The more I watch DWY I'm reminded of Secret Garden with both leads having hurdles to overcome.Fantasy, drinks,…
Yeahh I remember now. Both FLs expressions when having a crush are similar. MLs tried to deny their feelings but they become more obvious and uncontrollable. 😆
I agree, it is very good drama..I thought of not visiting here since people sent seem to watch the drama for what…
I’d like to tell you that as a fan of this drama, I feel really lucky to have people like you and @bloomingtide on this page. You also encouraged me to do the same here. 🥹
I am wondering the same. The drama changes the tone from light hearted to dark pretty smoothly and is keeping…
I personally think that one of the reasons is they’re not used to Kdramas with non-linear storylines. In other words, scattered puzzles.
Typical mystery Kdramas would put the puzzle pieces into straight lines so they don’t cause much of a hassle to complete the puzzle, but that doesn’t happen with this drama, for some people, apparently, which causes them to throw their frustration over the writing.
I don’t find this drama THAT confusing/messy like what they claimed. This is actually fun. 🤘🏼
I also just started this drama and am enoying it but I fast-forward some scenes (ML’s mother & lawyer friend…
I always experience the same thing with some hyped dramas, like It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Business Proposal & King the Land. Hahah
I can’t bring myself to watch AOS even tho my own sisters love that drama so much. For some reason it feels very similar to Cdrama in xianxia/Xuanhuan (low/high fantasy) genre.
But Moving seems interesting tho. I should try watching a few episodes and see it for myself. The actors are also cute, so… 🤣
Would you pls repost your review. Would love to read it. Thanks!
You can actually click the “Reviews” bar under the drama title above and you can scroll and find my review there.
But sure, I’ll also post it here 👇🏼
HEADLINES: “A Modern Kdrama with a Touch of Older Kdramas that Can Be Confusing and Unpredictable at Times”
REVIEWS:
“Destined with You” is NOT your typical Kdrama. It is a drama with a mix of light and dark genres, which starts with a light tone, then the tone shifts, darkens as the storylines get more serious to reveal the backstory, and make viewers realise that they’ve been given easter eggs along the way.
If you’re expecting it to hold smooth and consistent tones from start to end, then this drama might not be for you. If you’re expecting the characters to be perfect, ‘goody two shoes’, then this is also not for you.
I missed this kind of feelings I get from Kdramas that remind me of how I fell in love with Kdramaland 13 years ago. Most modern Kdramas have become more westernised, most storylines and characters have become rather… ‘forgettable’. Kdrama has been losing its essence since few years ago that I switched to Thai/C/Jdramas that feel more like home.
But this one, is some kind of refreshments for me. It’s modern, but it also contains some tropes we saw in older Kdramas.
We have leads with flaws, which allows space for character development. We have dramatic, confusing and exciting plots - best when we watch it ongoing, sharing theories with other viewers.
My final say:
I suggest if you’re ready to start watching this drama, go with an OPEN MIND. Just go with the flow (it has non-linear storylines, so that’s where it gets confusing sometimes), so that you won’t be questioning why this happens, why this character did what they did, etc..
Don’t be too stuck up and too strict. This way you might end up loving this drama as a whole!
EP1 ML is having his 🖐 moment and K.W. interrupts them.ML points out noise from K.W.'s office with a female…
I’m the type of viewer who does not skip/fast-forward scenes, unless there are too many unnecessary/repeated scenes or flashbacks (or scenes that are too spicy 🤣). Personally, I’d feel like my experience with the show would be incomplete if I did skip/ff.
But I do that if I lose interest in the story, most of the ones I did, I rate them 7 and below.
This drama is still okay and bearable as I don’t think it has many fillers.
I decided to rewatch the ML’s mother and Kim Wook’s scenes that I ff before. Like someone said, there’s nothing romantic between them. Maybe my decision back then was influenced by their shippers. 🤦🏻♀️
I think in a way, yes…? The FL had a crush on SML at first, but then her feelings faded then she started to…
I hope you’ll enjoy this drama!
Oh I need to remind you to watch it with an open mind tho, so that you wouldn’t be too strict and start to analyse every event and character in the drama instead of just enjoying the show. 😊
😆💓
All the bad comments got me questioning “what is it that you all don’t understand? Are we even watching the same drama?”
Let’s just focus on vibing with other fans of this drama! 🥺

It does feel original than other Kdramas nowadays.
I chose to ignore those bad reviews/comments and just enjoy the show while vibing with other viewers who also like the show.

There’s one more Kdrama in my PTW that keeps calling me to start watching - Moving. Have you watched this one?
Ugh so many dramas to watch, so little time we have… 😭
I can’t wait for the story to unfold further. Heheh
If you also like Thai dramas, we’re automatically friends then. 😜

PS: I edited the 3rd paragraph in my first reply.
