I actually didn't like him in other dramas, somehow his acting always seemed bland and weak to me. But in this drama, I find it quite interesting and suitable to his role. He is actually showing more emotions than he usually does in other dramas, lol. Maybe the influence of other actors works as well, because his scenes with SY are just different. They have more emotions and expressions. I feel he has improved alot too. Since the supporting cast is strong too, I feel his role is coming out well as well. He did well in Under the Queen's umbrella as well, ah there he was sick prince as well . 🤡🫢 Looks like he truly suits such pitiful, sickly roles.

I have read this webtoon long ago but stopped it after a few chapters as it was not translated that time and understanding raw was quite difficult because of its historical Korean words usage. I am glad I dropped it because watching the drama first hand is much more thrilling and exciting without knowing what is going to happen next. The actors are doing an amazing job in portraying the comical scenes and emotional rollercoaster. SY is seriously the queen of historical dramas, the characters she always picks is strong, quirky woman in historical times. Love how they showed her character in past times and let us know how different she was in her time and this way she can use her talent in this world too. The preview of next episode was quite dramatic and interesting. Can't wait for it.

Yes. I recently finished Bai Lu's only for love and was looking for some of her good dramas because she is truly a great actress and ended up watching this. This one didn't disappoint me at all, the drama deserves all the hype and praises. She perfectly did the role of a villainess and someone who was traumatized with the past. That was so well done

I also felt so bad. I have seen so many second male leads but this drama has 2 second male leads, even more torture. But Yan Lin loved her sm, his love for her was true and it hurt even more thinking about their past relationship. I just compeletd this drama and I still cannot forget about their chemistry.

Yeah! His character was so well done, he left all the ladies fawning for him. It was flirty, mischievous and yet held the weight and impact. His character development was so top-notch! I love Jiang Ning's chemistry with Zhang Zhe as well, seeing her walking away from him hurt my heart but Xie Wei and her were meant to be. After Love like the galaxy, it should be mine second historical chinese drama that I must have completed. Between this, I did watched a few more chinese historical drama but couldn't complete them. Because their long length and intense political game hurts my heart. looks like I am kinda getting immuned to such intense political dramas.

I am glad I asked if it's going to be a happy ending or not. Because without knowing that it will be a happy ending, I couldn't have complete it. It was so heavy, intense, full of angst, twist and turs and politics. Even by the last episode, it seemed like it will be sad ending then boom! Surprise. I am glad that they gave it a happy ending, otherwise, I couldn't have bear watching it despite the great chemistry. The fl had great chemistry with all 3 leads, loved their story, relationship and flow of the story. I wish we could have gotten more sweet time but I am still happy, they not only showed their wedding but also how they were living in the future as well. A proper wrap up. The only sad thing was Fangyin, I wish she would have lived and stayed by the side of Jiang Ning, this way it would have been a happy ending for all. Seeing her dying was the saddest thing during this show, she was such a nice character and her love story needed more time. Poor her, but her death awoke many emotions in her heart, made me cry so bad. This drama feels like happy ending version of Moon lovers: Scarlet heart Ryeo, it had female lead knowing what can happen in the future, tries to prevent it but everything was going according to the story. In the end, she lost her life to the cruel political life, but here we seen some positive changes, not too many death of the leads and finally, a happy ending and them meeting in the modern times was the cherry on the cake.

I have seen Ningning in Chuang 2020 and she was a great dancer and performer but I wasn't sure about her acting skills. I have seen her in supporting roles but this time, her character was so strong and impactful. I literally cried when she was bidding farewell to Jiang Ning. Her character development was impeccable, from being the pampered princess to dutiful, responsible Princess who was being wed to another country. It was also surprising because in usual stories the Princess always go against the main FL but here they were best friends and she was so supportive of her without any conditions. It was so rare, same with Jiang Ning's sister Hui. Initially I thought her character would be like a white lotus, greedy, bitchy but she turned out to be so nice and thoughtful. It wasn't her fault that she was swapped by her mother, I felt bad for her when the Prince chose her as concubine. I don't know who to hate more here, Emperor or that Lady Xue. He is so easy to be manipulated, he thought that he was using her but that evil woman can easily use his powers and manipulate him.

This drama is so intense and depressing at times. Kinda reminds me of the pain and angst I felt while watching Moon Lovers: SH Ryeo and Love like the galaxy. But I would still say that Love like the Galaxy had more romance but this one is purely full of angst, politics and drama. I can't believe I am watching such a heavy drama but I am so into it that's it's hard to give up. I loved her chemistry with Zhang Zhe and seeing her hurting him after his mother's death pains me sm. We all know how much she cares for him and love him and so does he and seeing her hurting me makes me cry so bad. She is doing everything for him but still, it hurts. They did such a great to justify all the ships and we're living for them.

It's basically like the author was writing a novel and want to change the ending and then the rebirth scene. They kinda justified the rebirth phenomenon by using the novel as an excuse. Because anything is possible in a fantasy novel you see. So you can say whatever happening was inside a novel, her being same as the author has nothing to do with the plot.

This is the problem of the harem dramas. Jiang Ning has the best bond with Yan Lin and tbh, my heart cries for him. He was such a sunflower of the drama and to see him in this state, simply torns my heart apart. The past was truly cruel for both of them. But at least, in this life she atoned to her mistakes and helped her friend who was by her side through thick and thin. I also loved the subtle chemistry between her and Zhang Zhe. Same with Xie Wei. I know she is bound to be paired with Xie Wei but I feel so bad that she cannot be together with the other two. 😭😭 I am just at episode 20 yet and halfway through the drama and it's getting intense now.

Bai Lu is releasing hits one by one. I first saw her in Military arsenal and for the first time, someone looked believable as a girl hidden as a man. After watching her till the end of the moon, only for love and here. I wasn't planning to watch it because I was so traumatized by till the end of the moon, which made me cry sm. But seeing everyone praising this drama, I decided to try it and loving it so far. I love this kind of plot so this drama became my fav instantly. I loved how they showed that it's all happening in a novel, like they kept the practicality and fiction together.

Thank God. I just started it and was halfway through the first episode and already loved it. But it also have me sad ending vibes so just wanted to confirm it. Now I can watch this drama with peace of mind.

Does it have happy ending? Because I want to watch it but scared of sad endings.

I didn't watched the original one but korean version and even in that one, he still had talent but I don't see anything genius or talented here. I anticipated for this version all year, hoping it would be better than the korean. TBH they changed quite alot of things which kinda makes the ML's character less deep and more childish. I am watching it because of Veekit and the expectations I had, but I am kinda glad that it had 10 episodes only. It's less stressful and less drama. lol.

Exactly. I have noticed that if I wait for a drama to end, I somehow lose interest in it and cannot start it again because I have seen too many reels on insta about it. That is why I started it because I wanted to watch this one and not lost interest in it, like other so many good dramas. But again, I have to wait for episodes. 😭🤡

I agree. Shuyi wasn't that bad as a female character as most of the fl reacts the same way in front of their loved ones. But yes, the reason behind her revenge was kinda casual? I mean, tbh I didn't even realise through half of that show that she was faking. I thought that she wanted to meet her uncle and seduce her but realizing that it was shi Yan, her interviewer, she dropped that idea and focused on interview. The flirty remarks and stuff, everything looked natural and not forced as if she was planning something. It would have been better if they had shown more of her perspective as her acting, because her feelings looked too real since start and suddenly she was confused with revenge. This confusion should have come in the middle of that's the case when her feelings started to grow. That was kinda messed up part for me, the drama was great but the small details were missing that would have bind the whole drama in my opinion.
