And there are some people who said

“He killed her? RED FLAG!” 🤦🏻‍♀️

He rejected FL because he thought he wasn’t good enough for her, which is a typical excuse for rejecting someone, at least here in my country.

Then he grew some connection with FL when he moved to the ground floor of her house - the flowers that she planted for him, the welcome dinner at his house.

Then he found out ML was approaching her, whom at that time he thought was in a relationship with SFL. So he felt worried for FL, and a hint of jealousy. Then he started to like FL too, slowly.

What I like about this drama is the love triangle trope doesn’t affect the main CP’s relationship in a bad way, but it brings their relationship forward.

And the writer/director never tries to give viewers Second Lead Syndrome (SLS) by shoving SML into the spotlight, unlike some Kdramas (e.g. “Start-Up” & “School 2015”).

This drama has many layers to its storylines & characters that need some level of understanding. Things that some viewers said they don’t understand about and ‘messy’, are what I find not that hard to understand and not messy as what’s been claimed.

And he found out that his girlfriend had been cheating on him before the first kiss with FL.

That’s why he told the his gf “I’ve been swayed”, and he couldn’t control his feelings anymore (in fact, he had been holding it for as long as he could remember). He wasn’t even in his clear mind.

But the moment before the first kiss, his realisation that his feelings for FL are real & stronger, hit him hard. So when FL asked to meet to return the box, adn when she said his gf slapped her and that they should stop getting involved with each other, he couldn’t control himself anymore and he kissed her.

So there’s nothing wrong with their first kiss.

Thank you. Yes, I also watched their videos shared by Netflix YT channel. They have so much fun on set. Their level of communication (and comfort) when interacting with each other and production team is very heartwarming to see. I noticed that Rowoon and Bo Ah often share same brain cells. The age gap is even invisible. 😆

Everything the gardener did regarding the black magic was to rear the main couple apart - make ML’s illness come back, bring them to remember their past lives tragic events

Ikr. Atm, I can either rewatch it from episode 1 or rewatch older Kdramas. I can’t accept any new storylines for now.

Agreed. I can’t ever see it as a ‘review’. Oh, a ‘trashy review’, perhaps.

I think the comedy is still great, but it doesn’t feel th same as S1. But still great, even as a stand-alone. Seonho’s character is hilarious too.

Yes I personally think that DWY is THE best 2023 Kdrama so far. I think it already dragged me out of my 2-year Kdrama slump. And it’s the only thing that keeps me sane waiting for Wednesday. 😂

OMG Welcome to Waikiki is sooo funny and iconic. I like both seasons, especially S1. But S2, Lee Yikyung & Kim Seonho made me stay.

The reason I couldn’t rate HCCC a 10 is because the the storylines after they start dating felt flat and didn’t keep me feeling like continuing anymore.
