I have the impression that Shaocheng wants to go TOO fast. As soon as he becomes a Vice Minister, he wants to be Co-Chancelor! I have a feeling that his fall from the top will be brutal.
It’s the first time since I’ve been watching historical Cdramas, that both main leads don’t come from noble families. I don’t know if there are other historical Cdramas like this but it’s quite refreshing to see that.
This is only my opinion and I think I will give (surely a global opinion at the end of the drama). I am disappointed, really disappointed by this drama yet I did not expect anything. I know, having watched the dramas of P'Jojo that he is a good director, but I don’t know if it was because of the deadline to release the drama or it’s just the actors who do not go or even the genre? Yet 3willbefree in the action genre was well done and well executed. As usual P'Jojo puts a lot of reference to the films he liked in these dramas and in THK we can see it but it is poorly executed. When it’s the scenes of emotions I feel nothing, nothing involves me more in their emotional behavior (yet Khaotung plays well) but I don’t know if it’s the acting of all the characters that don’t go or is that the way in the director wanted the performance of the scene. The action scenes I do not ask too much but it remains stupid, Khaotung that we see clearly putting punches in the air. Sometimes I feel like it’s really a play that they play weird whites and covers of embarrassing lyrics, not to mention audio problems. The script from the first episode it disappointed me but it’s a drama gmmtv I did not expect something very dark as soon as I knew that they were only "killers of bad guys" I rolled my eyes but I got used to it but as soon as I learned that they were not really brothers it still disappoints me. We talk about the character of Fadel who from the beginning suspects Style and Kant to be in their lives but does nothing for that in the meantime it is at this moment that he could have followed Kant or style to get information but not even when he began to sleep with style and accepted to be her boyfriend I thought it was a cover but no! And the stupid plan of this episode 7 of their words to fall in love but please... Anyway. (It’s really rough but it is written on the moment, I continue for Joong and of course salutes the efforts of the crew)
I started the drama and finished episode 1. I have nothing against Davika and I’m not an expert in Thai history…
No emotion, condensed of historical facts (probably), poorly executed. Stupidity of characters, wasted acting, wasted script. The characters I liked were Khem and Tanyong but the rest was either crap or they were extras that we could have developed and only used to a single almost unfinished arc. The empress had no charisma, no wisdom, no intelligence. The last one was supposed to be emotional symbolizing their toxic love but it was nothing, no emotion but wind. Anyway I’m really disappointed with this drama that makes me waste a huge amount of time.
Is it ok to say I don’t like the character of Jeongnyeon? I’m at episode 6 and I don’t know... She exhausts me when she is the main character. Of course I like Kim Taeri and it has nothing to do with her acting but Jeongnyeon really tires me.
I started the drama and finished episode 1. I have nothing against Davika and I’m not an expert in Thai history but why take a mixed race to play a historical role especially for a role of a queen/ empress. Except if the empress was mixed (I don’t know 🤔) Ayutthaya it’s still 1300-1700 or is it just a fiction and I make a big deal about it? (I don’t know but it bothers me a little)
In episode 8, I found Hiroto’s reaction to be selfish, as if he didn’t care what his sister had endured even though I understand his point of view and the fact that he is concerned about Lion but I was a little disappointed with his reaction.
The drama was good, I really liked both arcs but the last arc from episode 26 to the last episode was not my cup of tea, I skipped a lot of parts, infact I buried myself in what could well happen, I was watching and waiting for the end just for Gao Qiqang, from the beginning to the end it was my favorite even if I liked LiXiang too. Personally I was ready to score an 8.5 but he will put an 8 just for Gao Qiqang otherwise it was a 7 because of this end. I would have liked an end where Gao Qiqang is not caught but that he really kills these enemies even AnXin if possible or even that he is dead than to see him humiliate himself in a trial and in a prisoner’s outfit. Personally An Xin I liked him well in the first act but without more it is in the second that he started to beat me a little on my nerves. Short Gao Qiqang my life, and congratulations to Zhang SongWen.
I don’t understand, the deal with Xu Jiang was already over, why go to uncle tai to really dive into gangs? Or did I not understand Gao Qiqang’s motivation?
I’m in episode 11 and I LIKE the chemistry between An Xin and Gao Qiqang, I see them as brothers, eternal friends or even I ship them. I know that everything will separate them and really oppose them but this kind of relationship between them is too moving.
Ps: I also like the chemistry between An Xin and Li Xiang (his colleague).
I didn’t expect it to be so good. I had a real moment and the chemistry between the two was really natural, like real friends. I really liked their distinct behaviors. Anyway, I can’t wait to watch the 2. I give it a 8.5/10
