My heart absolutely breaks seeing his mom telling Yai about his arranged engagement party. Bright is such a terrific actor, the way he speaks in this terribly broken voice in frustration, monologue-ing about nobody ever asking him what he wants, about how he doesn’t have a choice and that he doesn’t want to end up like his sister.
Nobody should be watching the TV cut because they literally cut a whole Yai/Jom midnight outdoor date scene. Once again we get Jom who notices the very distressed Yai. However Yai lies again as to not worry Jom but we have Yai revealing his ambitions, hopes and dreams to Jom (Yai wanting to travel to France to study from enlightened thinkers, we love an intellectual man). Very random but Khun Yai lying on Jom’s lap saying his new dream is now to live forever with Jom whom he loves reminds me of that scene in Tangled where Flynn tells Rapunzel, she is his newest dream. ROMANCE DONE RIGHT! Once again we get the another scene of Jom holding Yai’s hand to his cheek and then Khun Yai kissing Jom’s hand. The way the scene ends with Jom taking the initiative, leaning down to kiss Yai is just so romantic.
Jom finding out Yai’s arranged engagement party from Khun Lek must hurt so much. Nonkul is such a brilliant actor and the prettiest crier. It’s the way Jom confronted Mae Prik about how why this bad thing is happening to him AGAIN! I love the progression of the story how Mae Prik went from being wary and foe to a friend, an ally to Jom, comforting our Jom breaking down, telling him that it’s not his fault. Can you believe this was cut from the TV version? Also that Jom’s long single tear rolling down his face when Khun Luang asked Jom to end his relationship with Yai… Oh Nonkul the actor that you are!
We get another Ming/Jom scene in the UNCUT version! Ming breaking to Jom the news of Maey/Peung was so emotional. I love Ming’s monologue about how even though he’s heartbroken, he can’t be as hurt as what Jom, Yai, Mary and Peung are going through right now. MING IS AN ALLY. MY BEST BOI I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! I love that Ming justifies for Khun Yai as well because I feel like that gives Jom a bit of insight into how both Yai and his sister were forced into marriage/engangement.
Ming and Fongkaew teaming up to save Maey from prison. I LOVE THESE LGBT+ ALLIES AND SOLIDARITY AMONG THE OPRESSED WORKING CLASS. Ming, Fongkaew and Meuy, I shall protect all of you my dear lovelies. Fongkaew is absolutely MVP in this episode. We love a badass second wife who helps break out the girlfriend of the first wife.
Maey/Ming has the best friendship. Tian and Guide are such excellent actors, not only because they’re both CH8 actors and already know each other well from being in other lakorns together but the way they fully embodies Maey and Ming. I was bawling by the time Ming’s eyes were filled with tears when he said goodbye to Maey.
I need Mr James to save Ming from Robert’s household. Thank you James for intervening to save my boi Ming from getting hit.
Jom and Yai’s breakup scene was a LOT. I love how IFYLITA does show not tell, from the simple action of Jom making the bed for Khun Yai (instead of sleeping in), Khun Yai could tell Jom already know about his engagement with Busabong. In this scene, we see an assertive Jom taking full control of their conversation, determined to be the one to walk away, to hold his tears back and break it off with Yai so Yai can let him go even though they love each other. Bright is just such an excellent actor because he portrays perfectly Khun Yai as a boy getting his heart broken and shattered for the first time, bawling his eyes out begging his love to stay. Whereas we see an experienced Jom not returning Khun Yai’s kiss (contrasting with Jom in Ep.1 who was begging Ohm to stay), eyes cold but hurt, saying things that he knows would cut like a knife to Khun Yai’s heart (reciting that line Khun Yai once said to Jom about how it takes time for something to change). The scoring for this line was immaculate. The way the music stopped right before Jom said “that includes the story of us”. I was shooketh. This man was COLD. Jom braves this cold face saying, bitter smile wishing Khun Yai’s happiness, asking that Yai keeps him a good memory while holding his tears back and only letting his tears dropped when Yai had hugged him so he can’t see Jom crying. Jom tip-toeing to give Khun Yai a kiss on the forehead as a goodbye kiss before hugging him and leaving him to cry alone. JUST STAB ME IN THE HEART.
