Oh well, without Leo… They completely lost a die hard fan of Nirvana in Fire. I was overly excited to watch Leo in this 3rd production. It would have been a wonderful homage to the original. And Leo is such a mature, all-around and versatile actor. Plus, one of the manliest young Chinese actors around.
The production should have been retitled, “Unhanged.” Every single character in this show is out of their minds. Absolutely none of them is remotely likable. If that was the point the writers were trying to showcase… Then, great job there.
Fyi: Kim You Jung portrays this narcissist/egotistical/sociopath/psychopath character remarkably well.
i think it’s sad that much of the audience did not understand what this show set out to say underneath the romance…
It is an extremely well-executed, well-written, and well-cast production. Full of metaphors, silver linings, and innuendos. The well-choreographed action scenes and the mature romance are simply the cherries on this cake.
I SIMPLY LOVED IT. Reminiscent of “Healer” and “K” but much more adult-oriented… Much more mature. We don't often see Kang Dong Won on the small screen; however, when he does… He slays it.
The rating is undeniably wrong. It should be significantly higher.
One of the rarest and best modern Chinese productions that I have watched… IN MANY MANY MANY YEARS. It is reminiscent of a great classic K-drama thriller. Thrilling, intriguing, and on point.
To be clear… Ever Night season 1 Because season 2 is not worth talking about. Just a very bad dream. Very bad…
If I remembered correctly back then, Arthur had a schedule conflict… Supposedly… If you ask me, they could have simply waited for him instead of starting the production of that second season of EN.
Anyway, the conflict was with “Legend of Awakening;” and that was also not worth talking about.
OMG, then two eps later, both leads again believed and followed the same evil "friend" who showed jealousy…
I am with you. I love, love, love Arthur Chen. I have adored his acting since his shubby little kid days. However, this storyline is simply overhyped. On pause indefinitely. Just waiting for “Love beyond the Grave.”

It is a hidden gem of 2025.

THAT WAS REALLY BAD.
FOR ME, THAT WAS A DISASTER.
2 BIG NAMES. PRODUCTION WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Me: “A fantastic cast and… AN ABSOLUTELY DISASTROUS PRODUCTION🤨.”
The first time I saw him; I thought he was Arthur Chen.
That is so weird.

I was pausing it to continue later.
Now, I am seriously thinking of pausing it indefinitely.
I will just wait for “Love beyond the Grave.”
Thanks for the 411.
Did I miss something so far?
I paused after episode 18; I can’t recall that Feng Qi’s character.
