i think just seeing Seo Joon in the flesh with his puppy eyes everyday made his heart melt little by little,. Then he saw his ex, she opened his mind somehow, the scandal happened, his heart worried for Seo Joon, his past was reveal so his defenses became weaker, then just cant take it anymore and he read those messages. I think its the accumulation of all the things that happened. Maybe you are looking for a specific scene that the writer failed to show. I have also some thoughts about fast reconciliation, but who am I to complain for the whole episodes of happiness. ))
And its done. In the end we got sweet, nostalgic. and full of love ending.... I may have had some misgivings on how the writer spend each minutes on the characters, I thinks there are some scenes that can be excluded or there are some scenes that can be better. 8 episodes of unknown and angsts, 5mins of reconciliation (damn, I wish Ji Woo grovel more) 1.5 ep of sweetness (writer really did compensate us) but all in all, I embrace this untold stories.

I'm not just talking about romance, all the 5 main characters don't have sparks for me when they are interacting together... i always admire kdrama that gave me unexpected casts that have great chemistry like the CLOY gang, 2521 group, The Uncanny Counter casts to name a few but im on ep 4 but still not getting any feeling with them, i don't feel the magic. Maybe in ep 5, when they start Uk's training... Im still waiting.
I like it a lot.. the color, camera works, acting, effect, story pacing... but i just cant feel any chemistry with the 5 leads... they look awesome individually but cant get excited even with that close contact... no butterflies, nothing, nada. somethings wrong with me...

i think, when he saw the ig live of SJ staff celebrating SJ bday, he thought..ah, this is it... the time when SJ finally forget about me. Its all his insecurities just came full blown and rather than hearing SJ say it, he left first... Tho he feel SJ love and sincerity, he still dont believe the he deserve that love. When he said that a year of memory with SJ is enough for him to last forever and he thought that SJ will just forget about him. I somehow I understand. He thought he is living a dream... but he so wrong..bcoz SJ truly deeply love him and still remembers him and always thought his happiness and well being first. Ugh. I hope JW will learn to love himself first. Thats the only way he can fully accept SJ love.
JW is such a complex character, I may not know what's going thru his mind but somehow i understand his struggle. when you feel guilty and thought you don't deserve to be loved, you feel suffocated and the only way to breathe is to leave. My heart hurt for him.
There' a lot of worthy scenes in ep 8 but I cant help but ponder on what his ex ask " You came back here just to go back to Kang Seo Joon... If not, the you intended to end it completely?"
Maybe he left because he wants to find his worth on his own so he can go back to SJ more confident and successful? Not just the JW who waits for the top star SJ but somehow to be on equal footing (tho SJ doesn't think of it that way)
We may not agree with how JW handled his insecurities, the ghosting and the 2nd meeting but its his journey, its how he process his own demon. I just hope like what SJ hope, the JW will be happy. JW deserved it too...whether be together or apart with SJ.
SJ pain is valid. JW is sht for abandoning him just like that but JW pain is valid too. Lets us not hate on JW too much.

im leaning towards SJ said something behind JWs back, but JW heard it and he's so hurt.... but this one is plausible for me.... that's why he looked at his parents photo at the bedside after they slept together? hmmm. lets wait and see. you have a knack for storytelling :))
The OR scene is not as impressive as Hospital Playlist and Dr. Romantic but I love the bromance. I love their journey. More than a medical drama I more appreciate the interactions of the characters and their growth. The villains are quiet stupid for my taste but its ok I enjoyed the whole drama.
