i love watching chinese costume dramas sm. i fell upon prisoner of beauty on a random sunday when it was still airing and got bummed about it so i patiently waited 2 weeks for it to finish (the worse 2 weeks in my life fr) i was over the moon when this ended lmaothe story follows the typical contractual marriage with forced proximity trope. the fl and ml are married off to each other to form an alliance and forget their past feuds. at first they were very much at odds but slowly and surely she wins his heart.
i love how this was a proper enemies to lovers and kinda slow burn. i love slow burn sm. i absolutely loved how them bering enemies was nothing like he is ignoring her until he thinks of her or starts caring for her and realises he likes her, this one was proper if u speak ill kill you vibes which later on went on to become i will kill for her. i loved them so much not to mention their chemistry was just out of this world. i binge watched te last 15 episodes i just loved this sm and couldnt wait to finish this. apart from the romance the politics was so good oh my good, no matter how much i praise this drama its of no good, this was an absolute banger. i hated lady yulou sm, i hated shiyuan at first but slowly he gained my trust, was still wary of him when he left for the last time but i had the biggest goosebumps when he came back to fight for wei. i had seen that bi zhi would rebel against wei shao on the internet but did not know why so i spent almost all of the series trying to figure out if he is evil lmao. i did not want to be spoiled so i never watched the content till the end and i was so confused lol. nevertheless i loved it sm, the romance, the politics, the chemistry between the leads i love them sm.
talking about the leads song zuer and li yuning fit the rol so perfectly. i did not realise they could look so good side by side with each-other and not to mention they made me feel like i need a bf so many times lmao. their chemistry was literally the best like sparks were flying everywhere they burned me, like literally. i loved how they were not only funny but so serious as well, aaaaaah i love them sm
last but not the least, the four brothers. i had tears in my eyes when wei liang passed, i knew about his passing but still it felt so sad. ngl i did blame manman at that time, if she did not have that dream wei liang would have been alive, they wouldve gotten intel on the rebellion from elsewhere or qiao ci couldve informed them, there were so many ways. he did not die in vain but it was, for sure, unnecessary. i loved the four brothers sm. wei xiao and wei duo were visually apealing. kinda loved how wei xiao was always supportive towards wei even till the last episode. he loved the people he knew from qiao but was not ready to trust everyone and i respect him for that. wei quo was me. like literally me. i could see myself in him we are so similar lmao.
ill miss these characters sm they were my life for almost a week, ill just miss them sm i want a season 2

glory is about dongeun who was severely bullied in high school and came back 18 years later to take revenge. in the first season we see how dongeun grew up after she was severely bullied and the second season executes it all out. for me s1 was more of a build up situation and s2 was executed perfectly. the revenge was so satisfying and the final ep?? mwah almost cried
i loved the acting sm. all the actors potrayed their characters so well. like u hate them for being the villain but u love them too cuz their acting is just so good. i loved everyone in the cast sm
the only flaw maybe was jooyeon's backstory. he needed more. like im not really satisfied with it. if ur really opening up his side of life u should execute it like u did what dongeun's story. it was totally unnecessary to bring up his past imo
other than that i loved this whole series. would definitely recommend but do check the trigger warnings

i can understand when people dwy this is overrated cuz everyone and their mamas know about this drama but really it deserves the recognition. ive gotten accustomed to jumpscares and sudden betrayals in dramas sm i expected smth to happen at least but nothing happened lmao. hospital playlist is all about 5 doctors and their personal lives and i loved how much insight we got in every operation and everything. i loved how they had a personal life to enjoy too after all their struggles the whole week
i have nothing much to say this is just a feel good drama showing struggles of doctors and the strong friendship between 5 besties. i have a lot of hope for season 2
i loved senghwa and ikjun sm. their foodie besti thing ugh i love them sm. also the parents being friends <33 ah my heart i love all of them sm im gonna cry

so the ml and fl start off on a rough patch when fl accidentally kills ml's fiance. now fl being the generous righteous person she is she helps the ml's finace's family to "pay for her sins" now ml hates her sm he tries everything in his power to bring fl down but fl's father concealed everything thus ml becomes powerless. more and more these two get tangled with each other and gradually fall in love while ml realises how much of a good person fl is
the most annoying characters in the whole drama were piak and nong pim. those two women made me lose hair with frustration ugh. also clumsy bua is fine but dumb and annoying bua?? ugh i could cry this whole thing was so frustrating but then again i knew what i was getting into so i shouldnt complain lmao.
all in all awesome lakorn. i had this on my watchlist for years and im glad i finally watched it. totally worth my time

