Cheng Yi totally ate it despite the complexity of his character. It was the first drama I've seen of him (I don't usually like period costume dramas) and I've never been more impressed. I still can't unsee Li Lianhua whenever I look at him despite how different they are in every aspect lol. Was thinking of starting Love and Redemption.

Fair enough. I quite enjoyed seeing Li Qian & Bao Ning tgt on screen, after all the weird forced meetings passed they were pretty cute tgt lol. It was kinda the only thing I was holding onto in this drama and tbf I feel like they did the most out of that blender script 🧎♀️
Thought Joseph was pretty natural, especially in all those injury scenes (not in a weird way). The only part that was kinda jarring to me was how the voice and face didn't rly match cuz voiceover. Hopefully you'll change your mind about him later on in the show? 😆👍

Yep! I feel like he always "lives" his character (especially his eyes, they tell a thousand stories), and the scripts he chooses are always really interesting. A very promising actor! He loves Wuxia and I love watching him in a Wuxia but I kinda want (out of my selfishness) to see more of him in modern setting dramas because I swear, he kills the looks. Especially him in a suit. 😂
In my imaginations in S2 the trio sends the Professor to jail and Li Jia overcomes his past. Honestly one of the things I was pretty curious about is if Dark Li Jia had gone about doing his thing in our Li Jia's appearance, how jarring would that have been!! I want to see it.

I have watched Bad and Crazy, really loved it! A super fun watch. I've never seen DID portrayed in dramas the way they did, it was quite interesting~ One of the things I really liked was how they handled K's departure. Truly a king 😊
But Hua Er's gonna be a competitor in their restaurant business isn't she, can already imagine how jealous she's gonna be when she found out that the Wu guy went to Man Er and Shen Nuo's restaurant instead of her one... ☠️
