growth and adventures from the start. And let's be real, each week they get funnier and I love hearing the crew laugh bts. Haha

Title And the Winner Is Love Spoiler
As much as I'm enjoying the show, this misunderstanding that's not a misunderstanding (because I doubt she believes SGT has anything to do with the other girl) needs to end. There's a common enemy and I hate the "hero" complex trope - I forgot what it's called when the guy gives up the girl or leaves her for a bit thinking its for her own good. 'Cause c'mon, 2 heads are better than 1. She already got targeted when she wasn't by your side, so what's the difference if she does stay by your side? At least you'll be there when she is targeted. Also, even though XZ attitude and personality developed more and she's no longer naive, I hate that they still continue the damsel in distress scenes for her. Like, please, she has the inner energy from SGT and the 2 'secret' martial arts skills, like why make her a damsel in distress? I want her to be like some of her other roles where she kicks a$$ and not be saved all the daaaaamn time.

Honestly, the pacing for this show is sad. All the info and scenes they've given us so far could've been in 15 episodes, not 30. I'm still going to keep watching since I do enjoy the acting and the plot itself is picking up, but I hope the characters develop too.

I'm really hoping for no love triangle. That trope needs to go and resurface later.

Forgot to add, I really enjoyed the bromance and wished that there was more of that and less love triangle. I think love triangles just aren't my favorite trope..

Title Ashes of Love Spoiler
Just finished and I really want to say I wish it was not 63 episodes long. I skipped so many scenes because I didn't want to drop it but at the same time I was so bored. I never really cared for the love triangle of the story either. Jinmi didn't have much chemistry with Runyu so it was obvious what the endgame was. I had just wished that he could've ended his infatuation with her sooner. I loved Runyu's character though. Calm, quiet, but deadly. Yet, all he really craved for was the comfort of another person that he loved. It's quite sad because had his mother not been killed, he may not have been as vengeful. And honestly, I felt no sadness for the death of both of Xufeng's parents. Not a bit, they deserved their end. Even when Muci told us how he saw her weep alone, I did not empathize with her. She was power hungry and all her actions did not show an ounce of compassion. And I really hated when people said Runyu was unfilial to Xufeng's mother. Just because she took him in and away from his mother - even though he willingly left, and allowed him to stay in the palace, it was not as though she treated him well. All she did was give him another house to live in. He left one dreaded place to a slightly less dreaded one, it felt. And as much as I loved the Uncle, he also was obviously biased as well - supporting one nephew over the other. I feel like people don't understand the magnitude that loneliness can have over a person. I'm not saying Runyu's actions weren't wrong, it was. He shouldn't have played chess with the people around him as pawns, but he himself was not wrong when he overthrew the throne. It clearly made sense, no one empathized with the Emperor or Empress because they clearly did many injustices. Xufeng had to bear the grunt of his parent's actions, which honestly, sorry boy... you couldn't choose your parents. I really liked the ending. They closed it well. But it was funny to me because what? 60 episodes in and all it took to end all the feuds was Jinmi's apparent death. Overall, it was an okay watch, but since I wasn't invested in any of the romance (wait, except for Muci and Liuying), I skipped through a lot of the scenes. I was more interested in how they were going to end things and if anyone was going to stay dead. Oh, on that note, I was sad when Muci and Xufeng's bodyguard/right hand man died, but that was about it. Lol

sir, can you imagine if this was a completely fleshed out 16 episode kdrama with devlopments, side stories, back…
Agreed! They set everything up so well already. The harsh family setting, the supportive friend that was an enemy, and even the girl. There's so much that could be played out for a broader and longer storyline. I've loved watching it, so sad... only 2 episodes left. And mom is definitely a fujoshi. No clue what book she was reading but ¯¯\_(ヅ)_/¯

This drama is incredibly romance focused. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of watching. I'm actually surprised how dominant it is in the plot. On another note, I'm watching Ashes of Love in between waiting for episodes and now I'm so confused about our leads' romances haha talk about trading lovers.