this is probably the longest drama ive ever watched and the fact i watched it on a total whim after seeing some humor edits on yt.
there is really no way i could sum up the whole series in a few lines cuz 56 episodes was a lot and i assure u none of them were fillers. every episode had its purpose and even tho it might seem a bit overwhelming to watch all of that it is all so worth it
lets start with the characters. i watched the whole drama for 2 weeks. at first i was determined to finish it in a few days but the number of episodes overwhelmed me and i dragged it around lmao. i still remember vividly the first few episodes. ling buyi and cheng shaoshang meeting for the first time, them starting on a rough path which gradually led to zisheng noticing shaoshang everywhere if she is in close proximity and that evolving to him going everywhere to protect her. their relationship was so pure and full of heartful moments. they might not have been intimate but really everything they went through together put them above everyone else. im not even bluffing i could feel like im growing with them throughout the drama it was so slow paced and their oove was portrayed as such a warm and lovely feeling
my other fav characters include yuan shen, the empress, empress and concubine yue. ugh i love the rulers' trio sm. all 3 of them have their own virtues and talents which led them to be he most powerful trio ugh i loved them so so much. its all thanks to the emperor and empress that shaoshang and zisheng grew up to be so sensible and caring for their surroundings. concubine yue was one of my absolute favs cuz she roasts people day and night like its her side job and we love her for that (she isnt rude she just pricks people with the right words at the right moment and ofc to people who deserve it) the relation between the empress and concubine was also divine. time and time again we were proven people can co-exist if they are good enough.
yuan shen was also one of my most fav characters. he always had that warm "im gonna protect shaoshang like a brother" aura for me. he might've been in love with her but honestly? he was more like a brother / bsf. he used to talk to her whenever she had worries and they used to fight sm ah ill miss them. u get REALLY attached when its a 56 ep drama lmao
last but not the least the cheng family and ofc yuanyi. i would like to say every mother in this drama got to learn parenting by taking caring of others' kids and every mother had a diff approach. yuanyi was wrong on a lot of accounts but i was glad she actually admitted to where she went wrong and tried to reconcile with shaoshang in the end.
i hated the third prince sm cuz i thought he was a bad person for beating up zisheng until i saw the real scene and realised it was all staged. the third prince had the best character development and honestly i went from extreme hate to extreme love for him he is one of my fav characters now lmao
love like the galaxy is one of a kind. it has just the right amount of drama and all a surplus amount of revenge plot. it has absolutely no unnecessary drama and i love it sm. u really cant go in expecting anything. everything turns out to be opposite of what normally happens in other dramas. i used to think romance of tiger and rose was lusi's best drama but this one changed my mind. idk if its lusi's unmatched chemistry with her leads or what but she always has a way of presenting the best. i really went to watch this show for shaoshang and ended up falling for wu lei no kidding.

i loved the drama. however there were a lot of plot holes.now i didnt mind them much cuz i went un for the visuals anyway.
the story is about xiaobao who cant talk. he experienced smth traumatic when he was 2 yrs old (?) and since then he hasnt uttered a word. his dad (uncle) is raising him and looking into that accident. the fl, yiyue is a child specialist who encountered xiaobao once and xiaobao took an instant liking to her. now the stoy progesses with xiaobao wanting yiyue ti be his mummy and qaoyian trying every means to get her to be by their side
this drama has a contract marriage trope with visually pleasing leads. and yall know where there is contract marriage there is me. honestly i loved the banter sm. xiaobao is the absolute cutest and him actually helping his dad to win his mom was so wholesome.
there is a suspence sub plot but imo it isnt executed well. the secrets are revealed too abruptly and almost like it doesnt matter anymore.
if u want smth light to binge watch with good banter this is for you
romance? 11/10

this was such a fun watch i love it sm. i had started watching this abruptly i had no plans of watching this after i had finished love next door (given it took me so much time to finish love next door) nevertheless i finished it so fast and im so happy i didmy demon i ofc about jung guwon a modern day demon who has his own way of living. he meets do dohee who is an up and coming chaebol and has her own company. they keep meeting due to circumstances and fall into a contract marriage eventually falling in love
i loved their dynamic sm, apart from sweet home i believe this is song kang's best work. i would love to see him in another ceo comedy drama he looked so handsome and it suit him so well. they looked perfect with each-other and i would be happy if they were cast together again tho that is a very rare occurrence in kdrama world
this is the perfect romcom with just the right amount of mystery