Acting direction is one I gotta praise for this episode. I love how there THREE scenes in which Jom held Yai's hand on his cheek, followed by Yai kissing Jom’s hand (one when they had a conversation on the bed, their midnight outdoor date and the breakup convo). WE LOVE INTENTIONAL DIRECTION!
Jom crashing Khun Yai/Busabong engagement party. He is absolutely CRAZY for this because it is truly the most 2023 thing he's done ever since he stepped foot in 1927 (yes even more than that bad rap under the rain). From the preview it seems Green Queen Neuy is involve too? WE ARE SEATED FOR JOM AND NEUY!
It's the way his breakup with Yai was probably part of his plan too? I love that how in control series!Jom is. I think fighting for love is both a struggle for series!YaiJom whereas book!YaiJom didn't have to face a single objection. However as we are watching a very realistically queer period series, with queer rep, queer love and allies... Dee Hup House is bringing something extremely novel to the story: Jom fighting for his own love story by crashing the arranged engagement party of his lover. Absolute SLAY MOVE! WE STAN!
I don't know what big reveal is in store for next week but I have a feeling it has something to do with both Khun Luang's children being GAY! Thank god they're gonna wrap up the arranged engagement storyline quickly next episode because we got a glimpse of YaiJom 2nd bed scene and montages of them being cute in Episode 10.
This series keeps building up and up. To be honest, at this point I don't think it needs to stick the landing for me to call IFYLITA my favorite series of 2023. It truly is the BEST THAI SERIES of 2023 for me.

First thing first: I HOPE EVERYONE IS WATCHING THE UNCUT VERSION. I watched the TV version out of curiosity for this ep and after rewatching the uncut, they really cut it AGGRESSIVELY. The TV version is 45 minutes, whereas the UNCUT version is 1h10 minutes.
Khun Yai is so soft in taking care of the fever Jom had (from having crazy sex with Yai lmao). I feel like there’s this gentleness to Khun Yai/Jom that it would be impossible to have it were any actors other than them. It’s the way Nonkul can portray Jom being beautifully being aroused from the act of Khun Yai unbuttoning his clothes. Jom was soooo cute hiding his face with the blanket when Mae Prik walked in on Yai and Jom almost kissing.
I like how Tee Bundit just have Yai and his father laying all the cards on the table. Both were straight-forward in what they want and Khun Yai trying to stand up for himself. My little baby Yai I will take care of you. I love how Yai told his dad with a straight face that he and Jom are lovers, that he has NOTHING to be ashamed about their love. LET YAI HAVE WHAT HE WANTS! Khun Yai ending the conversation with I’mma do whatever I want is such a fuck you to his dad. We STAN!

This important conversation between Fongkaew/Peung was cut from the TV version and I’m sooooo mad. WE LOVE WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN. I love how Peung admits to Fongkaew of her selfishness, that she is also part of the reason why Robert married Fongkaew. There’s such complexity and depth to the women of this story and I’m IN LOVE! Regardless, Fongkaew empathizes with Peung and promises she will help her and Maey. once again I LOVE THE WOMEN OF IFYLITA SO MUCH!
Even when Jom is sick, he can still sense something wrong with Khun Yai and that right there is True Love everyone. I love the little moment where Khun Yai rubs Jom’s coconut bowl haircut and Jom closes his eyes, such a cat behavior i Love HE 🥺. The conversation they had on the bed is EXACTLY as what was in the novel and IM OBSESSED! No matter how many changes Dee Hup have adapted to the original novel, they have been keeping the EXACT iconic dialogues between Yai and Jom (absolute respect!).
Bright is such an expressive actor. It’s the way you can visibly see Khun Yai being so worried that Jom has disappeared to him immediately having this relief look on his face when he hears Jom calling him from the bathroom. Jom closing his eyes as Khun Yai gently leans in to feel the temperature from Jom’s forehead… I love how IFYLITA portrays intimacy without needing to involve any sexual activities. They are truly nailing all these romantic moments because these scenes are just handled with extreme care and sophistication to them. I love Jom’s immediate smile when Khun Yai told him that he’ll spend the whole day with Jom. In that one moment, Nonkul looked exactly like the Jom on the cover of the novel paperback, portraying that playful and mischievous Jom look. Jom was pro-active in asking if Khun Yai wanted to take a bath with him too. OMG JOM! YOU MODERN MAN!
