A drama doesn’t need to be that unique to have high ratings. It’s simply because people genuinely enjoy every bit of it without the need to have heavy plot.
Most people love it because of its simplicity, its mixed tropes that bring them back to the nostalgia of older Kdramas.
I think this is one of the dramas that live up to their hype.

Still can’t find which are the cliché parts of this drama. The cute and sweet little scenes between the leads (e.g. FL falling into ML’s arms)? But aren’t those part of romcoms? Other dramas have them too. The whole storylines, however, I don’t think it’s cliché.
