what you are referring to is socio-path, socio path can be bully cannot be , bully can be anyone-- socio, pyscho, narcissistic,having superior-complex, inferior complex, personal problems, in other words a bad person and it can be any reason for them to bully others and it doesn't change their feelings and can also like other things , ofcourse connection and disconnection of sympathy comes with the your own ideology, and yeah she bullied her because she said no to her(from viewer pov) and also it can be other reasons as well because she hasnt told why she bullied her and same goes for her children she likes her because she is her daughter and she has feelings but she dont care about others . and even if her child is not strong and stuff it can vary she might make hate her but since its her child she will try to hide her as it can be embarrassing for her to have a child who is dumb or weak while she is praised for her beauty,standard and stuff , but she doesnt care either she can protect if she weak and stuff, in summary she is not a socio-path to have no feelings she just bullied her because she didnt listen to her.
just because the drama is understated,melo doesnt mean every character has to be sad, burned out, depressed. some people are bright because their life is bright , we shouldnt get angry on or annoyed because that certain someone is always smiling and happy in his/her-- same goes for sfl , she is happy , healthy , rich why she have to show gloom-ness on her face when she isn't feeling it and get hated on for being coy with the ml. It always been like that ,the sad character get hated on in the bright drama and bright character gets hated on in the sad drama. that still doesnt imply whom we are rooting for, either its ml-fl or 2nd ml-fl or ml-2nd fl , ship whomever u want but accept whom they end-up with in the end, hate someone for the character or ideology they are portraying, grow up.
