i'm probably a minority here, but it was a drag. underwhelming and poor writing in every sense of the way. i can't…
Why would you forget why she was protecting Sunjae? First, it was because he “saved” her when she was trying to kill herself. That’s the main reason she became his fan in the first place.
Then gradually the reason turns into LOVE. It’s actually as simple as that.
Many people enjoy this drama because it shows that true love exists, and they show it in simple ways/things just like older Kdramas. Old school, but close to hearts.
Usually, if I really love a drama, I would give it a full and long review on MDL.
But somehow my brain can’t think of the right words for Lovely Runner. Full of thoughts, but out of words.
Well it’s mainly due to my lack of English vocabulary LOL. Whatever I write won’t do justice to this drama. And nothing would change if I posted my review because there are already so many good reviews here and on other sites.
Seeing those, I feel genuinely happy and grateful to have been in a great fandom. It feels so right to be part of Subeoms. 💘
How can the fandom moves on from the drama when the actor himself hasn’t moved on from the drama??? 😌
Wooseok seems to be in withdrawal syndrome just like Subeoms. He didn’t lie when he said Lovely Runner script is the best script he has ever received. 🥹🥲
I don’t need the villain’s backstory. I’m super glad the writer did not take that path, like most dramas with villains as their side plot. We just need to accept that he’s just a psycho who doesn’t need valid reasons to kill people. They did not prolong the conflict till the final half. Phew 😮💨
And as much as I love the 2nd ML, I’m also glad that writer & director did not include his backstory, as it would only take up the main couple’s storylines like it did in most romcom dramas, creating unnecessary toxic love triangle and a waste of time.
Those are only some of the points that make Lovely Runner fresh (like Sunjae 🤭) and different from other Kdramas. So I don’t know what’s the “cliché” or “dull” part in this drama that some people talk about.
Lovely Runner is not totally perfect when it comes to plot as it has some plot holes, but those little plot holes didn’t ruin the overall storylines for me.
Seeing other shows with “time travel” as the plot device, I personally think Lovely Runner was written beautifully, ALMOST perfect and definitely did not come out of “lazy” writing.
I don’t know how LR could turn out better than it did because from the start to the end, I couldn’t ask for more.
Being a Kdrama watcher for 13 years, that’s one of the best, if not the best, endings I’ve ever got. It’ll definitely stay in my top 3. ❤️💙💛

This is the kind of show that we just need to simply enjoy without having heavy thoughts.

Define “overrated”, and give detailed reasons why you think Lovely Runner is overrated.
Jk I know it’s about opinions but some are questionable tho. 😌