Khun Yai’s purple/blue flowers silk shirt is so pretty. Yai saying he just wants to touch his lovers hand. I mean we get it sir, you’re obsessed with holding Khun Yai’s hand and kissing it too. I feel so bad for Jom when reality absolutely hits him when Busabong asks Khun Yai who he is and Yai had to say Jom is his majordomo. (continues below)

I'm a huge fan so I've recommended to about 6-7 irls about the series. Most of my friends love it with the exception of 2 friends. One said they're not very comfortable with the few sexual assault scenes because it's triggering for them personally and another friend thinks the series romance plot is a bit slow for their taste and doesn't like the GL, the arson mystery, the servants struggles subplots. I understand both of my friends reasoning and valid criticism but I also asked that second friend to put it on hold and try rewatch it when they're in the mood for a slowburn instead bc i feel like IFYLITA is just one of those series that you need to suspend a lot of belief in order to buy the romance (especially with the love at the first sight, soulmates, time travel tropes) and if you're in the mood for something too realistic, too logical you're not getting it in this drama 🥲

- Why did Jom travels back in time? How was he able to travel back in time? Why was he meant to see Khun Yai? What thing, event, or place was that make Jom able to travel back in time? What was his purpose to travel back in time?
As someone who read the novel, I think the answer is just as simple as: it's destiny. To give more context, in the back cover of my novel, there's this excerpt where Jom narrates, questioning about his time travel, musing that perhaps his purpose is not to prevent some kind of world wars or some terrible events happening but maybe his purpose is just to meet the love of his life? Also Jom in the VERY LAST chapter of the book said that he has NO IDEA why he travelled to the past. It just remains another mystery, through which Jom meets the true love of his life (3 times).
To give you an excerpt of that final chapter (unofficial English translation, my physical copy is in Vietnamese)
"I look at the screen, intrigued. The universe is a spectacularly marvelous thing, but we know about it so little despite being part of it. Up until now, I still haven't figured out how I traveled back to the past. What factors initiated such an incident? It is a question I have no idea if we will ever find the answer to.
Perhaps...those supernatural myths, devils, spirits, magic, the inexplicable mysteries, all the unknown things, might have already existed in nature. They might be part of the universe and can be scientifically proved, but humans have too little knowledge about them to stomach how they function."
Can anyone tell me what happens to robert in the novel ? He is a rapist. I want him dead. Disgusting fking asshole!!!
In the novel, Robert wasn't really the major villain like he is in the series. In the novel, he just shows up in the first half of Part 1 because Jom lived at his house to train his pig, his pig lost the race so he kicked Jom out of the house, which led to Khun Yai taking Jom into his household. He wasn't ever mentioned again. Also notably, there was no GL between Peung and Maey at all. Peung was not Khun Yai's sister. Robert and Khun Yai households are separated and unrelated to each other. The series has changed a lot and merged 2 characters:Khun Yai's sister and Lady Peung character into 1 person for the series.

Thank you for complimenting Bright on his accent playing Khun Yai. To share some interesting tidbits about Bright preparing his pronunciation as Khun Yai from their World Of Y podcast interview:
Bright says that he's usually a person who speaks really fast so to become Khun Yai, he made an effort to slow down his speech in daily life. Bright also said he made an effort to pronounce his 'r' sounds more clearly. (T/N: You will notice many Thai people today don't pronounce 'r' sounds or they just replace it with 'l' sounds (B does the latter often in his natural speech). So your observation of Khun Yai and his more pronounced "r" sound is absolutely right because it's completely intentional on Bright's part.
The way tones are executed in Thai today and in the past is slightly different. So when Bright watched the pilot they shot, he realised that he needed to make some changes to his speech as Yai who is someone who appears very sweet when he talks.
