There are reasons why some thriller and revenge dramas have gone viral with such high ratings:1. Vincenzo: The…
I have to agree with you. Me, I find the writing overly complicated for no valid reasons. Most of the characters are weird and some of them are just not convincing in their roles… Such as the Sun’s character - the female psycho killer… That actress is simply not convincing, at all. All in all, Again My Life and The Devil Judge were better written than Adamas; even though, their endings were a bit of a let down. After, The Defendent and Dr. John… Adamas feels very much boring. The twins are simply not exciting enough to keep me interested.
PS: The writing is definitely not a masterpiece as a lot of people are saying.
Try watching Side Story Fox Volant. That is what true wuxia is. I haven’t watched LLTG but that drama definitely…
Thanks. Side Story Fox Volant was on my list because I very much enjoy Qin Jun Jie’s acting style. Just waiting for the completion.
As for AOS, because technically it is a fantasy Sageuk… I expected the dragging; actually I expected even a lot more. I am part of the few s who have no issues with keeping nor removing the actress from part 1…
News flash for you… A historical fiction drama can also be a Wuxia… As long as, there are martial artists and experts in it. Examples: Nirvana in Fire 1 & 2. The ML and his subordinates in LLTG certainly are martial artists and experts; even though , they are from the military and not from the pugilist world.
Second, why are you complaining about me supposedly and apparently complaining? It seems to me that you are the one wasting your time. If I don’t like a comment, I would simply not waste my time responding to that comment. It is that simple.
Why an unfavorable point of view is automatically categorized as a complaint? This forum is not just for favorable point of views. It is a free forum where ideas and views on a particular televised productions can be exchanged.
There are many dramas that I didn’t enjoy at first; however, after a second look or chance… My initial opinions of them differed from the original ones. Recent example: Love Between Fairy and Devil.
If you appreciate quality of acting, then IS certainly excell those you mention above.
Oh I very much beg to differ. In terms of quality, production value, well- manicured writing, well-synchronized scenes/sequences and effortless acting skills and that is from the entire cast… “Love like the Galaxy” wins hands down. Then, that is to be expected from a Wuxia production.
As for the production value and general acting; both LBFD and IS are on the same level, for me. However, when it comes to storyline, well-synchronized scenes and the deliveries from the 2 FLs… LBFD wins, for me. Even though, the baby-voice of the LBFD’s FL was annoying at first.
Funny how personal perceptions work… “Immortal Samsara”was so incredibly boring to me that I had to pause it. Then I started watching “Love Between Fairy and Devil” which I also found mediocre in the early episodes. However, it got pretty darned good as the episodes progressed. The interesting thing, Cheng Yi is a favorite of mine… Dylan Wang has never been one of my favorites, at least until now. I am back watching “Immortal Samsara” but I am literally forcing myself to do so.
I have been spoiled this summer… They gave me a great Wuxia… “Love like the Galaxy.” They gave me a very entertaining and a very endearing Xianxia… “Love Between Fairy and Devil.” And let us not forget the one and only Xianxia/Wuxia/Sageuk/Everything in between and outside of the box… “Alchemy of Souls.”
So now, nothing is satisfying to me. Certainly not “Immortal Samsara.”

Now, it’s Adamas…
Very disappointing.

Maybe some modern one…
Thanks.
I do love me a good Wuxia.
I might just fall for it as I did for LBFD.
😅😅😅
But I am the first to admit that I can be wrong with my initial impressions.

And also thank you for your clarification on your comment because the impression that came out of it was certainly a bit abrasive.
It is a matter of personal perceptions.
Some people do not understand those nuances.