did i finish this drama or did this drama finish me is one of my most favorite lines to start with when i love something i watched too much. i just cannot with this drama, i started this thinking this will be just like the other ones but this one is one of the best dramas i have ever watched not even kidding im so seriousso if we start from the first we meet bai shuo who wants to become an immortal due to her personal reasons and is led to fan yue who is an actual demon lord. then she somehow gains the power of one of the most powerful stones, the contemplation stone, which is very much needed by fan yue too btw and the two fall into a partnership to unleash the powers of the stone. even if they unleash all the powers of the stone there is still a longer plotline that is uncovered after that
lemme start of with the story. even though it was a bit slow in the starting it gained momentum pretty soon so much so that i watched 18 episodes in a day (do not blame me the plot just got THAT good). it is a medium paced romance with a seemingly fast paced story. i fucking love the whole story and plotline sm. there are no plotholes that i can think of (tho it wouldve been appreciated if they could kill less people like mf nobody was left in the end i was fucking devastated) i think the ending is more of an open kinda thing like as much as bai shuo thinks she might be trapped in her own subconciusness / dreams and seeing fang yue i think that too (but thats mostly because this drama has given me immense trust issues atp) i can proudly say this is the right amount of storyline that should be expected from a 40 episode xianxia
now coming to the characters, although i loved a few in the beginning i quickly came to love all of them sm. i always thought the eternals were useless and hated them for being selfish all the time which was realised by the them in the end so idk if its a win or not but still i hate them waa. i loved the main characters ofc, i never knew a man could look that pretty lmao. every characters' dresses and makeup were just so fucking immaculate and just on spot im planning on changin majors and going into the cdrama dressing industry.
i cannot praise bai shuo and fang yue enough individually it would literally exceed the word limit. i loved them both sm. their growth from being pre-occupied with themselves all the time to growing to be friends / partners and then falling in love and literally living or dying together was just so beautiful i loved their storyline sm i hope everyone finds a love like them cuz wdym bro searched 6,000 years for her even breaking through heaven's laws like bitch me when. anyways. i also loved how bai shuo was not a weak female lead per-se like even though she was not the strongest she was never a coward as well. she was always ready to be on the forefront to fight for herself or her loved ones and fan yue was never there to be like ill do it for you but he was there like yea lemme do it if its too much for u im always here if u need me, like u do not understand how much that means to a person when their partner believes in them with all their being.
lastly lemme praise the cgi, graphics, cinematography anything u wanna call it. i went in just for the aesthetics of the drama and that mightve been the best thing ive ever watched in my whole fucking life and ive not even lived enough.
i love them sm i hope love like this that lasts for fucking eternities finds everyone tyvm ill go cry a river now

the story is about seo ari who went from rich to poor and after meeting her hs friend after a long time (she is an e celeb now) she starts getting pushed into the influencer world and becomes popular very fast. however good things come with a price and thats how her life starts getting derailed.
i kinda like how nowadays there are so jany series which show us the truth of the online world but then again my trust issues are becoming higher lmao. this was kinda educational and i loved the rush of thrill throughout the whole series, the thriller was sooo good.
the tension between junkyoung and ari was unimaginable too ugh. i loved them sm i need more of them cries.
all in all. very good show with awesome osts and a solid plot. i do think the end couldve been longer tho but overall awesome