Bright attended a workshop to help with his speech because he was speaking too fast and unclearly. He would also do mouth exercises (a,e,i,o,u etc) while driving. Bright used "olden" language in his daily life to make his speech so convincing in the series. For instance, when he played games with his friends and they were streaming, he'd speak with olden language to practice.
This "olden" way of speaking still sticks with Bright up till today and he sometimes still speaks using some of the olden terms like using chan to refer to himself. Bright thought it was important for him to work on his speech because it would be really obvious if he spoke like today's generation and it would be too similar to the way Jom speaks.
There's a lot I want to say about I Feel You Linger In The Air... but so far I want to praise that it is truly the best adaptation from a BL novel I've seen in recent years... It's the way writers kept iconic dialogues, scenes while simultaneously give depth to supporting characters, authentically portray queer people and queer love in history. Like I really I appreciate that the GL storyline added in isn't just a gimmick to bait queer fans to watch the series... Maey/Peung storyline is important, integral, complimentary and parallels with Yai/Jom love story. There's much nuances to both respective queer relationships and how all of them connect with each other. I'm once again here to reiterate that IFYLITA is truly a queer series, not just another BL series.

Hi... so you probably already knew I was gonna be here... This episode... was just... so much sweetness, phenomenal acting from both Nonkul and Bright. Can I just say I'm absolutely in love with the romance between YaiJom? Every scenes we got between them is just so gentle and sweet... The fragrance of love is truly in the air for this week's episode. Down below will be some of my preliminary thoughts as I watch EP.8

The opening… the entire opening scene was insane… I love when Khun Yai was going IN for another kiss but Jom held his face back and asked that he takes his clothes off. The amount of desire you can see in Khun Yai’s eyes when Jom is taking his clothes off…. INSANITY… Bright Rapheephong is crazy good. I love how fragile Nonkul’s portrayal of Jom is, like his hand movements when kissing Khun Yai had my jaw dropping on the floor… The way Khun Yai kisses Jom hands and proceeds to eat Jom up like i screamed so loud… Bright and Nonkul are both phenomenal actors truly… They’re really Jom and Khun Yai who came straight out of the novel.
Oh we finally got that first time wormhole moment in the first episode. I love how connected everything in this series is. It never loses its original plot and everything ties together to make the series as cohesive as possible. Khun Yai hugging Jom after he saw how terrified Jom was, waking up from his nightmare… I melted… Khun Yai reassuring Jom when the entire audience know it isn’t possible for Khun Yai to be with Jom forever.
I like the transitioning of the scenes very much. We have the parallel two gay couples comforting each other on one rainy night.
We even get Peung ‘s backstory of being forced into this arranged marriage. Maey and Peung deserve so much better. Give my girls their damn happiness. But Peung is such a powerful girlie though, I love how she always stood up for herself even when she got married. It hurts me so much to see what Robert did to her. FUCK MARITAL RAPE!
But I still appreciate that Robert isn’t completely depicted as a villain. Like obviously he’s a bad person and I wish him death for hurting all my girlies but I do understand him feeling frustrated even though the fact simply is that Peung loves Maey and she could never and will never love him, leading him to resort to violence to feel dominant over his “wife”.
The bathtub scene… Khun Yai is truly the most caring man likeeeeee what do mean Yai prepared a relaxing bath for two because he saw how Jom was bothered by his nightmare. The little nose bump between the two is so cute PLEASE. I love how much respect this series has for its original novel… the most ICONIC dialogues are being incorporated EXACTLY from start to finish, even when they are not used in the same situation. Yai and Jom are so damn gentle in their own little world… I love how Khun Yai is looking at Jom like he’s a damn snack this entire episode though…. That is also exactly what novel!Yai did right after their first night together. Bright did his homework AND IT SHOWS.
The monk KNOWS. The monk definitely has to know that Jom is from the future and that YaiJom are DESTINY!
Chan being a damn spy for Khun Luang. FUCK HIM! This is not gonna end well for my loves YaiJom.
