I have to say, I felt very bored the whole time I was watching the drama. The gore was entertaining but overall, the drama didn't feel very memorable. Ending was pretty good though, I agree.
Had a good laugh while reading your review. You were spot on about the filler scenes in episodes 7&8. I watched them in one sitting today and was not impressed. I love the lead actors so I don’t want to drop the drama, but so far it’s not turning out exactly how I wanted it to.
I honestly started watching It's Okay to Not be Okay with the expectation that the female lead will not change.…
I had the same thoughts! It's cute and all for a KDrama, but I'd imagine having to be around Ko Mun Young in real life would not be a cakewalk, especially with the way she constantly argued with Sang Tae.
You do know that mr.queen is a comedy and mr.sunshine is a tragedy... It's like comparing two dramas that are…
The comedy genre does not necessarily mean than nothing bad is allowed to happen. This is also a heavily political drama, and by including war themes, they already showed us that they were not against including dark themes in the story. A drama can be a comedy and include death and angst at the same time - this is not a foreign concept in Korean dramas that claim to be rom coms (Just look at Angel’s Last Mission:Love, for instance). Mr Sunshine was used as an example because of the similar-ish time period, not because of the genre. I never intended to compare the dramas but rather show how a drama set in the Joseon period can be done well :)
I agree with your review completely. Some people even call this boring and unpleasant drama a "masterpiece"? HOW?…
Gosh, I'm somewhat ocd and I have had to force myself through it because I am completely unable to drop any drama I start. I realize how ridiculous that makes me seem haha
