It is not elaborated on in the book either. I personally have learned not to torture myself over the logistics of time travel within these kind of series haha. But to answer your question, actually in fact, present-day Yai only get like 4 last chapters in the book. From what we can deduce, present-day Yai Kanthorn only started getting the past memories once Jom was transported back to 1927 (the beginning of past Yai/Jom relationship). Mio really looks soooo different. I think the biggest similarity between Miyo and Princess Kiri are moments when Kiri smiles very sweetly and bright, kinda child-like innocence in her eyes, very similar to Miyo pure innocence. But characteristic-wise they're so different. Imada Mio is such a great actress.

Novel: Jom go from 2023 to 1927 - after that he doesn't get transported to the present but goes even back further in time to 1700 (tanned skin khun yai) - returning home to 2023 (meet yai's reincarnation 'kanthorn') + there is special au chapter unrelated/not connected to the og story that the author wrote about 1927 khun yai accidentally time travelling to the present (not in official translations, only available in thai on some platforms posted by the author violet rain, i only read unofficial fan translation of this chapter)

Series: jom 2023 -> 1927 yai -> 2023 meet kanthorn -> go back to 1700 (maybe if we get season 2 -> we'll get jom in 1700 -> 2023). The modern Yai you see is Yai Kanthorn (Khun Lek (Khun Yai's little brother)'s grand son) if u ignore after credit scene, it can just simply ends at jom meeting Yai Kanthorn who has memories of 1927 yai and jom. + special episode based on special chapter mentioned above, the special episode happens in between jom returning home and jom meeting the 2023 reincarnation of yai, when he woke up crying in the middle of the night, that's jom waking up from his dream of 1927 khun yai travelling to the present (the premise of the special ep)

I watched As Long As We Both Shall Live after Trillion Game and they really wowed me. The range Ren and Mio have as actors and to display very drastic characters was just brilliant. Having no prior knowledge about the anime/light novel, I was a bit underwhelmed by how little "romantic" scenes Miyo and Kudo have together but Ren and Mio totally killed it still. I too hope we can have sequels to either ALAWBSL or TG. I definitely think people who were able to watch soft/pure Ren/Mio in ALAWBSL before seeing them in TG are luckier though, I think the whiplash would have been much crazier to see them go from soft babies in love to hot bussiness rivals wanting to bang each other the whole time. No skinship for both series/film but their chemistry is UNMATCHED.

August is the right cast, the minor actors are poor casting choice... If they're going to also adapt Book 2 in which the characters have become adults they should have chosen an older Bai Luo Yin. August looks Gu Hai to me but Mac doesn't 😔

Bright had quite a few events in November and he very much want to affirm with all the fans that the Special EP is coming in December (multiple times). Dee Hup is starting to roll out their merch, with a tweet from the Director that boxset is also coming soon, and I think with Bright Nonkul shared event on December 29, if I had to make a wild guess on the date for Special EP, my personal guess is 22/12 or 23/12.

Don't worry I think you're just looking at the vocal minority. Most Thai and international fans are generally respectful of Nonkul's personal dating life and everyone knows to separate real life actors and fictional characters well. Nonkul is in the process of flirting/getting to know the actress Aff, they're not officially boyfriend/girlfriend yet but it is generally understood that he's only "talking" to her at the moment.

It's not cancelled. Bright and the producer have already confirmed it's coming out in December as a Christmas gift to the fans. They're just not fixed on a date yet because they know some fans will be travelling in December so it might be hard for them to come (for a Cinema screening of the Special EP).