Fongkaew my dear, I love you but you’re such a bad liar. In this episode though, I’m actually rooting for Khamsaen and Fongkaew. I feel so bad when his mom shooed her off, like girlie came with GOOD intentions.
The fireflies scene was so beautifully shot. Especially the wide shots, the production team did really well in pulling a beautiful night for Yai and Jom, it’s just so gorgeous. I like how Khun Yai catches every little things Jom accidentally spills like him asking Jom if he remembers anything from his past because of Jom’s remark having seen fireflies before.
Yai and Jom’s piggyback scene is definitely MY FAVORITE scene in this episode… Khun Yai absolutely screams the boyish charm of a young adult in love for the first time. I like how Jom asked to ride on Khun Yai’s back Khun Yai … that is such an important moment because right after Jom asked Khun Yai if he understood how Jom felt every time Khun Yai pleading him to do something but it bothers Jom. LIKE OPEN COMMUNICATIONS. BUT PLAYFUL. AND FLIRTY. MY PERIOD BOYS IN LOVE. Jom remarking how sly of a boy Khun Yai is while pinching his cheeks like a little boy. I AM OBSESSED. The entire scene is so playful, flirty, cute and sweet. It is exactly as the Khun Yai and Jom of the novel we know and love.
So next week… I’m very glad to know from the preview that Jom’s fainting is just an excuse for us to get Khun Yai taking care of Jom in EP. 9 and not anything serious… But I could see everyone trying to break YaiJom next week… BRB I need to prepare my tissues and mental health because I KNOW IM NOT SURVIVING JOM CRYING.

Is the time travel on this series very hectic? Its the only reason I'm not watching. Help!
Nope! MC time travels only once and then through out eps 1-5, he sometimes has few glimpses of himself in the present timeline (like a glitch). But no jumping back and forth, or into another person's body... Very straightforward himself waking up in 1927 time-travel. Highly encourage you to start in this series if you're looking a fresh, romantic, GOOD slowburn with very high quality production value (the historical element feels very real and detailed from props, costumes to local accents)

Totally agree. Even I myself as a HUGE fan of the series, can acknowledge some weaknesses like platform accesibility for some viewers, sometimes the bg audio mixing is a tiny bit too loud, or flat lighting in certain scenes but these are so so so minuscule problems that the overall result is still so gooooood that these small problems can be overlooked because the entire series in itself from acting, plotting, pacing, cinematography, scoring... everything put together is just saurrrrr execellent. it's just such a hidden gem and i hope people don't miss out on it just because the first 4 eps move a bit slower than your average bl series.

I think fighting for love is both a struggle for series!YaiJom whereas book!YaiJom didn't have to face a single objection. However as we are watching a very realistically queer period series, with queer rep, queer love and allies... Dee Hup House is bringing something extremely novel to the story: Jom fighting for his own love story by crashing the arranged engagement party of his lover. Absolute SLAY MOVE! WE STAN!
I don't know what big reveal is in store for next week but I have a feeling it has something to do with both Khun Luang's children being GAY! Thank god they're gonna wrap up the arranged engagement storyline quickly next episode because we got a glimpse of YaiJom 2nd bed scene and montages of them being cute in Episode 10.
This series keeps building up and up. To be honest, at this point I don't think it needs to stick the landing for me to call IFYLITA my favorite series of 2023. It truly is the BEST THAI SERIES of 2023 for me.
Khun Yai is so soft in taking care of the fever Jom had (from having crazy sex with Yai lmao). I feel like there’s this gentleness to Khun Yai/Jom that it would be impossible to have it were any actors other than them. It’s the way Nonkul can portray Jom being beautifully being aroused from the act of Khun Yai unbuttoning his clothes. Jom was soooo cute hiding his face with the blanket when Mae Prik walked in on Yai and Jom almost kissing.
I like how Tee Bundit just have Yai and his father laying all the cards on the table. Both were straight-forward in what they want and Khun Yai trying to stand up for himself. My little baby Yai I will take care of you. I love how Yai told his dad with a straight face that he and Jom are lovers, that he has NOTHING to be ashamed about their love. LET YAI HAVE WHAT HE WANTS! Khun Yai ending the conversation with I’mma do whatever I want is such a fuck you to his dad. We STAN!
