Their Macau fanmeeting gets announced FIRST even before Thai fans get theirs and the poster has like 10+ sponsors on it in addition to deehuphouse/yyds 😱 I think Nonkul's popularity and the pandemic keeping him away from Chinese fans these past years make them really want to pull out all the stops in order to get some form of fanmeeting for Nonkul in China. Very grateful both Nonkul and Bright are gaining huge recognition for this series that both invested so much care, time, detail and craft to

I agree with your point that IFYLITA does seem to have higher production cost. In a discussion with a friend, they did point out that the series itself has few locations and few extras, only focusing on a fixed group of characters but it still blows my mind that there isn't a single ad/product placement within this series 😭 Like where does the mysterious funding comes from? Is Youku involved with the funding? Is that why SEA fans have to subscribe to watch Uncut so Youku can gain back the capital they contributed to this production? This shall forever be a big huge mystery to me
what's the difference between this one and the uncut version?
UNCUT is the version you should always watch. the CUT version often at 45-46 minutes per episode and they cut a LOT of scenes that gives context. UNCUT is often 1h-1h5 minutes per episode and the "cut" scenes make the series more coherent
can someone spoil me about the ayutthaya era and how it started and will go??
Commander Yai doesn't know Jom. Jom is "suspicious looking" to Commander Yai. CY thinks Jom might be a spy or a threat to his troop so Jom is captured as "prisoner" to join him and his troop. Even though he is captured, Jom still actively pursues CY in order to make Yai fall in love with him again. Jom almost gives up until CY does fall in love with him (CY is VERY tsundere). Jom and CY have a little bit of time together and CY promises to love Jom in all his future lifetimes. One day, in the middle of a sword fight where CY and his troops are fighting for their lives, Jom is pulled back to the present (2023) . When Jom dissolves into fog, CY knows he has nothing to fear for anymore, dies in front of Jom's eyes as he vanishes, knowing that Jom won't get killed.
The book ends with the reunion /first meeting of Yai Kanthorn (Yai 2023 reincarnation who hold memories of both 1927 Khun Yai and 1767 Commander Yai) with the exact dialogues as you saw in episode 12. The epilogue explains who Yai Kanthorn is and how he got the memories of Khun Yai and Commander Yai with Jom.
Crossposting my comment from the uncut version page because I saw some confusion on the special episode
The special episode is based on a NON-canon/alternative ending chapter that the author wrote. Not sure what the content of the special episode will be but I can confirm that the final kiss everyone saw at the end of Episode 12 between Jom and a man is Yai Kanthorn (Khun Yai's 2023 reincarnation, Khun Lek's grandson).
The Khun Yai at the end is the reincarnation of a descendant of Khun Lek so he comes from the modern era, his…

it is not entirely unclear but implicitly implied. It is not Khun Yai from 1927 because the man uses "Pom" instead of "Chan" like 1927 Khun Yai. Of course your feelings and critiques for the ending are completely valid. I think this post below has considerate thoughts on the matters, linking if you may be interested in reading.
I saw scenes of yaijom from the future that weren't in episode 12, WHERE IS THAT FROM GUYS HELP
It is the special episode, coming soon. It is based on the non-canon chapter that the author wrote, you can think of it like alternate universe. Trailer here https://youtu.be/chcXNknWZEw?si=yjv3eKzw-tOgcLY_
This is brilliant, straight to my top 10, but if something 2 things would made this a 10 instead of a 9.5 for…
The series (although didn't touch upon the second part of the novel when Jom time traveled to 1767), ends exactly where the book ends. It ends with the exact same scene of Jom meeting 2023 reincarnation of Khun Yai with those exact dialogues you saw, the background story about 2023 Yai is learned through extra chapters after the epilogue. But I understand your very valid critiques. I have a feeling this finale was very catered to novel reader audience in order to have all three versions of Khun Yai show up and novel readers would be able to fill out the blanks but no explicit exposition may be hard for non-reader. I'm glad you were able to enjoy this production nonetheless 🥰
I need someone to tell me the aspects of which this drama demonstrated the best. I want to know why it is different…
As someone who loves the show, I can tell you what you can keep your expectations low about: pacing, slowness of scenes people in that time talk slow, act slow, and a lot of explicitly unexplained time travel mechanics (how, why, this man time travelled), tiny audio mixing issues there are about 2-3 instances where i thought the background music shouldn't have been so loud. That being said the GOOD aspects of this drama are: the portrayal of thai culture, thai QUEER history, a lot of tropes subversion, compelling subplots in addition to the main characters romance, the ACTING (not just the main leads but everyone else), fully immersive experience of being in thailand 1927, the care in detail for props, costumes, local accent, overall high quality production, the CINEMATOGRAPHY, the color palette.
I hope you will take the chance to watch it nonetheless despite the weaknesses mentioned in order to enjoy this beautiful love story 🥺
Novel: Jom go from 2023 - to 1927 - to 1700 (dark khun yai) - to 2023 (meet yai's reincarnation 'kanthorn') +…
I think the director wanted to satisfy book fans by giving both the ending of the novel (Jom meeting Yai reincarnation in 2023) and also hope for season 2 (Jom meeting Commander Yai im 1700s). so thr result is confusing for audiencd who haven't read the book. I think people who havent read should just ignore after credit scene with Commander Yai for the series to make more sense 😅
For you guys who have read the novel, I have question:Are Yai-Jom story in 1700 is kind of "from enemy to lover"…
cold harsh commander yai who has no idea who the hell jom is => jom actively pursues commander yai to no avail => jom about to give up and cries his heart to yai => commander yai is slowly smitten with jom and eventually loves him as passionately as 1927 yai (even more one may argue)