i watched this drama totally out of the blue like i was looking for series to watch on netflix so that my subscription does not go to waste and this literally dropped into my lap like no other. i had been wanting to watch this series ever since it dropped because of the famous bathroom scene lmao, i also loved the appeal of the whole enemies to lovers shit and all in all wanted to watch this os bad the drama starts off nice with the main characters being introduced and ngl i loved them from the very first episode hehe. the actors are both very versatile and i remember how popular young dae was when this first launched back in 2022. he had so many projects back to back i had forgotten how handsome he wa slmao.
let me get into the actors and their characters now shall we. I love sung kyung - ofc - and i loved her character here not to mention girly had an amazing stylist who rarely missed. she was such a hapy go lucky but passionate office worker it kinda gave me a bit of hope (im gonna graduate soom am in need of jobs lmao) i loved her character. she was smart, kind and hardworking. then there was gong tae sung, kim young dae bro really made me believe in he has fun in whatever he does kinda lifestyle like bro was an actor with 100% on his stress cale but bro was the happiest throughout the whole drama (if we lowkey ignore his backstory) lee jung shin was the perfect side character ngl i love him too much to make him the second lead and was so fuking happy to see him get laid before young dae even tho young dae started dating before him. i loved the dynamic between suhyeok and taesung sm they literally went from love rivals to neighbours to best firends like man this is what im talking about when i mean i love making friends, their relationship was so mature i loved it. i especially loved it when taesung got to know that su hyeok got a gf and he would come second to suhyeok now lmao, the betrayal on his face was so real lol
i lovd the rest of the cast sm as well, everyone did such a good job i love the whole crew sm aaaaaaa
now about the story, the story was a cliche workplace romance drama with some hidden plot twists which i loved, i love how the plot twists did not feel dragged and loopholed, everything was just so perfect. the only reason im not giving this drama a 10 or even an 9 is because this is a very mild kinda drama. it is not something that blew my mind but might've been my comfort drama in some way
all in all watch this if uve got some free time to spare and love some good enemies to lovers

i started watching cu it had two of my most favorite things in a cdrama - marriage of convenience and ding yuxi lmao, like these were actually my only two reasonsi was waiting for prisoner of beauty to air and melody of golden age was the closest to it and bonus bonus i get ding yuxi so i started watching it. i had almost no epectations from the female lead as i had never seen her before (imagine the mental turmoil i had to go through when i got to know she is younger than me and got to be with ding yuxi imma cry) and she did impress me with her skills. this might be a bit off-topic but i love her nose scrunch sm like ive never seen someone wrinkling their nose like that i found it so oddly cute lmao.
the story started out great with fl being married off to ml in the first few episodes for her to work as a spy for another palace official but she never wanted to be a spy but to only follow her passion, that is, solving mysteries and becoming an official. she does just that, all through the drama she solved quite a few cases advancing in rank as she did so. one thing i did not like about her was that she was rewarded way too often for absolute no reason at times, other than that i loved everything about her
ding yuxi was just the perfect ml wehn it all started but once he became soft for fl it was all gone with the tide amen (mind you im not saying the character went bad or something) he became a loser in love (with all due respect) and i love him for that, go baby boy. he was everything fr like girls this is the standard, however, the way his character progressed in the last two episodes did not really apeal with me that much. the ending they gave him was good but not good enough
the story is nice, it starts off nice and slows down quite a bit at the latter half like they were solving cases so well and the main mystery had so much potential but they revealed it so half-hazardly i did not enjoy it much, the explanation was good but the directory was just not it, it couldve been so much better.
i loved the side characters sm AND GOD FORBID i loved that no one i loved had to be unalived oh my god. i knew lai louzhi would die but still had some hope for him idk why but he kinda was a softie at heart kinda person even though i knew he was the most bipolar person there.
nevertheless i enjoyed it and i want ding yuxi in another character like this(who am i kidding all his costume dramas are the same character)

this was not on my watch list but i saw this recommended while prisoner of beauty was still airing and i wanted to watch it so bad that i started this one thing it would be similar. it was not.the story follows yang caiwei who has been forced to change faces with shanguan zhi due to romantic issues with pan yue and unfortunately shunguan gets killed during their wedding. thus caiwei is left all alone to find out who killed her alongside pan yue who is the current magistrate of heyang. the synopsis is pretty confusing but once you started watching it it becomes easier
everyone said the fl had bad acting but imo it was okayish. she is beautiful and did well for the most part the only thing i did not like about her was maybe her pouting at everything and anything idk, other than that she was fine enough. i really started the drama because of the leads but just like the 90% others i fell hard for the second ml (i was fucking devastated when he passed like i was so sure he cannot be gone i just watched that scene causally and then for the next episode i see the comments reminiscing him and im like bitch wtf) the second fl was kinda annoying, suspicious and making me angry at times but still she was good enough (ig) imo the second leads had more chemistry than the main leads. the romantic pov for both the couples felt so absurd and forced. like one episode pan yue does not care about shanguan zhi but the next when she realises she is yang caiwei, her childhood crush he becomes all sweetheart catering to everything she wants/ needs at all times like he has loved her for generations. the second leads also were smooth-sailing, having great chemitry but them suddenly kissing and spending a night together then becoming awkward with each other was so questionable to me.
honestly i was so bored of the first 10 episodes i did not even care about the romance i just watched the whole series for the thriller and let me tell you, it was fucking worth it. i had thought about dropping this drama so many times due to the lack of chemistry but the thriller kept me going and that was the best decision ive ever made, i watched 20 episodes today in one sitting and damn that was so satisfying. the way each case is discovered and then solved, mwah chef's kiss. the way they ended this season im very optimistic about a second season and i believe it would be just as good. the director has an awesome touch for thriller and i hope he does not touch romance for a while yea lmao

