First Impression:
This drama is very flat.
In terms of acting skills; no one is above anyone. It’s average at best.
This drama is also made up of a lot of supporting casts seen in other dramas. I guess the production house agreed to give them a chance; which is rather nice.
In terms of visual and cinematography; the imageries, The intricate details and CGI are well refined.
I do really really really love the entrance OST music piece and the final credits OST song. It has Ever Night 1 and The Guardian’s vibes. It is very enchanting.
Side note:
The male lead here had played the younger male lead in Noble Aspirations in 2014 - 2016. That was about 5 years ago; why he still look like he is 12 years old?

The over-acting and the under-acting with some sparks of normality in between are just atrocious and exasperating in HS.

As for Sun Yi, she is unattractively too skinny. She is literally bones and skin. She is the definition of a “Chinese Anorexic Actress.”
I always feel uncomfortable watching her acting.

That “Buy 1 and get 1 more for free” hairstyle... not many actors can work that unattractive hairstyle.

Except Kai and BinBin, I have not seen any other actors whom look cool with that weird combo hairstyle.

Since NQ, himself, was a child when he rescued her as a baby and simultaneously grew up with her together; therefore, it is understandable.

The director’s peculiar adaptation of this season’s TONE feels inappropriate and taboo. Not the evolution of their relationship into love from the original novel.

And this exactly what pissed me off the most. With the outstanding calibers of all those actors; how does one manage to destroy a series like that?

The Ha Wuque’s character is overbearing, annoying and somehow of a dumb ass. I do understand that he was raised in an excessively restrained closed quarter but that can’t make you that gullible and stupid.
I have watched this actor in a number of dramas so far; he always has the same impenetrable hood face expression.
I wonder... Is he acting or that is the way he really is?
