It's basically like the author was writing a novel and want to change the ending and then the rebirth scene. They kinda justified the rebirth phenomenon by using the novel as an excuse. Because anything is possible in a fantasy novel you see. So you can say whatever happening was inside a novel, her being same as the author has nothing to do with the plot.

This is the problem of the harem dramas. Jiang Ning has the best bond with Yan Lin and tbh, my heart cries for him. He was such a sunflower of the drama and to see him in this state, simply torns my heart apart. The past was truly cruel for both of them. But at least, in this life she atoned to her mistakes and helped her friend who was by her side through thick and thin. I also loved the subtle chemistry between her and Zhang Zhe. Same with Xie Wei. I know she is bound to be paired with Xie Wei but I feel so bad that she cannot be together with the other two. 😭😭 I am just at episode 20 yet and halfway through the drama and it's getting intense now.

Bai Lu is releasing hits one by one. I first saw her in Military arsenal and for the first time, someone looked believable as a girl hidden as a man. After watching her till the end of the moon, only for love and here. I wasn't planning to watch it because I was so traumatized by till the end of the moon, which made me cry sm. But seeing everyone praising this drama, I decided to try it and loving it so far. I love this kind of plot so this drama became my fav instantly. I loved how they showed that it's all happening in a novel, like they kept the practicality and fiction together.

Thank God. I just started it and was halfway through the first episode and already loved it. But it also have me sad ending vibes so just wanted to confirm it. Now I can watch this drama with peace of mind.

Does it have happy ending? Because I want to watch it but scared of sad endings.

I didn't watched the original one but korean version and even in that one, he still had talent but I don't see anything genius or talented here. I anticipated for this version all year, hoping it would be better than the korean. TBH they changed quite alot of things which kinda makes the ML's character less deep and more childish. I am watching it because of Veekit and the expectations I had, but I am kinda glad that it had 10 episodes only. It's less stressful and less drama. lol.

Exactly. I have noticed that if I wait for a drama to end, I somehow lose interest in it and cannot start it again because I have seen too many reels on insta about it. That is why I started it because I wanted to watch this one and not lost interest in it, like other so many good dramas. But again, I have to wait for episodes. 😭🤡

I agree. Shuyi wasn't that bad as a female character as most of the fl reacts the same way in front of their loved ones. But yes, the reason behind her revenge was kinda casual? I mean, tbh I didn't even realise through half of that show that she was faking. I thought that she wanted to meet her uncle and seduce her but realizing that it was shi Yan, her interviewer, she dropped that idea and focused on interview. The flirty remarks and stuff, everything looked natural and not forced as if she was planning something. It would have been better if they had shown more of her perspective as her acting, because her feelings looked too real since start and suddenly she was confused with revenge. This confusion should have come in the middle of that's the case when her feelings started to grow. That was kinda messed up part for me, the drama was great but the small details were missing that would have bind the whole drama in my opinion.

Seriously. I planned to start watching it after some episodes but couldn't control myself and ended up watching the two episodes. Now I am regretting my decision. I should have waited, because it's going to be hell lot of torture to wait for next episodes.

I have read this webtoon long ago, when it only started and was raw. At that time I was practicing Korean so my focus was more on words and vocab than the story. Though I liked the story at that time, it was difficult for me to keep it up with the story as an intermediate student only as it had many historical words. I feel I am enjoying this drama more than I had expected. It is fast paced, the actors are doing great and the chemistry is superb. I am not a huge fan of this ml as I cannot complete most of his dramas. But his chemistry with SY is amazing. This girl is made of sageuk dramas and nailing every role related to historical parts. She is funny, elegant, graceful and quirky at the same time. I am looking forward for more of this drama, I feel it's going to be the masterpiece of this year, but cannot say the winner. Because there are many good dramas releasing this year and are about to be released. Yet it will be one of my favs of this year.

Right. There are many dramas with hit ratings that I doesn't quite like and many dramas with poor ratings which became my obsession. So it happens. Some people focuses more on chemistry, some on plot, some on visuals or some on length of the drama. Everyone's reasoning to consider a drama good varies.

About camera angle, I agree. I feel directing and camera work is quite lousy. Because the kiss scenes were so bad, Bai lu can give good kiss scenes but the camera always zooms out at important moments and that spin moments,I also feel that it needed work. There were many points where I feel FL's character was quite inconsistent which even confused me. At times they showed her as strong, independent and smart girl and suddenly the next moment, she becomes so stupid. It wasn't like she was single for a long time, instead she was in a long relationship so sometimes her forced naivety kinda confused me. But overall, I found this drama quite entertaining and it made me at edge to look forward for the next episode. I would say this drama was a hit because of it's casting, because not only main leads but side or supporting characters were amazing and had a good storyline going on.

About the drama recommendations, I don't usually check videos or something. I simply reads the synopsis, or the fmv or shorts of their scenes. If I find them interesting and have a good chemistry, then I give it a chance. I started this one because it had both top tier cast and it made me curious about their unique pair as a couple. I feel drama reviewers opinion can be quite different and might affect my judgment, so I generally avoid them.

I didn't see her rant but I did see a reel, someone saying about this drama in Instagram. They ruthlessly critized the camera angles, Bai lu's fashion in the drama and the chemistry. Tbh at that point, I haven't noticed much negative points and sometimes it feels forced. I mean, writing is not perfect for sure, but as a rom com , it was very good compared to many other popular yet lousy dramas. I don't understand why there is so much negative issue about this drama. There isn't something too bad about this drama that people are making a big deal out of it.

Exactly. Like others I also check the comments and reviews before watching a drama but I try to focus on positive ones first than the negative ones. Because if I like the reasonablity in positive ones, then those drama might be to my liking, so I give them a try. This drama has mixed reaction, there are people who liked it and some felt that it was compeletely a waste. I would say that it was a pretty good drama, could have been better if we have lesser number of episodes with less misunderstanding, dragged episodes. The last 6 episodes were such a pleasant watch and gave a perfect ending to the drama, plus bonus episode which I haven't watched it yet.

I am at episode 34 and will finish the remaining 2 episodes by today. I just want to drop my opinion here, though I have written enough already for this drama. This drama is for those who love light-hearted rom-coms with not much heavy story going around and can watch a simple love story with good chemistry. Because this drama doesn't have much of a plot if that's what you're looking for, it's a typical rom-com with good amount of chemistry and slow-burn. If you're looking for fast paced drama, then it might not be your fav but I loved it. I was looking for some office light rom-com and it fulfilled all of my requirements. It was flirty, funny, had romance and most important, Dylan and Bai Lu gave us best chemistry. The first and last episodes were the best, got a bit draggy in middle with misunderstanding part but after that it's all flowery path. I am loving it sm and can't believe I have to bid goodbye to this drama. It has become a routine to watch it in the evening, now I have to look for another drama with similar feels. If you're worried about the negative comments and reviews, I would say that watch first two episodes and see if you like it or not. Because many times we tend to judge a drama based on negative comments and it could turn into a best drama for you. This one is the same which has lots of negative comments, especially because of top cast because of course, they might have certain high expectations. But if you're like me, focused mainly on drama and chemistry, then this might be to your liking.
