My God, finally finished. The eight longest episodes of my life. I've watched some bad/horrible K-dramas, but…
I am actually one of the very few or the only one who actually adored “When the Stars Gossip.” Contrary to the vast majority, I fully enjoyed watching it. Cried like a darned baby.
This is one of those unique cases where it looks and sounds mighty great on paper… Great cast… Intriguing storyline… THE WORK! But when it comes to the actual televised production, we are left scratching our heads🤨, bewildered by how horrible the finished product is.
Wow… Episode 18; and yes, I am having trouble investing my time watching it. - The stoic and nonsensical demeanor of the ML is certainly alluring, considering his tragic upbringing. - The FL’s attributes or should I say, her non-attributes come out a bit caricaturish and dum-dum… Most of the time. - The romance is good but feels rather stagnant… Too much of it… (Never thought that I would want less romance in a xianxia production). - As for the ML’s incompetent reptile aka, the foolish black serpent… I just don't trust him.
She irritates me.Both in the Donghua and in the live action. I get so irritated whenever she is around him. She…
You should. But it is so so very long. I like the Bilibili version better. I paused at episode 137. Because of the live action, I got motivated to go back to it again.
I hope there isn't a strong romance theme in the next season. The grandmaster is way too embarrassing. Slept together…
She irritates me. Both in the Donghua and in the live action. I get so irritated whenever she is around him. She is a calamity. A very ancient calamity.
Real truth here. I have been following and watching this Donghua for a long while now and there are a lot of those versions… A lot… AND SO MANY EPISODES… This live action was excellent. One of Yang Yang’s many best.
The rating should be higher than 8.4 The rating is not doing it any justice. It should be 8.8 or higher.
Please next part, please. Meanwhile, I am back on the Donghua.
3 episodes in…And I am not sure about this production either.FL is not likable. She has the arrogance of a silver-spoon—entitled…
And your point is? Her character is still arrogant and entitled, just like before the 3 years… before the murders. His character is acting more like a martyr without any concrete evidence to prove his innocence. Neither of their characters is doing it for me.
I love a good Demon Hubter storyline. For example, “The Demon Hunter's Romance” hit all the right notes for me. This one, on the other hand… I am not so sure. Started it because of XuXu, might drop it because of the FL character. I think because I do not like cats (Totally not a cat person); her constant coquetry irritates me. Wish she were anything else but a cat.
3 episodes in… And I am not sure about this production either. FL is not likable. She has the arrogance of a silver-spoon—entitled female character, completely blinded by hatred. ML shows up 3 years later with practically no evidence to prove his innocence. Basically, playing the martyr character. I am calling him the “O.J. Simpson’s glove character.”
With whom may I ask?
Contrary to the vast majority, I fully enjoyed watching it. Cried like a darned baby.

Seriously! What the hell!

It has been a very long long journey. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I heard that it is all the buzz in the Donghua community right now.
Unfortunately

Enjoy it you do.
Arthur is doing his Arthur’s thing…
Giving us second-hand embarrassment through the screen☺️🔥🔥🔥
I am like… “Kid, I have watched you in diapers.”😅😅😅

Could not finish it
No substance.
Only skin deep.
See you at the next one.
I am currently watching “ When Destiny Brings the Demon - Long for Fish.”
Can’t wait to read your review.
Exactly my point; for 3 whole years and these were his only clues?
Some genius detective….🤨
I went in completely blind; assuming that what it was😅

Truly skin deep.
Even the romantic scenes were dull.