this was such a coy watch i loved it. i havent watched a slice of life drama in so long this was just the thing i needed, only the episodes were a bit too long nglthe story was so good i do not remember the last time i had watched a childhood frieds to lovers drama and this delivered the tropes so well. the way she only saw him as a friend up until he confessed and she started rethinking all her life choices. i also love how their exes were such support systems throughout the drama supporting them in whatever they did without tearing the whole city apart. there was no silly break-up moment or anything i just loved everything about it. this is nothing exceptional and could be watched at a slow pace just to cleanse one's palletes
i loved somin and haein sm. haein really needs to do more work like this i love his smile sm. they were such a visual couple and their smiles oh my god. they were the perfect match for this drama. i wouldnt say they were like "i could not picture them with anyone else after this" but they had such exceptional chemistry it just made it feel right.
i will miss them sm, all of them, the mothers, the siblings, the couples, yeondu, everyone. this was such a cozy drama aaaaaaaaaaaaa

this drama had a good plotline and i thought how bad can it be from the comments and reviews but i truly underestimated them.the story starts off with our main character finding a phone (how? why? really?) that had the administration dashboard of their school's popular community group and from that day onwards she started exploiting people's secrets to become their friends
first off the bat how can an 18year old be so dumb as to not realise that she was exploiting people's secrets and their personal lives. everyone has their own issues and problems and just because u found out about it that does not give you the right to bring it up to start the conversation. this is what happened the whole drama
there was a mystery / romance subplot to this. the mystery was good it had potential to be better it wouldve been ever better if they could lengthen the drama and create e solid base on the administrator dashboard thing
lastly about the acting. i never talk about acting cuz imo everyone starts somewhere but im very sorry to say but this fl was not it for me she needs some more practice. im so sorry to say this. this is someone's hardwork but to be very honest i did not even like the acting

i finished watching this in under 4 days i was so captivated by it.i had just finished watching blossom when i had reluctantly started this cuz 1. i wanted to forget i will never see the blossom leads together again(maybe) and 2. im just like that i try to distract msyelf instantly when i finish a drama.
at first as i had just finished blossom and the styles of both the drama are very dissimilar i kept comparing the two. i was even finding faults till ep 11. however, the pace started fastening after that and god knows ive been in misery ever since. this was such a perfect drama im just flabbergasted rn. i hate the last ep with all my guts. the only reason this is getting 9 points is cuz that ending deserved to be a dragged at least another episode. ik romance was not even a subplot in this drama still we were served but it was just utterly brutal that they would cut uf off just like that. also there was no fucking reason to kill off xiao heng's lackeys bro (i will never recover from that) like they were such good side characters. when i was watching the extra episode i kept thinking ah wen ji would make a joke here and get beaten up like the writers made me get attached to them for 40 episodes and then killed them off abruptly like morning tea aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
now on to the characters. i fucking loved jiang li/xue fangfei so fucking much. her plot was so solid she was unbeatable. i admire her sm for her independent self like mam had it all under the palm of her hand, tho it was a bit annoying how she kept going to xiao heng every time she fucked up which was 80% times. however we forgive her for her braveries. she really had the big brains and her acting is just immaculate.
next up xiao heng (kept the best for the last) this was my first xingyue drama and he has me under his palms. before this i knew of his existence ofc but i never thought id be watching his dramas anytime soon. normally i watch dramas if my favorite/known actors are there but this time i heard the double would be the best choice to watch after blossom and i followed suite and fuck that was ethereal. i loved every moment of the drama it was so good.
now dont get me started on their relationship. this drama literally looked like they did not even plan on having romance as even a subplot but then decided against it just to cater to viewers' needs and wants and the leads cooperated so well on that. my bsf knows the amount of times ive screamed pls get me a bf because of this man.
normally after every drama i go like i want more but this time im truly satisfied. the plot is stong, the ending couldve been better but for a revenge drama that was fucking good. i hope to see more like these so bad
