Are you even new amd Don't know the entire process, if you're not new you cab already figure out when possible…
I was just scrolling through the comments, and I'm just really appalled by how your attitude has changed over course of 6 months. You went from asking people about this show, to telling people not to assume the airing date, and now you're here acting like a know it all and giving people an approximate airing date in a really rude way, in which the airing date you've approximated (late 2026/early 2027) falls into the timespan that you'd refuted a few comments below this one AND the one that you're commenting on.
I came here looking for info and instead witnessed a person's change instead.
Started episode 4 while eating and ended up laughing for 20 minutes straight and was left with a cold meal so don't watch this while you're eating LOL. I still go back and watch every spy game because it's freaking hilarious man they need a "don't gamble" PSA lmao
Episodes 4-8 will enter my archives of the funniest shit I've watched, it was literally the perfect cast of people, and also episode 9 during the mafia game I was crying from tears. Also the editing omg the effects were off the charts HAHAHA it's so wacky in a way that fits so darn well I LOVE IT I need more of episode 4's cast oml
This man's filmography is actually goated! He picks great scripts and is such a wonderful actor.
I've finished The Guest, The King of Pigs, My Perfect Stranger, and Seoul Busters—loved every single one!! I've rewatched The Guest around twice, and I'll probably do the same to Seoul Busters. (That's coming from a person who's only rewatched like 3 dramas ever)
Started Find Me in Your Memory recently and it's been an absolute delight. I can't wait for his next works
Idk much about the director but the scenes shown in the trailer looks pretty nice. The writer actually has a pretty…
From my knowledge the original writer had planned for the series to focus more on the career of a forensic artist, so he didn't really want future seasons to still focus so heavily around Shen Yi, and wanted to introduce other characters and eventually make it into like a 'Under the Skin' huge universe. I can see what he wants, but I'm too emotionally attached to Shen Yi and Du Cheng's team to care about anybody else .😭 I would love for this series to be more like God's Quiz, where we follow the same unchanging team every season.
Also a thing that left a really huge impression on me was when he said that in a mystery drama, who the actor was didn't really matter... honestly I was a little bit disappointed when I saw that, since I feel like he'd undermined the amount of life that actors bring to thosse characters, and kind of discredits the entire brilliant season 1 cast that had a huge hand in its success :c
Anywaysss this doesn't really matter anymore, onward to the future while hoping S2 won't be a disappointment like season 2s usually are 😂😂
Diferent writer, different director how could it be the same? Hopes a bit dashed.
Idk much about the director but the scenes shown in the trailer looks pretty nice. The writer actually has a pretty good reputation within the circle. His previous works did have a darker tone but his 'Peace Hotel' was praised for its tight logic and mysteries, and I think he won an award for it as well. ALSO I would like to point out that there were 2 other screenwriters last season and I think they stayed? I'm not sure abt this but if they stayed I think this season's gonna be solid asf.
Seeing how they didn't add any unnecessary characters—— THANK GOD because the amount of rumours saying that they wanted to add a female lead killed my hopes thoroughly back then—— and instead chose to build upon season one by diving deeper into season one's characters (at least it seemed that way from the trailers) it feels incredibly promising. Having all the actors and production team stay the same is a huge buff since it's a easy bridge between S1 and S2, all the art will likely be as gorgeous as S1, and since they're fantastic actors it'll be unlikely that the characters will be too OOC if anything goes wrong.
Ideally it's okay for this season to be different as long as the core of the show is still there, and honestly it even has potential to be better if it improves upon the crime solving aspect of season 1. As a thriller fan I totally don't mind if they amp up the thrill and mystery factor a notch heheheh. I've also heard of the original writer's viewpoints and visions for the next seasons and surprisingly I didn't really agree with him anyways sooo whatever 🤷♀️
Anyways we'll have to wait for show to air before we know if S2 will be trash or legendary 🫠
Judging from the trailer the vibes are pretty similar to S1(just that it's leaning more towards thriller), which is suuuper promising. One of the things I'm really looking forward to in S2 is them exploring more of Shen Yi's past as well as personality. Please be good ahhhhhhhhhh 😭🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Finished Hikaru no Go and Pegasus recently, and I think I've just found gold because he's such a versatile actor! I really feel like he has some kind of magical powers that shares the emotions the character feels, because boi was watching Shi Guang cry the most heartwrenching experience ever.
Pegasus was a drama that really allowed his acting to shine with the 2 souls in one body. There was never a time where I mixed up Zhang Chi (aka Chi Zhen Dong) and Lin Zhen Dong, even when CZD was pretending to be LZD, and vice versa. Plus I heard that around 10% of his lines were added in by himself, whih just shows how much he really understands his character.
He's still really young, yet he's already such a strong actor. Can't wait to see how much more he'll grow, and how many more great works he'll create!
oh?? This movie was actually filmed?? but not with this cast, though, well not Zhang Xincheng, at least, he definitely…
Okay double checked and yep he's not in the cast lol. I think the reason why he's in there was because there were rumours of him being in this show a few years ago. Yep I'll go and edit it and check the rest of the cast while I'm at it. The rest of the cast shouldn't be far off 😂😂
Filming for this movie wrapped up a looong time ago, before the filming for the drama wrapped up actually (they finished filming this in March 2022, while the drama finished filming in May 2022).
I think it finally got approval recently, so if everything goes well we might have hopes of seeing it this year, or 2025. I'M WAITINGGG
To be fair it's the English translation that decided to add "love" into its name. The Chinese title still means…
Some of the native titles are really beautiful, like the original for 'Love Never Fails'. 'When Spring Ends, I'll See You Again' is actually a really nice translation, and it becoming 'Love Never Fails' just feels...... so cheap...
But even though the titles may be hard to translate, 'Eternal Love' was definitely just lazy, 'Love and Redemption' had 0 relations with its original title, etc etc. So most of then just made up a completely new title, which also feels kind of disrespectful because it goes against what the author originally wanted to convey with the title? Oh but I quite like 'Love Me, Love My Voice' because they incorported the drama's essence into the title, while the original was kinda meh. (I got carried away and ended up rambling about so many titles 😭)
And yes! Although a lot of these stories do have some sort of love in them, it does get misleading. 'Fighting for Love' has a native title that leans more towards military than love, so the new title kind of shouts different.
But honestly, even within the drama itself, many official translations also leave more to be desired (my recent experience with iQiyi translations got me scratching my head). Maybe they don't care as much because their target audience is ultimately the mainland people and not international people, or maybe the platforms just wanna keep their spending for translations to the bare minimum—— Now I'm just thinking too much into this.
What we've learnt from this is don't trust the titles too much? Lol Idk.
(Sorry I've got so much to say about this topic because I occasionally do fan translations and stuff as a side hobby hhhh 🫠)

Oh damn, I only recognise one of them. Must be the genre I tend to lol. Anyways, I decided to do a quick Google search found out that NONE of them had love in their respective chinese titles, and 95% didn't have a dime to do with love. It turns out I knew more than 1 of the mentioned dramas but only in their native names. Tragic. I never noticed that english translations like to slap a love on the title and call it a day, which is interesting!
I suspect it's because of the way chinese is structured, which makes it poetic in mandarin but awkward when translated to english, so the easy way is to substitute it with love. For some cases it does work better (maybe for The Emperor's Love? Cuz 'Who Dares to Touch the King's Woman' would've ended up being a wild name hahaha), but in this case I do also prefer it to have kept the more literal 'Seven Nights of Snow' as compared to 'Snowy Night: Timeless Love'. It's, a little easier to say out loud.

Also my vote for cell 8 goes to the husband. He feels sus.
