That scene was all I needed to see concerning him. Any man who can appreciate something so delicately beautiful tells you who he is at his core in spite of his hardness. The scene, even his fascination with the merfolk mating song. He has this deep sense of appreciation and respect for beautiful things and even those who had to fight or are fighting to survive the level of respect and honor he carries concerning these things is unmatched. He has a deeper sense of understanding everything around him but is considered the villain while he is the most thoughtful of all. Him an CX are to me the most thoughtful and forthright very unselfish.

The way I cried watching CX cry today and swallow his pain. Goodness.

I think they did it on purpose. One they GOT to know the white haired character affect is a thing in anime, dramas and so forth. They knew exactly what they were doing. No slight to the other guys they are handsome but Tan Jianci. Come on man!! That man fine without trying. He sings, he dances, he's got swagger, he's charismatic, his smile is ridiculous. They looked at him and said yup he's our XL and that white hair is gonna drive the world mad and it is. Let's talk about the mask and the white hair. Or him with the black hair as Fangfeng Bei with the hooded black cloak sitting on that daggum horse with the bow and arrow. Every scenario we have seen him in they covered his scenes in this deep intense longing and passion, they created the set that way, the lighting, everything.

They set us up. They made it impossible for us to hate him and drew us the heck in. We were already fighting for our lives in the strands of that white hair. I know I was fighting through them strands and that mask and that smile and that bad boy thing.. Ugh... Help I'm drowning... I'm sinking... Let's not even talk about the 37 years of him swimming to the depths with her in that clam, sitting by her side, giving up one of his lives. Oh my heart... They set us up.... All the way up.

I'm so in love with him I'm mad about anyone else sharing the screen with him except CX he's the only other one worthy... My heart..

Come on now and make it plain!!! The two people who showed the most unselfish mature love in regards to the FL are CX and XL.. Let's go back to his first words to her about the fiancee, he was like give me 15 years to break an engagement. Sir.. I understand time was not a thing for them because they're deities but sir not oh I'm gonna handle this right away. Not let me clear my suspicions about her because I know she don't love me. Not let me handle it. 15 years??? Sir you got me all the way turned round and messed up. Why pine away for 15 years for you to figure out your women problems.

That whole protect her reputation foolery. She apparently did not care about her reputation to be running around banging his brother so why should I be held accountable and responsible for guarding her virtue. She wasn't virtuous. Therefore I'm going to be decisive and quick about mind. Grandma, I got proof that this woman is sleeping around. I won't marry her and I don't care about her reputation. Let the man she been banging figure that out for her. Period. To me Jing was more selfish than pure. He's a sweet but honestly I think old boy too much trauma to understand what it meant to pursue and protect what you love. I mean if he loved her like that then don't try to hold on to her and make her suffer heartache because you can't get your business in order. Protect her silently like CX and XL even at your own emotional hurt like them. They didn't want to hurt or see her hurt in any way. Let me stop.. Lol. Because the more I think about Jing. All I can do is say the character is weak. I love Deng Wei tho with his beautiful self and them cute ears. I love big ears his are adorable.

That's all we want. Just acknowledge him as the one, the only, the best and we're good. We need them to do an adaptation of the epilogue. We want all of it put out there... We need her looking in that mirror to see all the man he is and all the man he would have been and more to her.. I mean come on, can we talk about how he took her to see that view when she was in the mortal world. They walked on water together. He immediately knew she was a woman but even with the way she was looking he treated her with kindness. Now he was rough but still it was the little things he began to do. Ohhhh and the offense he took to her not giving him her neck anymore when he needed to be healed. Dude was so hurt and offended but respected her. At no point was he ever obligated to be that guy but he was... Whew I get riled up every time.

His being mean was comical to me. The tossing her off the bird. Gosh there are so many things about this character.. I'm gonna go back and rewatch his episodes because yeah I'm in love with him. Tan Jianci has a new fan in me but I only can see him in white hair like every drama modern and historical, the white hair must make an appearance.

Come on with the come on. You said it and it had to be said. Jing would not have stood a chance is XL really dug his feet in and pursued her because girl was on the hook and ready to bite.. All he had to do was say the word because his love was indeed unselfish. He had no motives. As powerful as he is he didn't need her for anything, he would gain nothing or lose anything. His love was pure even as hateful as he could be but we know why. He's a complicated character but his love was so pure and he made decisive actions. Jing was/is weak. And XL's presence. I'm sorry there's something about a mysterious brooding overbearing man with that something.. The walk he walks up on her is enough to make a girl weak. Not to mention he is SLAP YO Momma FINE!!!! Ahhhhhhh....

Where do I sign? Where in China must I go.. I will fly out gladly for this... And we need no one but the beautiful Tan Jianci to fulfill our every whim with this character. We have demands. The white hair is a must. We will allow the dark hair when he is Fangfeng Bei. We'll allow it. But we want him on that bird, greeting us in the morning, putting us to sleep at night. We need him dancing us in the under belly of the underground.. We need him stat!!! Lol.

Listen here. The white hair had me doomed at the poster. And then TikTok edits before I even started watching. I said self I don't know who that man is or what place in line he is of the men but he's my choice period. Lol. The hair was already on the case. The hair said don't look at anyone but him no matter what and the hair was right... lol. Listen I don't think I'll be silent on this. I'm demanding a rewrite or a side story or something. Give us what we want XL in all his glory being the man we know he is..

Yes the nuances of his character. When I tell you Mr. Tan Jianci did not come to play with us or hold back on his portrayal of this character. My man showed out in this role leaving us with bitter sweet lingering, questions of what if and why.. Not only that for those of us who are down bad for the character he put his whole weight on this character as if to say if there's any question about it this is why there's a whole epilogue dedicated to me because no one could touch my sincerity. No one could match my devotion. Lord got my heart racing right now just talking about him... That man!! XL for the win... And yes them expressive eyes. That's the thing that made Cang Xuan my second choice.

There's so much to him. The young guy portraying him had me feeling all the pain, angst, loss, heartbreak and determination of the character. We know why he's doing what he's doing. We on the outside looking have our own opinions but he's never waivered from his promise and the young man portraying him has made me feel every piece of his conflict, turmoil, resolve, jealousy, passion and all that.

His momma said give this flower to your one and only, the woman you love - he one upped his momma on that an covered a whole mountain top with that flower for the FL. I mean I was torn between him and XL for a while. Jing just. I love Deng Wei too and I was so excited but in comparison to the sacrifices of XL and CX.. He had me at the forest scene when he covered her with his body in the fire. I was like okay okay you go boy and then he let me down. Like XL and CX were determined to move heave and earth to save her. He's like let me just kill myself then the whole situation with that chick. Like do some more digging sir you can't be that dense or weak. It's like I knew he has it in him. Ughh..

But I am down bad for XL so nothing nobody does will ever be enough to take his slot.. lol.

Sooo I’ve settled on my choice it’s Xiang Liu hands down. He is the most unforgettable love and the most reliable in the sense that nothing or no one else occupied his heart. She was it for him. He proved himself to be that One and Only love that would have no side chicks no nothing. All his devotion he poured into her and just imagine how much deeper it can get.

I love Cang Xuan he’s easily my second choice. His devotion and commitment was to create a safe world for her but that choice meant he couldn’t balance his love and the world he want to build for her.

Jing he’s sweet and the sentimental choice but my man just was soft in some aspects. He could be firm but I felt he needed to stand firmer on some things that’s all.

My heart will always be with XL but hey I was biased from the beginning because of the white hair. White haired characters blind me every time 🤣🤣🤣
