This might be the wrong place to ask, but I swear I saw it in the comments before. I am trying to find Zhang Zhehan's short film Brother (Ge) with English subtitle. Maybe someone can help. Thanks.
Oh s...t, ZZH is in deep trouble after old photos of him at Yasukuni shrine popped up or perhaps better to say…
We'll see if he survives this. The way I see it, what started as targeted attack by antis is now being used to make example of him. So, we will not see anything from him for at least year or two, I've been told.
So which scene/episode got you hooked on WOH? Describe your experience.I'm always on the lookout for a good wuxia…
From the first episode, I was hooked. Zhou Zishu's costume, the lanterns, the entire esthetic, the fight on the roof, I was done for, lol. The seven nails and the meeting between our core characters just confirmed what I already knew, I was going to love the drama.
Okay I'm not done with the untamed yet but I saw this in my recommended. I just wantee to ask are they gonna convert…
Officially, it's bromance (because => censorship). But, there is pure romance on the screen. TU is far more discrete and subtle, to quote AvenueX: 'you have to hunt for sugar'. There is no need for sugar hunting in WOH, it's all on screen.
Mind you, don't expect anything more than hand holding and hugs that can me explained differently to censors. Like, they aren't hugging because they care/love each other but because one is consoling the other etc....
Don't believe the rumor. If it's true, WoH would've been taken down in the middle of its broadcast and none of…
I apologize for misinformation, I should have checked the article better. However, new rules WERE established in the first quarter of this year. Maybe you should explore AvenueX YouTube, she explained in one of her videos why WOH got lucky =>they got broadcast license before the new rules were adopted.
Also, about Immortality, because people speculate about it in connection with WOH, the drama hasn't been released because VFX aren't done yet, as far as I know they got the license.

As far as I know the censorship got stricter in March for everything, including and particularly affecting LGBTQ+ dramas. This didn't affect WOH, they only had to submit the script to the censors. After the new rules were adopted, the dramas have to submit filmed material as well. New restrictions were apparently being added recently as well: https://variety.com/2020/tv/asia/china-tv-regulators-story-supervision-censorship-1234704571/
O.K. Big PLUS for the second episode - they didn't drag the misunderstanding. Wu is the most honest, kindest man. Luo Jie, your vinegar jug is showing. :P
I like that they start every episode with firefighting action. So far, the drama is a lemonade, it's sweet and a good waste of time. Don't expect lifechanging experience.
I hope the writing for the female lead improves, because I find the actress really likable but, so far, she barely has anything to work with.
...if it ends with Kenshin dying of stupid illness which even the manga author hated , I don't want it. Though…
Thank you. It's just that I mixed my Kenshin OVAs (it has been 20 years after all) and thought about Reflection (he dies) instead of Trust and Betrayal which is where he met Tomoe. That's a relief.
Solid first episode. First impression: firefighting parts are better than anything else, based on two interactions (one by phone) the chemistry between the leads still isn't there. But, early days... Gong Jun is handsome, Zhang Hui Wen is cute, hopefully it will get better.
I can see myself watching for firefighting parts alone. Based on a single case, they are realistic and the team is likable.
From ZZH, we see the initial shock of seeing WKX alive, the realization of what he has done to himself, the slow…
One example was New Year dinner with Chengling. Watch both of their faces when the boy starts talking and they think he's sad because he lost his family especially Zhang Zhehan's. And then minute changes in their expressions when he says that he is actually happy. The first time you watch, you whole experience is: LOOK FOUND FAMILY! AAAAAAH! But, on re-watch you see the subtleties. The actors were all exceptional.

I adore this episode. Two of my favorite moments: WKX guilty, contrite smile at ZZS. Also when ZZS 'love taps' WKX face and you can see the suppressed anger, he could and probably wanted to hit him, but the relief is too real. Moments like this is why I love this drama. I am re-watching it at snails pace (one episode every couple of days) and I am discovering more and more moments like these.
I just googled "word of honor Gu Xiang" and just when I wanted to typ "and Cao Wei Ning" behind it, google spoiled…
I'm sorry, this was spoiled for me too. But, later, I was grateful, if I didn't know, the angst would have killed me. This way, I was able to prepare myself. It was still tough. One advice, if you have another question, maybe is safer to ask here than to google.
Re-watching episode 23 from the perspective of what happened later is heartbreaking: Wen Kexing telling Cao Weining how, being child himself, he burned Gu Xiang's mouth first time he tried to feed her and she only smiled because she was afraid he would leave her and Cao Weining swearing on his life that he would never let her down. All of it just tugs at your heartstrings.
I will wait for the others to see this movie, because...
...if it ends with Kenshin dying of stupid illness which even the manga author hated , I don't want it. Though considering who the author turned out to be, that is not a recommendation, yet I still don't want it.
So, I had a pretty similar experience to yours.

The rules from March: https://qz.com/630159/chinas-new-television-rules-ban-homosexuality-drinking-and-vengeance/
Wen Kexing alone defies half of these rules, but Zhou Zishu is not far behind when you analyze everything.

Angry A-Xu is incredibly sexy. :D
