Seriously. It's not like we didn't warn them weeks ago... We told them SWLGT resolution is in the extra chapters when the main couple story is done. Meaning they can't tell their storyline fully without fucking up the main couple's story and timeline. Oh well... We might not even see Sheng's pregnancy and they're talking about SWLGT screentime 🤣 Hope they'll surprise us with a special episode with a timejump, with peanut and gaolele.

It's not poor directing per se. They're following the novel where there's not much story about the second couple. Their resolution is in the extra chapters when the main couple story is done. That's unfortunate but they can't tell their storyline fully without fucking up the main couple's story and timeline.
I've read that originally the series was 24 episodes but they had to cut it to 16 episodes. Maybe they adapted the extra chapters in the latter episodes but we might not see it ? Maybe they will make a special episode centered around SWLGT.
I could watch dozen episodes of HuaYong & Sheng lovey dovey moments. I love their relationship dynamics now that HuaYong is being himself. And I love seeing Sheng "thrives" under HuaYong' love and care. I don't care about anything else.
I like it so far. Nothing exceptional but it's a nice characters driven plot with chill vibe. Not every series needs to be complicated. I like the characters, especially Winny's. It's a change from the characters he played previously. Wave's situation is really pitiful, but in a way, he got what he wanted : to be someone else for a time, to live new experiences before becoming king.
Even without the NC scene, Jet and Charn carried this episode. I'm enjoying the progression of their relationship…
I like that they're honest with their emotions and express them : Jet telling Charn he has pretty eyes, Charn explaining their past lives. I was expecting him to keep it a secret for several episodes for the sake of drama. I love how they were both into the NC, shy, awkward but smiling and eager. Very fitting for their characters. Tbh I'm still watching the series for them and Rampueng. MLs' storyline is weirdly paced and feels forced.
