I’ve been in a Kdrama slump for like 2 years and the only Kdrama I managed to finish was The Uncanny Counter 2 (only because I’d been waiting for 2 years), which is a let-down.
Until someone on MDL recommended this drama to me. The storylines were confusing at first but I think they’re getting there, so I think it’s getting better.
I’m a type of watcher who hates and would avoid anything with cheating tropes, but in this one I don’t view the ML as a cheating boyfriend like some viewers do. He already asked for a breakup. It’s unfortunate that he got a toxic family and a manipulative girlfriend. And he’s in a vulnerable state at this point.
I really hope this drama will end on a high note because I’m starting to love it.
I’m actually not in the mood for fantasy genre right now, The only Kdrama I managed to watch during my Kdrama slump was The Uncanny Counter 2, which was a total let down compared to S1.
But Moving is already on my PTW list. It’s just that I’m not planning on watching it any soon.
For the brilliant script-writing especially in terms of dialogues, yes it’s very worth watching. The best healing drama, IMO.
But if you’re in the mood for a ‘dramatic’ story, then this might not be for you as it’s more character-driven than plot-driven, and it’s slow-paced.
I’m normally not into slow-paced stories but this one is an exception, and an excellent one at that.
You can start watching this drama when you’re in need of healing and refreshments. But just don’t expect anything big to happen in the plot, like childhood trauma, dark past, love triangles, jealousy or disapproval from parents-in-law.
What to expect: 1. Aesthetic cinematography 2. Dialogues that make us think critically/philosophically 3. Slow-burn but very satisfying romance between the main CP 4. Great acting & chemistry between all cast members 5. Peace & warmth

HCCC gets a little boring after they start dating, in my personal opinion. As a fellow Meet Yourself huge fan,…
I have always thought that there’s something lacking in HCCC, even when it was airing and MY at that time didn’t exist yet.
My opinions about HCCC were the same and will always be the same. It starts to get boring/uninteresting when the main couple starts dating.
I’ll always prefer MY over any other slice-of-life/healing dramas because of the scriptwriting. Calling it ‘masterpiece’ is an understatement. I’m still waiting for another drama that could beat MY, or even come close to it, especially in terms of scriptwriting. For now, none.
So my opinions are valid and I enjoyed both MY & HCCC, it’s just that I love MY more by a thousand miles.
I recently finished Go Go Squid. Any suggestions as to which dramas/movies worth watching with Li Xian. I was…
I know it’s been 2 years but have you watched “Meet Yourself”? It’s a slow-paced slice -of-life drama but it’s super good. A masterpiece, especially in its scriptwriting.

True 😂 I cannot forget your comment while watching this drama. The way he moved his head and Luo Na patted…
Yesss those are my favourite scenes! He’s such a baby boy. 🥹
I’m usually not into ‘Older FL-Younger ML’ trope (the only dramas with this trope that I enjoyed are “Romance is a Bonus Book” & “Sunshine by Your Side”) but this is good!

The ML starts to have feelings for FL in ep 11, but he actually fell for her at first sight. Ep 11 makes it obvious that he likes her.
The FL starts to fall for him in ep 19, but it’s obvious in ep 22.

But thank you for your suggestion! :)

I haven’t watched LLTG yet and I’m still new to Cdramaland, but I know about the occasion back then.
I think the biggest factor might be her baby face looks.
So what if it’s a “travel mag”? It’s one of their ways to promote Yunnan province and many people love it.
If you were expecting something DRAMATIC, then this is not for you.

The parents are against their relationship at first, but they’re convince later and they’re not the type of parents who control their child.
Moreover, it has one of my favourite tropes, which is “ML/FL from the city goes to the countryside and falls in love with a local”. ❤️