“Fong Kaew, I’m not that different from Robert, actually. I had known he liked you ever since we visited your parents’ tailor shop. But I never opposed him, because I was selfish. I thought that letting you in the house would help me survive my suffering from being his wife. I’m sorry, Fongkaew”
“Khun Eeang Peung, to me you’re not a bad person. It’s just that you’ve been oppressed by him, just like me. We are women. We just have to fight.”
This important conversation between Fongkaew/Peung was cut from the TV version and I’m sooooo mad. WE LOVE WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN. I love how Peung admits to Fongkaew of her selfishness, that she is also part of the reason why Robert married Fongkaew. There’s such complexity and depth to the women of this story and I’m IN LOVE! Regardless, Fongkaew empathizes with Peung and promises she will help her and Maey. once again I LOVE THE WOMEN OF IFYLITA SO MUCH!
Even when Jom is sick, he can still sense something wrong with Khun Yai and that right there is True Love everyone. I love the little moment where Khun Yai rubs Jom’s coconut bowl haircut and Jom closes his eyes, such a cat behavior i Love HE 🥺. The conversation they had on the bed is EXACTLY as what was in the novel and IM OBSESSED! No matter how many changes Dee Hup have adapted to the original novel, they have been keeping the EXACT iconic dialogues between Yai and Jom (absolute respect!).
Bright is such an expressive actor. It’s the way you can visibly see Khun Yai being so worried that Jom has disappeared to him immediately having this relief look on his face when he hears Jom calling him from the bathroom. Jom closing his eyes as Khun Yai gently leans in to feel the temperature from Jom’s forehead… I love how IFYLITA portrays intimacy without needing to involve any sexual activities. They are truly nailing all these romantic moments because these scenes are just handled with extreme care and sophistication to them. I love Jom’s immediate smile when Khun Yai told him that he’ll spend the whole day with Jom. In that one moment, Nonkul looked exactly like the Jom on the cover of the novel paperback, portraying that playful and mischievous Jom look. Jom was pro-active in asking if Khun Yai wanted to take a bath with him too. OMG JOM! YOU MODERN MAN!
Khun Yai’s purple/blue flowers silk shirt is so pretty. Yai saying he just wants to touch his lovers hand. I mean we get it sir, you’re obsessed with holding Khun Yai’s hand and kissing it too. I feel so bad for Jom when reality absolutely hits him when Busabong asks Khun Yai who he is and Yai had to say Jom is his majordomo. (continues below)

As someone who read the novel, I think the answer is just as simple as: it's destiny. To give more context, in the back cover of my novel, there's this excerpt where Jom narrates, questioning about his time travel, musing that perhaps his purpose is not to prevent some kind of world wars or some terrible events happening but maybe his purpose is just to meet the love of his life? Also Jom in the VERY LAST chapter of the book said that he has NO IDEA why he travelled to the past. It just remains another mystery, through which Jom meets the true love of his life (3 times).
To give you an excerpt of that final chapter (unofficial English translation, my physical copy is in Vietnamese)
"I look at the screen, intrigued. The universe is a spectacularly marvelous thing, but we know about it so little despite being part of it. Up until now, I still haven't figured out how I traveled back to the past. What factors initiated such an incident? It is a question I have no idea if we will ever find the answer to.
Perhaps...those supernatural myths, devils, spirits, magic, the inexplicable mysteries, all the unknown things, might have already existed in nature. They might be part of the universe and can be scientifically proved, but humans have too little knowledge about them to stomach how they function."
Bright says that he's usually a person who speaks really fast so to become Khun Yai, he made an effort to slow down his speech in daily life. Bright also said he made an effort to pronounce his 'r' sounds more clearly. (T/N: You will notice many Thai people today don't pronounce 'r' sounds or they just replace it with 'l' sounds (B does the latter often in his natural speech). So your observation of Khun Yai and his more pronounced "r" sound is absolutely right because it's completely intentional on Bright's part.
