I’m just sharing a theory shared by a viewer here 👇🏼
In their past lives, ML was arranged to marry the princess (SFL), but he was in love with FL, so he took her with him and ran away together. But they were chased by the royal guards, maybe for treason or something. Then FL took a blow meant for him, and died in his arms.
That’s where ML regretted and blamed himself through his entire life for being the reason FL died. So it may not only be a curse per se, but their present life is also a chance for them to find each other, be together and have their happy ending against all odds.
I really like him too. he's hilarious and as you mentioned i love the banter he has with SY haha
Glad I’m not alone! IMO, the three of them would be fun and quirky as a group of friends.
ML - A cold and grumpy guy on the outside but funny and cute at the same time FL - A shy, awkward but lovely girl SML - An awkward and introverted guy who is not funny but always tries to deliver bad jokes
poor guy though... they were acting all in love in front of him. Must've hurt him a lot. And the way he asked…
It’s okay. I believe he deserves someone who can click with him. With FL, they just don’t have spark. And I’m pretty sure what he feels towards FL is not love. Same like what FL used to feel towards him.
This is one of the reasons I like this drama. Although there’s a love triangle, but the writer/director doesn’t try to shove SML into the spotlight to the point that viewers suffer from Second Lead Syndrome (SLS), like what happened with some dramas, e.g. “Start-Up” and “School 2015”. 🫢
I know some viewers hate SML in ep 11, but IDK why I can’t hate him? He’s cute in this episode.
A bear 🐻 a giraffe 🦒 and an otter 🦦
What an adorable man 🤣
Maybe if I took his attitude seriously in this ep, I’d also be mad at him but I just can’t. His banter with ML kinda entertained me. And him being in the scenes doesn’t affect or ruin the main CP’s relationship so I’m fine with it. 🤷🏻♀️
PS: I need to watch his other dramas soon because he captured my heart in both “Crazy Love” and this drama as the SML.
I finally want to see a romance drama without a murder plot again!
Me too! I know Zhao Lusi has amazing chemistry with all her co-actors but with Chen Zheyuan, there’s this something sparkly between them and I don’t know how to explain. They can be besties and lovers at the same time. 💕
Haha, reading your comments - as a newcomer (you) to this drama - and a fellow fan of "Crazy Love" - I'm glad…
Thank you for the reply, Kathryn! I was kinda late to join the club but seeing you and other “Crazy Love”fam gathering here is what motivates me to stay. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even visit this page, considering that there’s quite a number of hate comments/reviews here.
Oh how I wish you could feel the same as me towards this drama! But I understand that some concepts in the story are not your cup of tea. But I’m so happy to see you here too. ❤️
Some dramas are better to watch ongoing, and some are better to watch completed. This drama, IMO, is good to be watched both ways, depending on the type of watchers or the mood they’re in.
Right now I’m in the mood where I want to exercise my brain, so I’m really enjoying this drama. At first it was confusing, like running in a maze. But you know the moment when there’s something that we never knew we needed, until we got it and realised that it’s what we truly needed all along?
And helloooo? The leads’ chemistry be chemistry-ing hard, on and offscreen. I just watched their Netflix interview and BTS clips. They’re having so much fun and I’m so happy to see that.
Rowoon is such a baby off cam and Jo Bo Ah is like a playful noona. I’m not even their fan BUT maybe I will be 🤣
It’s frustrating that I love this drama even more! 😭
The thriller aspects are crawling out more actively. I love that earlier half episodes are light and fluffy, whilst later half episodes are more romantic and dark.
I don’t think the story is messy or whatsoever like all the bad comments say. I like all these theories filling the space in my head and I’d love to see how the writer will unfold the story.
It’s been so long since a drama gave me this kind of feelings. Most (mystery, thriller) Kdramas nowadays only give all-perfect storylines that don’t really feel intriguing. They mostly become predictable and forgettable and dull.
There are only 5 episodes left and I hope it will end on a high note!

Can you imagine? 😂

But his chemistry with ZLS still can’t beat his chemistry with Dilireba 😜

That’s what this drama means to me. 🥲
And IRL, it’d be useless to explain in that situation. Speaking from experience here.

Is it because of the hair? Or the facial expressions? Or just because he looks in love with HJ? I can’t really describe it.
Is he trying to make me become his fan? Stahhhppp 😩
It’s FRUSTRATING!