The way tones are executed in Thai today and in the past is slightly different. So when Bright watched the pilot they shot, he realised that he needed to make some changes to his speech as Yai who is someone who appears very sweet when he talks.
Bright attended a workshop to help with his speech because he was speaking too fast and unclearly. He would also do mouth exercises (a,e,i,o,u etc) while driving. Bright used "olden" language in his daily life to make his speech so convincing in the series. For instance, when he played games with his friends and they were streaming, he'd speak with olden language to practice.
This "olden" way of speaking still sticks with Bright up till today and he sometimes still speaks using some of the olden terms like using chan to refer to himself. Bright thought it was important for him to work on his speech because it would be really obvious if he spoke like today's generation and it would be too similar to the way Jom speaks.

Oh we finally got that first time wormhole moment in the first episode. I love how connected everything in this series is. It never loses its original plot and everything ties together to make the series as cohesive as possible. Khun Yai hugging Jom after he saw how terrified Jom was, waking up from his nightmare… I melted… Khun Yai reassuring Jom when the entire audience know it isn’t possible for Khun Yai to be with Jom forever.
I like the transitioning of the scenes very much. We have the parallel two gay couples comforting each other on one rainy night.
We even get Peung ‘s backstory of being forced into this arranged marriage. Maey and Peung deserve so much better. Give my girls their damn happiness. But Peung is such a powerful girlie though, I love how she always stood up for herself even when she got married. It hurts me so much to see what Robert did to her. FUCK MARITAL RAPE!
But I still appreciate that Robert isn’t completely depicted as a villain. Like obviously he’s a bad person and I wish him death for hurting all my girlies but I do understand him feeling frustrated even though the fact simply is that Peung loves Maey and she could never and will never love him, leading him to resort to violence to feel dominant over his “wife”.
The bathtub scene… Khun Yai is truly the most caring man likeeeeee what do mean Yai prepared a relaxing bath for two because he saw how Jom was bothered by his nightmare. The little nose bump between the two is so cute PLEASE. I love how much respect this series has for its original novel… the most ICONIC dialogues are being incorporated EXACTLY from start to finish, even when they are not used in the same situation. Yai and Jom are so damn gentle in their own little world… I love how Khun Yai is looking at Jom like he’s a damn snack this entire episode though…. That is also exactly what novel!Yai did right after their first night together. Bright did his homework AND IT SHOWS.
The monk KNOWS. The monk definitely has to know that Jom is from the future and that YaiJom are DESTINY!
Chan being a damn spy for Khun Luang. FUCK HIM! This is not gonna end well for my loves YaiJom.
Fongkaew my dear, I love you but you’re such a bad liar. In this episode though, I’m actually rooting for Khamsaen and Fongkaew. I feel so bad when his mom shooed her off, like girlie came with GOOD intentions.
The fireflies scene was so beautifully shot. Especially the wide shots, the production team did really well in pulling a beautiful night for Yai and Jom, it’s just so gorgeous. I like how Khun Yai catches every little things Jom accidentally spills like him asking Jom if he remembers anything from his past because of Jom’s remark having seen fireflies before.
Yai and Jom’s piggyback scene is definitely MY FAVORITE scene in this episode… Khun Yai absolutely screams the boyish charm of a young adult in love for the first time. I like how Jom asked to ride on Khun Yai’s back Khun Yai … that is such an important moment because right after Jom asked Khun Yai if he understood how Jom felt every time Khun Yai pleading him to do something but it bothers Jom. LIKE OPEN COMMUNICATIONS. BUT PLAYFUL. AND FLIRTY. MY PERIOD BOYS IN LOVE. Jom remarking how sly of a boy Khun Yai is while pinching his cheeks like a little boy. I AM OBSESSED. The entire scene is so playful, flirty, cute and sweet. It is exactly as the Khun Yai and Jom of the novel we know and love.
So next week… I’m very glad to know from the preview that Jom’s fainting is just an excuse for us to get Khun Yai taking care of Jom in EP. 9 and not anything serious… But I could see everyone trying to break YaiJom next week… BRB I need to prepare my tissues and mental health because I KNOW IM NOT SURVIVING JOM CRYING.
